TIME PUFF PIECE FOR BAPTIST RUSSELL MOORE WRITTEN BY AUTHOR OF SIMILAR ARTICLE ON PLANNED PARENTHOOD DEPARTING EXECUTIVE

RUSSELL MOORE REMAINS AN OUTSPOKEN CRITIC OF CONSERVATIVE BAPTIST WHO VOTED FOR DOANLD TRUMP. IN THE WAKE OF THE BIDEN INAUGURATION A TIME MAGAZINE EDITOR WHO HAD HIGH PRAISE FOR PP’s CECILE RICHARDS IS LAUDING THE LONELY BATTLE OF “GOD’S LOBBYIST “

Russell Moore is no stranger to politics or controversy or attacks on Donald Trump of his supporters among the Christian base. Moore is also no stranger to high praise and accolades of the liberal press but an article by Time editor Belinda Luscombe does take it over the top for Moore going into the new administration. Luscombe’s similar praise for Planned Parenthood’s long time head Cecile Richards makes any thinking person question why.

“Theologian Russell Moore Has a Message for Christians Who Still Worship Donald Trump

“Many Christian leaders and thinkers decried the attack on the Capitol, but few went as far as Moore; he laid the blame squarely at the feet of a man many evangelicals believe to be their hero: President Trump. “This week we watched an insurrection of domestic terrorists,” Moore wrote, “incited and fomented by the President of the United States.” When asked about that statement during an interview from his book-lined Brentwood, Tenn., home office a week later, he doubles down….”

“It’s–it’s been lonely,” says Moore of his stance. “But I think many people have experienced that sort of loneliness over the past four or five years. I don’t know a single family that’s not been divided over President Trump, and politics generally. I don’t know a single church that hasn’t been.” Moore’s opinions are not new. He has been a Never Trumper since at least 2015 and scoffs at the notion put forward by many evangelical leaders that Trump converted to Christianity just before being elected. “It is not a position that I find rational,” he says. “Especially when Mr. Trump has been very clear about his own spiritual journey, or lack thereof.”

“The usually mild-mannered author’s stance has come at a cost. He says both he and his family have been the subject of threats and that people have tried to dig up information that would prove he is a liberal. (Heaven forfend!) In February 2020, the executive committee of the SBC formed a task force to look into whether the ERLC was fulfilling its “ministry assignment” after 100 or so churches withheld their giving, citing Moore’s political positions.”

“Moore’s loneliness is of a particular sort, however, since unlike most of Trump’s most vocal critics, he is a dyed-in-the-wool social conservative, staunchly opposed to same-sex marriage, abortion and premarital sex, and he has worked to limit the spread of the first two. (He acknowledges he’s walking into a cold breeze on the third.) In a way, he is a weather vane for the cold front much of the evangelical church is now facing. What is the future for a group that preaches truth, peace and moral living, after it gambles all its chips on a man who embodies none of those but will play along–and loses?”

MOORE AND HIS PRO LIFE STAND

Moore is obligated to show a strong pro life stand as the head of Baptist ERLC but has drawn sharp criticism of his efforts to broaden the meaning of prolife to include other leftward agendas like “Refugee” resettlement and ” Immigration Reform” while working with the Soros funded National Immigration Forums Evangelical Round Table pushing that political agenda. NOTE :SBC entities are poised to cash in on Refugee $$$ very soon under the new admins policies.

Moore also has sought to “Redefine the Family” calling in his 2018 book and conference themed around it to “refine the Church as ones family” and even hosted a gay priest to echo the language of radical feminist theologians that the “Nuclear Family is an Idol” and must be redefined .

BUT WHY IS A TIME EDITOR SEEING VIRTUE IN BAPTIST ETHICST RUSSELL MOORE WHILE HER OBVIOUS LOYALTIES POLITICALLY SUPPORT PLANNED PARENTHOOD’S LONG TIME PRESIDENT LAUDING HER DESIRE TO STILL MAKE TROUBLE?

https://time.com/5220083/outgoing-planned-parenthood-president-cecile-richards-still-wants-to-make-troubl

“Outgoing Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards Is Not Done Fighting

FROM THE MARCH 2018 ARTICLE

“For one of the most vilified women in America, Cecile Richards is very warm. She’s self-deprecating, lively and attentive to guests. She apologizes for the terrible coffee an assistant brings from the office machine but drinks it anyway. Her mascara is a little smudged over her right eye. She looks down when thinking; it’s not effortless for her. She’s human.”

“But until May, when she decamps her post, Richards is also the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, an organization that provokes only strong feelings in people. Reliable surveys show that most citizens do not believe Roe v. Wade should be overturned. Other equally reliable surveys show that most Americans answer no when asked if a woman should be able to get an abortion “for any reason.” And almost 20% of voters told Gallup in 2015 they could only vote for a candidate who shared their views on abortion. So Richards has been hailed both as “an extraordinary leader in vertiginous times” (by the editor of the Nation) and “the most vile person currently walking this planet” (by a writer for RedState).”

IN A RESPONSE TO A QUESTION ABOUT IMMIGRATION AND DREAMERS NOTED IN THE ARTICLE- IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO CREDIT MUCH OF THE RESPONSE BY RICHARDS TO MOORE.

“Last year, after the latest attempt to defund her organization had been turned back, Richards was at a celebration in Nashville. She had just finished thanking the crowd for all its work when an audience member raised his hand and asked what now could be done for the Dreamers, the undocumented children who grew up in the U.S. but are not citizens. “I had assumed that they were going to go, ‘This is great because I’ve got to take a break,’” she says. Instead, people were coming together not over a single issue but because of a set of shared values. They were massing to protect a certain bigger vision of America. “It’s different than any time I can remember in my lifetime,” says Richards. That’s the kind of barometric indicator that no organizer can resist.”

CONCLUSION

We get it that Russell Moore is excited that Donald Trump is out and that his parties candidate is now in the White House once again. Baptist who observe him expected as much. BUT why is a Time Magazine editor who wrote such a “lovely ” piece about Planned Parenthood’s long time leader – finding so much VIRTUE IN THE “Pro Life ” Baptist Russell Moore? it’s going to be some strange days ahead for Believers.

RUSSELL MOORE’S ERLC FINALLY OWNS REVOICE-PROMOTING IT’S FOUNDER’S BOOK IN “PARENTS GUIDE TO GENDER”.

NO ISSUE HAS ROCKED THE SBC AND OTHER DENOMINATIONS AS DEEPLY AS THE REVELATIONS OF CRITICAL THEORY BEING TAUGHT ON SEMINARY CAMPUSES. THE FALSE GOSPEL INFILTRATION MANIFEST ITSELF IN MANY WAYS YET NONE SO DAMNING AS THE GENDER AND QUEER THEORY BEHIND REVOICE FROM SBTS IN LOUSIVILLE KY.

As 2020 drew to a close Russell Moore’s ERLC finally, after years have denial, shuffling, and lying to Baptist messengers in Dallas TX -to the media and about this writer- TOOK OWNERSHIP OF REVOICE founder Nate Collins. Full ownership came when ERLC released its new “Parents Guide to Teaching Your Kids About Gender”. The document repeatedly quotes Nate Collins the Revoice founders book ” All but Invisible: Exploring Identity Questions at the Intersection of Faith, Gender, and Sexuality.”

The first quote is the 4th footnoted source VERY early in the document and is one of 5 Collins Quotes . In fact Nate Collins is one of the MOST QUOTED SOURCES of the GENDER guide for parents in spite of the Revoice controversy and his belief and SBTS writings that “virgin” is proof of a secondary or third gender in the New Testament. Recall Revoice founder Collins was teaching New Testament at Albert Mohler’s SBTS at the time he wrote the book quoted in the ERLC guide. At least now- at long last we can see full ownership of the SBTS/ERLC role in producing Revoice.

Starting on page 47 of the footnotes:

Debate, 33–35.

38 Collins, All but Invisible, 9.

ERLC’s Andrew Walker, SEBTS/ Liberty Universities Karen Swallow Prior and Russell Moore himself are also used as sources for the “Parents Guide to Teaching Your Children About Gender”.

Why is this so revealing? Collins was disowned by his fellow SBTS mentors after Revoice LGBT+ Thriving in Historic Christian Tradition made it’s bow in April/ late May 2018 .Revoice blew up into a major controversy for the SBC and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. The problem was the movement and upcoming July 2018 Revoice conference featured a celebration of “Queer Theory and The Treasures of Queer Culture and Queer Literature.” Revoice even discussed in one breakout session the “Treasures of Queer Culture that will be brought into the New Jerusalem”.

Collins also promotes the “Idolatry of the Nuclear Family ” from Janet Fishburn of hard left and feminist theory theology from Drew Divinity School. Russell Moore and his ERLC LGBTQ advocate Sam Allberry have also promoted the feminist theologians ideology that the “nuclear family is a idol and must be “REDEFINED ” by the liberal church.

COLLINS TRUE COLORS AND TRAINING GROUNDS

Nate Collins Revoice founder was discovered to be a New Testament teacher at SBTS, Moore’s alma matter and a long time employer . Collins was also a student at SBTS for almost 15 years and wrote the book ERLC is NOW PROMOTING AS A GUIDE TO PARENTS FOR SPEAKING TO THEIR CHILDREN. ERLC/Russell Moore is promoting the book of Nate Collins whose own SBTS CV reveals his Doctoral Dissertation for SBTS promotes “Virgin as a Third Gender in the New Testament “.

ERLC AND RUSSELL MOORE DENIALS ARE NOW PROVEN TOTAL LIES

This writer asked Russell Moore personally in an interview during the 2018 Dallas SBC annual meetings about Revoice concerns and that fact Revoice had it’s origins at SBTS and that Moore’s ERLC fellow Karen Swallow Prior, who is quoted in the Parents Guide as well, had promoted Revoice on it’s website. Moore then lied to the entire SBC 2018 Annual gathering when asked from the floor about Revoice .After this interview Moore still denied any knowledge of Revoice, jumping quickly to divert and ask for prayer for his friend Prior who had recently been “hit by a bus” in Nashville.

This Writer was no longer in the building at this point at the SBC Dallas meetings because the Moore ERLC staffer who was witness to and attempted to prevent the previous days interview about Revoice concerns had (allegedly ) lied to the Dallas Police providing security for the event and had this writer removed from the Convention building hours before Moore took the Stage for the ERLC report the events closing day.

The Stain of Revoice

There are over 40 articles on Revoice on the Thirty Pieces of Silver page and doubtless this story is not over.

CONCLUSION

When Albert Mohler- Russell Moore and Nate Collins mentor finally mentioned Nates Collins in his August 2nd 2018 article “condemning” Revoice – Mohler mentions Nate Collins 9 times but never admits that Collins is a long time SBTS student. for almost 15 years, or that Collins Father Chip was a teacher at SBTS undergrad Boyce College. Mohler has never admitted that Collins wrote his Dissertation for SBTS alleging that the New Testament use of the word Virgin is proof of the existence of a secondary or “Third Gender” . Nor has Mohler ever admitted that Collins wrote the book the ERLC “Parents Guide” is now using as a resource for it’s officla ERLC “resource” while teaching New Testament at SBTS Mohler’s flagship Baptist Seminary SBTS.

See the August 2 2018 article here and notice the deceptive shuffle.

https://albertmohler.com/2018/08/02/torn-two-cultures-revoice-lgbt-identity-biblical-christianity

Prior to this Aug 2nd Mohler article no Baptist writer working under Mohler, nor TGC writer Kevin DeYoung (also quoted in the ERLC guide) had ever mentioned Nate Collins Revoice founder by name even though all these writers knew him from SBTS, ETS presentations, and all are fellow TGC contributors. This is all ignored – and even including the reality that it was Nate Collins who wrote the 2013 review of ERLC/ TGC own inhouse LGBTQ advocate Sam Allberry’s book “Is God Anti Gay”.

Russell Moore has lied to Baptist for years denying Revoice . Now he and his ERLC own it and want to recommend its founders book to Parents for the all important discussions on Gender. Never mind that Collins is a self identified “Gay man in a mixed orientation marriage” and his SBTS work shows he believes and promotes that Virgin is a Third ( SECONDARY) Gender in the New Testament.
