If you are tracking with the Southern Baptist RAPID DECLINE and are going to ask “how is this happening” -then look no further than the funding entanglements behind an upcoming event at the 2023 SBC in New Orleans aimed at “ReForming Gen Z”. It is a tainted- filthy – and corrupt reveal behind the spreading leaven of “woke justice” and universalist /interfaith / trending merger of faith and science/ social change on LGBTQ+ /race based Critical Theory /Intersectionality and even Facebook asserted controls on how the internet is used and the flow of information to Christians.
Recently the schedule for the Southern Baptist Conventions annual meetings to be held this coming week in New Orleans in 2023 were announced. Besides the usual corruptions creeping in during recent decades – one of this years events aimed toward next generation- GEN Z Baptist is most disturbing because of the participants, the goals it has set forth and the horrific funding behind it.

Re-Forming Gen Z: Sexuality, Technology, and Human Formation
“Re-Forming Gen Z: Sexuality, Technology and Human Formation“
About this event
“Jacob Shatzer of Union University, Jason Thacker of Boyce College, and Rachel Gilson of Cru join us to discuss the challenges facing Gen Z and how we can equip them with the gospel. We are excited to host this conversation with those serving today’s college students and helping us to better understand these challenges and hold to the hope we have in the gospel.”
“This event is hosted by the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. This event is part of a larger project titled “Being Human: Theology and Praxis” made possible through the support of a grant from the John Templeton Foundation. We thank the Foundation for its generosity, and we pray that our efforts will prove helpful for facilitating thoughtful dialogue and fruitful ministry.”

FACTS ABOUT THE FUNDING HAVE BEEN DOCUMENTED FOR MANY YEARS NOW
SEBTS is sponsoring this SBC event with its “Center for Faith and Culture”. Seminaries “Centers for Faith and Culture ” have been infiltrated by the socialist economics and leftist driven justice called “Faith & Works “- for the “Common Good” indoctrination for over a decade. The curriculum has been provided by Libertarian think tanks like Acton Institute fronted by voices like Tim Keller and Russell Moore and funded by Kern Family Foundation. Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary SEBTS has been involved in this network of influence and funding since 2009. SEBTS represents the leading edge of the social justice /WOKE error among SBC institutions. The grants are ongoing since 2009 at SEBTS and almost ALL conservative seminaries- including other SBC seminaries took the funding. These grants are overseen by Kern Family Foundations Oikonomia Network which is also a major partner with The Gospel Coaltion and the social “WOKE” justice errors in once conservative Christian higher education institutions .
“The Kern Family Foundation Grants Significant Funding to SEBTS for New Courses”
“The Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Family Foundation has awarded Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) a grant of over $200,000. The grant will fund initiatives concerning faith, work and economics in academic classes.”
“Provost and Dean of Faculty and Associate Professor of Theology and Culture at SEBTS, Bruce Ashford, said, “I am profoundly grateful to The Kern Family Foundation for its willingness to assist with the resources necessary to carry out this project.”
( NOTE- Provost and Dean Bruce Ashford has since left SEBTS -is divorced and was recently involved in accusations from a passenger in his
“The Kern Family Foundation, through their Oikonomia Network, is committed to preparing pastors “to describe work and the economy in moral and spiritual terms” in order to “help people live out Christianity full-time in all they do.”
The faith, work and economics classes will enable pastors to grasp a deeper understanding of these topics to instill in their congregations. “SEBTS’ Economic Wisdom project is designed to help pastors strike the right note in leading their congregations toward a healthy, biblically-based view of the workplace and the economy,” Ashford said.”….”A forum with a nationally acclaimed speaker will be held in the coming months in partnership with The Kern Family Foundation and The L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture and The Spurgeon Center at SEBTS.”
“It is difficult to overstate our gratefulness to God for The Kern Family Foundation and their foresight in making this initiative possible. Real-world issues that emerge at the intersections of faith, work and economics are not peripheral, but central, to the Christian life,” Ashford said. “This grant affords Southeastern an unprecedented opportunity to develop a robust series of courses that will serve as the backbone of a world-class preparation benefitting current and future pastors as they lead their flock to glorify Christ in all aspects of their daily lives.”
SEBTS AND THE TEMPLETON FOUNDATION FUNDING FOR THIS EFFORT & EVENT
NOTE- Templeton is the primary funding behind the “Merger of Faith and Science ” or what is known in Christian circles as “Theistic Evolution” via ( among others ) William Lane Craig apologetics and Francis Collins, Tim Keller promoted BioLogos. Templeton funds this effort on an interfaith level to the tune of $150 million per year and BioLogos for example gets north of $4 million of its $9 plus million annual budget from Templeton Foundation.
Templeton also promotes a growing Interfaith /Multi faith dialog and has in the past stated that its funding grants are lead by their principle to fund religious organizations which adhere to no sacred text”.
THE FRUIT?
As a result of the BioLogos /Templeton influence across the Christian churches, movements, institutions apologetics spectrum The validiity of a Young Earth and high view of scriptural creation and time line of Genesis 1-11 are now under serious assault WITHIN THE CHURCH AND MANY CHRISTIAN INSTITUTIONS.
NOTE TEMPLETON IS ALSO SEEKING TO INFILITRATE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT EVERY LEVEL

)Saints must read and consider this carefully -) again about BioLogos
“A nonprofit spurs conversations about science and Christianity at conventions, churches, and campuses.
“Much of what Ted Davis does as Fellow of the History of Science for the BioLogos Foundation might be described as taking the work of the ivory tower down to the ground floor.”
“I’m interested in bringing the best scholarship on science and Christianity out of the academy and onto the street,” says Davis, a professor of the history of science at Messiah College. Davis writes a biweekly online column for BioLogos about the role religious belief has played in shaping key developments in the history of science. In one column, for example, he explores the evolution of Darwin’s thought on God, faith, and science.”
“Making high-quality resources of this sort available to non-academic audiences was the inspiration behind BioLogos. The organization, launched in 2007, began as a place to discuss common reader questions about the book The Language of God by Francis Collins, leader of the Human Genome Project. “
NOTE Bio?Logos founder Collins was found to be lying to the public and media abotu his organizations and Fauci funding of “Gain of Function ” research in the lead up to the Covid 19 Pandemic -using burner phones and non official emails. Collins resigned the NIH soon after these issues were exposed. NOW his BioLogos focus on the church seems little impacted by his problematic involvement in the WuHan lab experiments exposure.
TEMPLETON TOPICS – CHRISTIAN AND INTERFAITH:
“Faith And Science Teaching: Enhancement Of Reach.”
“The Faith and Science Teaching (FAST) Project (Grant ID# 39689), herein referred to as “Phase 1,” worked to equip high school teachers to engage with big questions around faith and science with both confidence and creativity. All too often, religion and science classrooms limit the interaction of these topics to a debate about conflicting truth claims. During Phase 1, we identified a number of alternative (and much more fruitful) ways of integrating education at the intersection of faith and science. By addressing this arena of potential conflict with pedagogical excellence and faithful inquiry, teachers are freed up to both teach excellent science and promote the formation of virtues without discord or fear.”
“Religious Understandings Of Science-2015 “
“Contrary to polarized media reports covering religious attitudes toward science, initial interview data from the Religious Understandings of Science study reveals that many religious people think that their faith can be harmonious with science and share narratives about the positive intersections between belief and science. Through the combined depth of personal interviews and the breadth of a survey, we explore how religious Americans think through complex scientific issues. This project involves observing religious services, as well as several hundred personal interviews with religious people from a variety of traditions, including Catholics, Jews, Evangelicals, Muslims, and Mainline Protestants. To complement these personal interviews, we are conducting a nationally representative survey of 10,000 Americans. We will present our findings to academic scientists and suggest how they might more effectively communicate with religious communities. We will also provide the findings to congregations who participated in the study. This study is furthering productive conversation in the ongoing dialogue about science and religion.”

“Being Human: Theology And Praxis”
“The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), representing more than 47,000 churches and 15 million persons, recognizes a conflict between faith and science. The L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture (CFC) at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) seeks to create more openness among our faculty and 5,302 students, and model how respectful dialogue between faith and science can occur by focusing on the theme of what it means to be human. Convinced that “all truth is God’s truth,” we intend to reduce a conflict posture, especially in areas like evolution, and promote charitable and respectful dialogue. We aim to impact SBC scholars and seminary professors; SEBTS alumni; current and future SBC pastors, namely SEBTS students; and lay audiences.”
“To achieve this goal, we will pursue scholarly engagement activities around three core themes: Year 1-What it means to be human; Year 2-Human Formation and Flourishing; and Year 3-Humans and Technology. Twelve scholars will gather in annual multi-day interdisciplinary workshops and a scholar in residence program will bring scientists and theologians to campus. For SEBTS students, we will host an exclusive mentorship program. We will reinforce these activities for our students, alumni, and community via a major annual conference and a series of six to eight annual campus events. We will augment these with off-campus events, including closed door meetings between SBC leaders and scientists, and the production of online resources (20 articles, 12 podcasts, 10 videos per year). These activities will produce academic papers and books to influence the teaching and research of at least sixty-eight SBC scholars as well as reach more than a thousand pastors and seminary students and more than 1.6 million others via website traffic, podcast listens, and media coverage along with a million media impressions from our ad campaign. Finally, we seek to raise at least $500,000 towards a $1.5 million endowment for the CFC.”
ERLC FACEBOOK GRANT FUNDING FOR INTERNET AND TECHNOLOGY USE BY CHRISTIANS
ERLC’s Jason Thacker who is speaking at the SEBTS sponsored SBC event this coming week heads the FACEBOOK GRANT funded “Ethics for a Digital Age”.
(From Baptist Press article October 28 2021 )
“While the Digital Public Square is funded by the Cooperative Program, the SBC’s unified giving plan, Facebook Technologies LLC also provided a research grant after the effort was under way. Thacker provided assurances to the trustees and on the project’s website that Facebook has no direct or indirect oversight regarding the project.”
THE ERLC DIGITAL ETHICS PROJECT AND ITS AIM…WORKING WITH ONE OF THE WORLDS LARGEST CENSORSHIP OFFENDERS SOCIAL MEDIA TO ENSURE FREE SPEECH AND DRAFT ETHICAL GUIDELINES… REALLY ?
“Ethics for a Digital Age”
“Championing free speech and religious freedom in an increasingly polarized society”
“The digital age promised deep connections, rich communication, and more access to information than we could ever imagine. But while technology has brought incredible benefits and conveniences into our lives, it also has led to countless unintended consequences and deep ethical challenges that push us to consider how to live out our faith in a technological society.”
“The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission is launching a new research project called the “Digital Public Square.” This project will provide resources to help you navigate this digital age and think through complex and crucial ethical challenges with biblical wisdom and insight.”
“The “Digital Public Square” will include leaders from across society who will answer questions like: What is the proper role of government in digital governance? How do I disciple others if they are being primarily shaped by technology? How do we champion free speech and religious freedom in an increasingly polarized society?“
“The ERLC will produce numerous resources for the church, business community, and government leaders on how to navigate the challenges of the digital public square in a way that upholds free expression and religious freedom, as well as contributes to a more civil and constructive public discourse across ideological and religious viewpoints. The project will focus on issues of Christian ethics — including the public nature of faith, religious freedom, hate speech/violence, seuxality/gender issues, pornography, objectionable content, misinformation, digital authoritarianism, and issues of discipleship in the digital age.”
“The project, Thacker said, will help answer such questions as:
- What is the proper role of government in digital governance?
- How do I disciple other people if they’re primarily being shaped by technology in their use and habits?
- How do we champion free speech and religious freedom in an increasingly polarized society?
NOTE THE ERLC IS ALSO PROMOTING ANOTHER EVENT AT SBC IN RACIAL UNITY
ERLC Unify Project
9:00 PM – 10:30 PM
New Orleans Convention Center • Room R06-R09, Level 2
More Info: https://erlc.com/sbc23/
This “Ethics and Unity “event has disgraced one term SBC WOKE -plagiarist President Ed Litton and an actiivst pastor who the SBCs NAMB used to split and accuse a conservative Florida church in Naples of Racism -excommunicating its members who refused to vote for the WOKE pastor Marcus Hayes.
ERLC’s New President Brent Leatherwood is also part of this Unify racial event . Leatherwood came straight from being ousted for creating division and undermining conservatives candidates and delgates in the TN GOP to be hired by now disgraced former ERLC head Russell Moore.
(You really cannot make this stuff up- THESE are the lead “ETHICISTS ” FOR THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION.)
LEATHERWOOD/ REVOICE AND THE 2018 DALLAS SBC
This author was also falsely accused at SBC 2018 event and removed from the building by armed Dallas police doing security for the SBC. This series of events came about because of this authors exposure of the ERLC UNDER-CURRENT ENDORSEMENT LGBTQ Thriving in the church “Revoice” movement which came out of SBTS . SBTS is the flagship Baptist Seminary where ERLC’s Moore was employed for 24 years. Leatherwood- the current ERLC President denies his role in having this author removed but the Dallas Police report and this authors account confirm the actual events. Also the ERLC/ the SBC Executive Committee Baptist event security told three radically different versions of the accusations and removal before settling on a #metoo style accusation against this author. NONE of those stories or versions fit with the detailed Dallas Police report from 2018. In short these people are not ethical or honest BUT they are in charge of the SBC.
NOTE – ERLC IN 2020 AFTER YEARS OF REVOICE CONTROVERSY AND HIGH LEVEL SBC DENIALS -ENDORSE REVOICE FOUNDER NATE COLLINS “ALL BUT INVISIBLE ” BOOK AS ITS PRIMARY SOURCE FOR A PARENTS GUIDE ON GENDER .

RACHEL GILSON-CRU WOKENESS AND REVOICE LGBTQ FLOURISHING
Rachel Gilson is a Sexual Minority activist often used to promote the SSA/SOGI agenda in conservative churches and events through her involvement with The Gospel Coalition / the ERLC and her job at CRU-formerly Campus Crusade. CRU is now totally WOKE and has expereinced a massive departure BY ITS long time base of private supporters, churches and missionaries. Tim Keller and RTS Orlando involved CRU is a sweeping justice driven “Community Development” /Faith Based Project in 2009 called “Seeking the Welfare of the City”. This effort launched the Polis Institute -which is a project of the Frankfurt School inspired Institutes for Advanced Studies in Cultuire at UVA is ALSO funded by Kern Family Foundation. Polis and Seeking the Welfare fo the City serve as a template for the Agenda 2030 / Sustainable Development Goals “City Reaching” models for church and parachurch missions organizations like CRU and the SBCs NAMB and IMB and promoted by justice driven false gospel epicenter Lausanne Movement.
GILSON’S BIO- BOOK, ROLE IN REVOICE LGBTQ THRIVING AND RECENT CONTROVERSIES ON GAY MARRIAGE:
“Revoice20 Talks: Rachel Gilson & Greg Coles – Sexuality and Terminology”

Gilson remains active in the divisive and controversial “Queer Theory” driven Revoice LGBTQ Thriving ” movement .
“Rachel Gilson serves on the leadership team for Theological Development and Culture at Cru and is the author of “Born Again This Way: Coming Out, Coming to Faith, and What Comes Next.” On May 18, a clip circulated on Twitter of her speaking to an audience, addressing the question of whether a person should leave a same-sex marriage if he or she becomes a Christian. “These are some very tender things,” Gilson emphasized. She encouraged the audience to be cautious in how they approach a couple in this situation, and she noted that discipleship is a “process.”
GILSON’S THINKING INFORMED BY APA/TGC/ REVOICE THOUGHT LEADER MARK YARHOUSE.
“I read Mark Yarhouse’s Understanding Gender Dysphoria and Vaughan Roberts’s Transgender. These books were good introductions and formed much of the background I brought with me when I picked up Andrew Walker’s new entry into the field, God and the Transgender Debate.…”
Gilson also works closely with Revoice influencer and speaker Preston Sprinkle who holds two degrees from John MacArthur’s Masters Seminary and heads the Center for Faith Sexuality and Gender ” and “Theology in the Raw”.

CONCLUSION
The Southern Baptist Convention is in trouble…BIG TROUBLE . It’s poor handling of the # MeToo/ # ChurchToo movement and sexual abuse accusations caused its entity heads, trustees and Executive Committee to form multiple “TASK FORCE ” and to hire a massive DE&I compliance organization Guidepost Solutions and its new start up “Faith Based Solutions” to investigate- form a “credibly accused data base ” AND to begin the work of DE&I compliance and “Culture Change” with in the SBC. This is already taking place in the top entites and will soon be trickling down into all of the 47,000 plus SBC churches.
The DE&I CRUSH and Compliance is on its way. MARK THIS STREET PREACHERS WORDS!

JEREMIAH 2 : 4 Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob and all the families of the house of Israel. 5 Thus says the Lord:
“What injustice have your fathers found in Me,
That they have gone far from Me,
Have followed idols,
And have become idolaters?
6 Neither did they say, ‘Where is the Lord,
Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt,
Who led us through the wilderness,
Through a land of deserts and pits,
Through a land of drought and the shadow of death,
Through a land that no one crossed
And where no one dwelt?’
7 I brought you into a bountiful country,
To eat its fruit and its goodness.
But when you entered, you defiled My land
And made My heritage an abomination.
8 The priests did not say, ‘Where is the Lord?’
And those who handle the law did not know Me;
The rulers also transgressed against Me;
The prophets prophesied by Baal,
And walked after things that do not profit.
