“An organizer of the Paris Olympics said that the drag performance during Friday’s opening ceremony was a nod to Greek mythology, not the Last Supper. 

Thomas Jolly, the artistic director for the ceremony, told French news channel BFM TV on Sunday that the inspiration for that scene was the Greek god Dionysus, according to NBC’s “Today.” His comments come after the opening ceremony included a scene that some said looked like Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of the Last Supper.

“There is Dionysus who arrives on this table. He is there because he is the god of celebration in Greek mythology,” Jolly said, according to NBC. “The idea was to have a pagan celebration connected to the gods of Olympus. You will never find in me a desire to mock and denigrate anyone.”

The opening ceremonies on Friday included a group of performers, some of them in drag, in a scene that some said resembled da Vinci’s painting of the Last Supper. Thomas Jolly, the artistic director of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony has defended the production as a symbol of ‘inclusion’. Jolly’s vision included a parody of the ‘Last Supper’ with drag queens, transgenders and naked dancers involved which invited worldwide criticism. 

Addressing the reporters on Sunday (Jul 28), Jolly said ‘diversity’ was the key point of the opening ceremony and this is what his production intended to achieve. 

“Our subject was not to be subversive. We never wanted to be subversive. We wanted to talk about diversity. Diversity means being together,” Jolly said.

“Jolly, a French native from Normandy, who works as a theatre artist added that France was a free country and that it was artistic freedom on display during the ceremony. 

“We wanted to include everyone, as simple as that. In France, we have freedom of creation, artistic freedom. We are lucky in France to live in a free country. I didn’t have any specific messages that I wanted to deliver,” said Jolly. 

“In France, we are a republic, we have the right to love whom we want, we have the right not to be worshippers, we have a lot of rights in France, and this is what I wanted to convey,” he added. “

“While Jolly defended the ceremony, Paris 2024 organisers apologised to Catholics and other Christian groups angered after various artists posed like Jesus and his Twelve Apostles from Leonardo da Vinci’s painting. 

“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. (The opening ceremony) tried to celebrate community tolerance,” Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps told a press conference.

“We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offence we are really sorry.”

Brent Leatherwood as President of the Ethics and religious Liberties Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention carries on the legacy of his controversial and now former boss Russell Moore who is now editor of the progressive publication Christianity Today .

Leatherwood would no doubt have a 6 figure salary, a five million dollar plus budget, offices in Nashville TN and DC, a full staff and access to the seats of power in DC including the Capital and the Whitehouse..and is the voice representing Southern Baptist political views.

According the TN political organizers Leatherwood came out of controversey in his job at the Tennessee GOP during the Hillary Clinton campaign as he is said to have helped in a team effort at the GOP to subvert conservative candidates and undermine Trump pledged GOP delegates. He was then hired by Russell Moore and advanced to Chief of Staff at ERLC under Moore. After Moore was fired in 2021 Leatherwood became interim President and then affirmed by 100% vote of the ERLC Trustees giving him the job as President of the ERLC full time.

Leatherwood’s controversies have been many at ERLC including his role in having this writer expelled by Dallas PD with the false accusation that (I) threatened someone. He later drew fire as ERLC President pushing for gun control laws and seeking to hide the manifesto of the Trans- shooter in the TN Christian School shooting via a non profit Leatehrwood had formed which chlaimed ownership of the Shooters Manifesto which was evidence of the state ina mass murder. Not sure how that idea ever floated.The Manifesto was later leaked

His most recent controversy resulting in his announced firing was his calling of the departure of President Biden from the 2024 campaign a “Selfless Act”.This intellectually dishonest statement in a tweet was followed by an article with much of the same rhetoric and signalling a departurefrom his base by the Trump stance on abortion AND his own loking to the Democratic party to signal to pro life supporters that it ( the party who funded Planned Parenthood billions of dollars since the Obama administration began) will take the opportunity to reach out and signla support of pro life voters convictions. But the sudden removal came less than 24 hours after Leatherwood published a column calling President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race the “correct” decision. Leatherwood also made a separate statement to The Baptist Press calling Biden’s decision “selfless.”

“We should all express our appreciation that President Biden has put the needs of the nation above his personal ambition,” Leatherwood said. “Despite what some partisans will say, to walk away from power is a selfless act – the kind that has become all too rare in our culture.”

Though Leatherwood praised Biden’s decision in the column, he was also critical of Vice President Kamala Harris’ record and potential presidential run, writing she would be “cause for considerable concern among pro-life advocates and those who hold to a biblical definition of marriage.”

Leatherwood was on his phone with his earpiece in and talking. Once he saw us exiting the door he ended his conversation, hung up the telephone and joined the escorting officer to my right.

*Leatherwood began taking very provocative actions including again, glaring across the chest of the taller officer to my right and mockingly looking me in the eyes. He leaned his head forward toward me almost in the path of the officer. He took long exaggerated lurching steps in slower motion as if enacting some strutted victory lap around what had been set in motion with my removal less than two hours before the ERLC meeting/ report was to begin in the main hall.

*I asked the officer between Leatherwood and myself if Leatherwood was the person who claimed I had threatened someone and if he claimed I threatened him. The officer replied, “We are not going there.” I asked if Leatherwood claimed I threatened HIM because, in fact, Leatherwood “had laid his hands on me to restrain me and prevent me from talking to his boss. (This would be considered a Class C Assault  by Texas Law https://codes.findlaw.com/tx/penal-code/penal-sect-22-01.html)  Russell Moore’s employee Leatherwood attempted to prevent the conversation but Moore did indeed talk about the Revoice Conference “promoting LGBT+  Flourishing in historic Christian tradition”. WE DID discuss that his ERLC Fellow was a contributor endorsing Revoice and a favorite ERLC consultant was speaking at Revoice. We had a conversation about it. I mentioned this to the officer and that it was in spite of Leatherwood[‘]s effort to physically prevent it. “Is that what this is about?” I asked. Nothing was confirmed or denied at this point.”

CONCLUSION

The SBC ethics arm has zero respect from biblical conservatives in the SBC. Leatherwood has a ongoing reputation for political subversion. He is widly unpopular with pastors and the churches who pay his salary and now his in again- out- and back in position in a 12 hour period at the ERLC is both heart sicken and INSULTING . Why would any Baptist- how can any Christian support this kind of leader as an Ethicist and spokesman?

1. Numerous studies assert that transgender and gender nonconforming students suffer from increased psychological, emotional, and physical harassment and abuse, and that transgender youth experience an abnormally high number of suicidal thoughts and make an abnormally high number of suicide attempts.
2. Faced with these concerns, various California school districts have adopted policies under which the school respects the wishes of students who ask to be treated as a gender different from their natal sex, while also making parents aware that the school is participating in the social transition of their child.

These policies ensure that school districts do not betray the extraordinary trust placed in them by parents, who otherwise would be misled about a monumental change to the development of their child and to that child’s official and unofficial school records.

3. These parental notification policies often address not only gender transition but also myriad other issues that parents would want or need to know about their child’s education and development.
4. For example, if a student is injured, bullied, or exhibits suicidal behavior at school, but does not want their parents to know, a school will notify the parents. If a student breaks their arm, hits their head, or develops a fever, the school will immediately tell the student’s parents. If a student is bullied or involved in a verbal or physical fight, the school will tell the parents. If a student expresses a desire to hurt
   or kill themself, the school will tell the parents. So, too, must a school tell parents if a student has asked the school to participate in that student’s gender transition.
5. But through Assembly Bill 1955 (“AB 1955”) California now seeks to bar schools from
   adopting policies that would require notifying parents when their children may be at increased risk of psychological, emotional, and physical harassment and abuse, and extremely high rates of suicide and suicide attempts. Specifically, AB 1955 states that a “school district . . . shall not enact or enforce any
   policy, rule, or administrative regulation that would require an employee or a contractor to disclose any information related to a pupil’s . . . gender identity[] or gender expression to any other person without the pupil’s consent . . .” (emphasis added). This means that, no matter how young a child is, a school cannot
   tell the child’s parents the school is socially transitioning their child without the minor’s “consent.”
6. This action is brought on behalf of Chino Valley Unified School District and certain
   California parents of children in the public school system who seek to bar California from implementing.
   AB 1955 in violation of their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”)

23. On July 15, 2024, Defendant Governor Newsom signed AB 1955 into law. Absent judicial
    intervention, AB 1955 will take effect January 1, 2025.
24. AB 1955 makes several changes to the California Education Code regarding the treatment of children who request to “socially transition” their gender at school, which refers primarily to adopting a new name and/or pronouns that differ from one’s natal sex.
25. AB 1955 provides in relevant part that “[a]n employee or a contractor of a school district . . . shall not be required to disclose any information related to a pupil’s . . . gender identity[] or gender expression to any other person without the pupil’s consent.” Cal. Ed. Code § 220.3.
26. AB 1955 also prohibits all California school districts from “enact[ing] or enforc[ing] any
    policy, rule, or administrative regulation that would require an employee or a contractor to disclose any information related to a pupil’s . . . gender identity[] or gender expression to any other person without the pupil’s consent, unless otherwise required by state or federal law.” Cal. Ed. Code § 220.5(a).
27. AB 1955 further provides that “[a]ny policy, regulation, guidance, directive, or other action of a school district . . . that is inconsistent with” the previous section “is invalid and shall not have any force or effect.” Id. § 220.5(c).
28. Taken together, these provisions upend the traditional relationship between students, their parents, and their teachers.
29. Notably, AB 1955 includes within its scope all students in California school districts—
    including students in preschool, kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school. Thismeans that if a four-year-old student requested to change their gender at school, their parents might not be
30. notified without that four-year-old’s consent.
31. Notifying parents of significant events that impact their children at school—such as when they are injured, bullied, or express a desire to self-harm—is, of course, the norm. But AB 1955 carves out special exceptions for school policies that have the effect of notifying parents if their child asks their school to facilitate the child’s social transition due to changes in their gender identity.

“How will this all be funded? This is a big one. If you can start a
school in a building that already exists as part of your church facility, then you are already one step ahead in making your school accessible
and affordable to Christian families. Your church may need to raise
or invest some of the upfront costs for modifying facilities, marketing
your new school, or hiring personnel. (You have to hire people before
anyone pays tuition.) But once the school gets up and running, it
should be able to pay for itself. In some cases, the school will actually
meet its own budget and also be able to contribute to the budget of
the church.”

• Accreditation limited to only certain accreditation agencies
• Only government/bureaucracy approved programs are allowed
• Standardized testing requirements
• Mandatory curricula or courses dealing with diversity, inclusivity, equity, SEL,
  LGBTQ+ issues, Common Core, etc
• Federal requirement for same sex locker rooms and restrooms, non-restrictive
  hiring, etc
• Teachers have to be credentialed in the cultural Marxist methodology
• School has to be unionized
• Regulated and intrusive visits by government agents to assure the
  homeschooling meets the State’s mandated standards
• The United Nation’s Agenda 2030 goals have to be adopted

“Governments should use tax subsidies for private schools to bring them under
government control and impose regulations mandating “equity” and other goals,
according to a report commissioned by the controversial United Nations’ “education”
agency known as UNESCO.”
“The document adds urgency to longtime concerns expressed by opponents of
“vouchers” and other so-called “school choice” schemes. Critics have long warned that
“free” government money will come with strings attached at some point — and will
eventually eliminate genuine school choice.”

“The little-noticed report, released late last year and commissioned by UNESCO’s
“Global Education Monitoring Report,” argues that there is a “need to establish
appropriate governance and regulatory frameworks” over private schools funded by
government. This is supposedly to ensure that UN-backed goals such as “equity” are
achieved.”
“The alleged “need” to regulate private education providers is taken for granted.
“Regulatory reforms must clearly define what public interest in education is and fix the
rules under which private providers may participate,” states the report, dubbed “Regulating Public-Private Partnerships, governing non-state schools: An equity
perspective.” 9
Even more alarming, the report starts with the outrageous premise that the government
— not the parents — is primarily responsible for the education of children. Citing the
UN’s so-called “Sustainable Development Goals,” described by UN bosses as the
“master plan for humanity,” the report claims that “the State remains the duty bearer of
education as a public good.”

STILL UNINTERESTED IN WARNINGS OF UNESCO OPEN AGENDAS FOR VOUCHERS AND SCHOOL CHOICE- NAMB PROPHETS SCROGGINS AND WAX -WAX ELOQUENT ADVOCATING FOR THE SLIPPERY SLOPE FOR CHRISTIAN PARENTS AND CHURCH SCHOOLS.

“African-American churches, even from the margins, when
oppressed by the majority culture, turned to education as a means
of strengthening their communities. After the Civil War, millions of
emancipated slaves searched for new opportunities, and education
became critical to helping Black Americans forge a new path forward.
In response to the Jim Crow regime in the south, Black churches and
denominations founded educational institutions and left the legacy of
Historically Black Colleges and Universities. From humble beginnings
born out of conviction, these schools were responsible for producing
an emerging Black middle class, whose doctors, lawyers, pastors, and
teachers became culture-shaping examples of dignity.14″

Eagle’s Landing Christian
Academy (ELCA)
HISTORY
ELCA was established in 1970 but endured financial struggles. A
different, established school tried to incorporate it as a new branch
of its own, but the struggles remained. In 1994, ELFBC decided to
absorb the school and make it a ministry of the church. The school
grew within a few years from 170 students to 593 as the community
grew around it. The school uses the same property as the church and
now has an enrollment of 1,000 students.
MODEL
ELCA is an evangelistic school. The school’s philosophy is to make
sure the ratio is predominately students from Christian families
to not be outnumbered but still be evangelistically focused. Some
students have come to know Christ through the school then led
their families to come to church.
KEY FACTOR FOR THE CHURCH
The church must see the school as a ministry opportunity and
recognize growing pains will occur when managing the relationship
between the church and school.

Minorities make up 58 percent of the ELCA student body, which
has led to increased diversity at ELFBC.

NAMB is eyeball deep and drowning in FEMA funds and “Refugee Resettlement” funding for processing “migrants” from the Obama and Biden adminstrations and UN agenda massive global “Human Migration Policies”‘ NAMB has essentially built a Muslim Welcome Center in Clarkston GA among its network of Send Centers around the country. And even now as a hurricane rips through the Carribean this Summer the NAMB FEMA Center in Puerto is no doubt abuzz with the govenment funded relief efforts with NAMB Send Relief as it’s primary partner.

DHS /FEMA administered church security training grants which teach your welcome team to use “the Power of Hello” threat assessments of “strangers” who come into their churches so they can report those they deem threatening to law enforcement.

SO IS IT ANY DIFFERENT FOR NAMB/SBC LEADERS TO PARTNER WITH ACSI TO PUSH VOUCHER FUNDED/ SHOOL CHOICE “CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION” AS A MINISTRY VISION?

This researcher thinks so and so should you.

PLEASE ignore these foolish and blind people and stay away from their schools and the funding they are pointing you toward ACCEPTING TO EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN.

Voucher funded Christian schools and Education ARE anything BUT CHRISTIAN.
