“RECONSTRUCTING EVANGELICALISM “: DISGRACED BAPTIST ETHICIST RUSSELL MOORE TO CONFERENCE WITH FEMINIST JUSTICE WARRIORETTES .

SINCE BEING BOOTED FROM THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST ERLC RUSSELL MOORE HAS BEEN BINGE DRINKING FAR LEFT KOOL AID WITH DAVID AXELROD ,TIM KELLER AND (ALSO ) DISGRACED NIH FORMER DIRECTOR FRANCIS COLLINS. NOW HE JOINS THE LIKE MINDED FEMINIST HIS “LEAKED EMAILS” EMPOWERED TO SERVE UP HIS OWN DENOMINATION TO THE FEEDING FREZY OF METOO.

Rev Thomas Littleton

Russell Moore is a political animal of the left who was, thanks to his mentor Albert Mohler, allowed to occupy several influential positions in the Southern Baptist Convention as a Change Agent for over 30 years. Now the Baptist “deconstructionist ” wants to help “Reconstruct Evangelicalism” with his feminist and left leaning social justice friends as part of the “Center for Pastor Theologians”.

VISION & MISSION

SEEKING THEOLOGICAL RENEWAL.
FOR THE VITALITY OF THE CHURCH.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE WORLD.

MISSION

“The Center for Pastor Theologians exists to equip pastors to be theologians for today’s complex world.”

VISION

“Our vision is a renaissance and revitalization of the church in the 21st century. The Church in North America is facing unique challenges and complex cultural pressures. Are we ready and equipped to face these challenges with faithfulness, grace, and love?”

“The church needs a renewed vision for her life and ministry in the world. She must be rooted in the historic gospel of grace, empowered by the Spirit of God, filled with love and humility.”

https://www.cptconference.com/

“The term deconstruction has become something of a buzz word among many Christians and former-Christians. The deconstruction ongoing in the church and culture has included evangelical theology, approaches to politics, public witness, human sexuality, gender, biblical interpretation, and racial injustice. Some of this deconstruction may be necessary, even if difficult and painful. People who truly hunger and thirst for righteousness must be willing to face hard realities, even in our own tradition.”

“This raises the question: is there a future for evangelical faith in America? What will it look like? What should it look like?”

“As people of the resurrection, we must also engage in the redemptive work of re-constructing, healing, and rehabilitating the church. This is why we have chosen Reconstructing Evangelicalism as the theme for the 2022 annual theology conference of Center for Pastor Theologians. This event will be a gathering of men and women––pastors, theologians, scholars, and ministry leaders––from across the diverse spectrum of evangelical confession. Together, we will seek to discern and commend theological distinctives and strengths of the evangelical movement. These theological strengths must be disentangled from the sinful racial, sexual, social, and political structures that have been exposed in recent years. In doing so, we will ask how––and even if––evangelicalism can be reconstructed.”

“This is a hard but necessary work.”

HOSTING THE EVENT IS CALVARY MEMORIAL CHURCH

PASTOR IS Rev. Dr. Gerald Hiestand

THE CHURCH HAS A MAJOR FOCUS ON RACIAL JUSTICE

(FOCUS INCLUDES RACE RADICAL JEMAR TISBY’S BOOKS)

From the host church website:

“The history of race in the United States has been both tragic and complex. But how has the church in America addressed, conceived of, and organized itself in light of the cultural conception of race? How can learning about our past help us change our present and our future?”

Russell Moore has been attempting to deconstruct conservative evangelicalism for decades. It was he who said conservative American Christians had fought a “culture war” and “lost “- “hurt the Gospel” – and needed to make nice – “BE WINSOME” – and “love our gay and lesbian neighbors” ( as if to presume that resistance to Planned Parenthood radical sexual agenda for children called CSI was hatred) . It was his ERLC who ran forward to the front of the “story” when the Houston Chronicle broke the headline about the SBC having a long history of covering up sex abuse even though the mosaic of abusers in the Houston Chronicle cover story photos were actually of mug shots from those abusers who were caught and arrested.

Moore’s “winsomeness” in spewing hatred and accusations against then candidate Donald J.Trump and his supporters among evangelicals landed him in a Trump tweet where he was referred to as “a nasty guy with no heart”.

THE RECENT “LEAKED EMAILS” OF RUSSELL MOORE CONFIRM THAT TRUMP’S TWEET WAS NOT OFF THE MARK AT ALL.

Moore allowed someone to publish his emails filled with nasty accusations against the Baptist Executive Committee and make their way to the press. The “Abuse scandal ” was back on, a NEW INVESTIGATION and TASK Force launched, and is still boiling in the press to today.

A quote from the emails:

“You and I both heard, in closed door meetings, sexual abuse survivors spoken of in terms of ‘Potiphar’s wife’ and other spurious biblical analogies,” Moore wrote to Greear. “The conversations in these closed door meetings were far worse than anything Southern Baptists knew — or the outside world could report.”

MOORE AND HIS CHRISTIANITY BOSSES READY TO “RETHINK BIBLICAL WOMANHOOD “

Just in time to prove there is a larger movement afoot with Moore and his companions in intersectional activism -comes a conference by Christianity Today promising another big “Reconstruction ” project- this one on “Biblical Womanhood ” after the ChurchToo movement and friends like Moore have helped deconstruct Biblical family and manhood.

A candid conversation on the obstacles and opportunities facing women leaders in the church.

“From patriarchal interpretations of Scripture to contemporary incidents of #ChurchToo abuse, Christian women often are treated as second-class citizens in the church. Yet throughout history it has been their tireless contributions that have kept Christianity vital and active in society. The whole church suffers when women’s voices are silenced. And both men and women miss out when women are unable to fully develop and exercise their gifts in the church.  ”

“Join scholars and ministry leaders Kat Armas, Beth Allison Barr, Amanda Benckhuysen, Nicole Martin, and Joyce Koo Dalrymple for a lively discussion on women’s roles in the church from the perspectives of history, theology, and practical ministry.”

CONCLUSION

THE “WINSOME DEVIL “

Moore’s winsomeness has its limits when it comes to SBC Executives who fired him or to the Oval Office where he has winsomely spent a lot of time with his pals like Tim Keller during the Obama years. He was not invited to the Trump administration White House but he did get some attitude adjustment by his Baptist bosses which didn’t last long .

By the time he was out at the Baptist ERLC Moore joined Obama former Chief Advisor David Axelrod in the Institute for Politics at the University of Chicago . His first guest while serving as a Fellow /teacher was old TGC friend Tim Keller, both of whom make no bones about their hatred of Christian support for those who are politically conservative. Why – because BOTH have a long history as Democrats and close ties to many others from the Obama Chicago political machine like Michael Wear.

So now Russell Moore surfaces with some feminist , some justice warriorettes, some activist in the CRT /racial realm , NAE pal Walter Kim (too many compromises to list) and the “Center for Pastor Theologians ” to “RECONSTRUCT EVANGELICALISM”. What a surprise right?

So Guys it’s is really not about the Gospel at all…is it? It is just politics. Please just quit saying it is when we all know it is NOT “a Gospel issue.

CRT -NOT THE ONLY POISON ON CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES AS YARHOUSE/APA INVADE.

THE BRAINTRUST BEHIND THE AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATIONS INTERFAITH INVASION OF CHRISTIANITY RELATED TO LGBTQ+ / SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY HAS FLOODED CHRISTIAN CAMPUSES VIA TWO RESEARCH PROJECTS.

Rev.Thomas Littleton

3/4/2022

By the time it became clear that Mark Yarhouse interfaith work with the American Psychological Association and it’s “Division 36- Psychology of Religion and Spirituality: had saturated some of the most conservative Christian universities and seminaries in North America – the fruit of it like Revoice Conference and Rethink Apologetics revealed the decay of Biblically grounded institutions had already BEGUN and BIBLICAL TRUTH been eroded beyond recovery.

MARK YARHOUSE, THE CCCU AND THE GOSPEL COALITION

The major shift away from Biblical grounding on human sexuality and God given , created “birth gender ” reality began years ago in mainline movements but manifest in earnest in 2010 among conservative ,especially Reformed theological institutions. It was this same year that Mark Yarhouse drafted a WHITEPAPER for D. A.Carson and The Gospel Coalition for its “Christ on Campus ” initiative. With this move came the full APA synchronization with the influential TGC organization on the Campus of TEDS seminary along with the Institute For Transformational Churches/ the Oikonomia Network /Kern Family Foundation funding /Acton Institute curriculum all promoting the new social justice gospel and victim coalition with accompanying critical theories -the total transformation of Christian institutions of higher learning was under way.

The Council of Christian Colleges and Universities soon signed on to the culture change efforts and brought Mark Yarhouse on as a Senior Fellow.

YARHOUSE BIO

“The foundational research that shapes SGI today began in 1998 when Dr. Yarhouse began conducting research at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. That research lab formally became an institute (referred to as the Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity) in 2004. That institute was renamed when it transitioned to Wheaton College in 2019 (The Sexual & Gender Identity Institute or SGI).”

Mark A. Yarhouse, Psy.D.

Mark A. Yarhouse, Psy.D., is  the Dr. Arthur P. and Mrs. Jean May Rech Chair in Psychology at Wheaton College.  Dr. Yarhouse has spent several years promoting dialogue between people who view the topic of sexual identity differently. In 2000, he chaired a groundbreaking symposium at the American Psychological Association’s annual convention that brought together gay psychologists and Christian psychologists to discuss common ground in treatment options for those who experience sexual and religious identity conflicts. He chaired similar dialogues at the APA on the many meanings of marriage (among different religions and among various groups within the gay community), services for adolescents experiencing sexual identity concerns, and an approach to services referred to as the sexual identity therapy.”

( NOTE the CCCU and TGC History )

“Dr. Yarhouse is the past recipient of the Gary R. Collins Award for Excellence in Christian Counseling (American Association of Christian Counselors) and the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence at Regent University. He was a past participant with the Ethics and Public Policy Center think tank in Washington, DC, and he was named Senior Fellow with the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities to conduct a study of students navigating sexual identity concerns at Christian colleges and universities. He has been a consultant to the National Institute of Corrections to address issues facing sexual minorities in corrections, and he was part of a consensus panel from the American Psychological Association on sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts that convened to provide input to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in Washington, DC. Dr. Yarhouse is currently the Chair of the task force on LGBT issues for Division 36 (Psychology of Religion and Spirituality) of the American Psychological Association. He was also invited to write the featured white paper on sexual identity for the Christ on Campus Initiative edited by Don A. Carson for The Gospel Coalition.”

“Dr. Yarhouse has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and is author or co-author of several books, including Understanding Sexual Identity: A Resource for Youth Ministers and Understanding Gender Dysphoria: Navigating Transgender Issues in a Changing Culture. His most recent book is Costly Obedience: Listening to and Learning from Celibate Gay Christians.”

REVOICE CONTROVERSY AND YARHOUSE

Lest we forget Yarhouse promoted Revoice and worked along side multiple of its founders before briefly joining Revoice as a speaker and Board member in 2019.

Multiple overlapping collaborations and partnerships remain with Mark Yarhouse and other Revoice leaders like Preston Sprinkle to this day.

CHRISTIAN CAMPUS INVASION VIA “RESEARCH PROJECTS

Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity-

“Christian Sexual Identity Project and the Christian Gender Identity Project”

AGAIN NOTE: Yarhouse was “named Senior Fellow with the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities to conduct a study of students navigating sexual identity concerns at Christian colleges and universities.”

CCCU has promoted the radical Paul Singer (LGBTQ funder) “Fairness for All” which is a temporary legislative option to the sweeping Equality Act. The Equality Act will basically vilify any opposition to the most radical LGBTQ Comprehensive Sexuality Education of Planned Parenthood and SIECUS as well as ban any kind of ex gay counseling and even some preaching as “hate speech”. No Religious exemptions exist in the Equality Act but some temporary ones are allowed in the Fairness For All bill put forth by Mormon legislators. These religious exemptions are considered to be “license to discriminate” and will not be allowed to stand for long as they are a primary target for HRC and other LGBTQ lobby groups. Hence they are understood to only be temporary refuge and will be removed in further legislative actions.

CCCU looks to have taken the bait that it can secure these exemptions but BOTH Fairness for All and the Equality Act are funded by radical money of Paul Singer.

Singers organizations may in fact be funding the CCCU /Yarhouse “Studies”.

Listening to Transgender and Gender Diverse Students on Christian College Campuses

  • September 2021

“This study was an initial investigation of important areas of interest in the literature on transgender and gender diverse students: psychological health and well-being and campus climate for transgender and gender diverse students in young adulthood. What is unique is that data were obtained from Christian transgender and gender diverse students attending Christian college and universities. A sample of 31 undergraduate transgender students at nine Christian institutions in which staff were affiliated with the Association for Christians in Student Development completed an online survey. Participants reported high levels of religiosity, diversity in their attitudes about gender identity, negative perceptions of campus climate, lower levels of social support for gender identity than in general, moderate to high levels of psychological distress, and low to moderate levels of psychological well-being.”

Costly Obedience

with Mark Yarhouse

Sean McDowellScott Rae — October 15, 2020

(NOTE – THE TITLE OF YARHOUSE BOOK “COSTLY OBEDIENCE” IS ALSO PART OF THE ACTIVIST NARRATIVE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE PORTRAYING “CELIBATE GAY CHRISTIANS” AS SPECIAL CROSS BEARERS AND SUBJECTING THEMSELVES TO A “MORE COSLTY ” DISCIPLESHIP THAN HETEROSEXUALS.)

Sean McDowell at Biola University is part of the Apologetics Department on campus and works with Stand To Reason which launched Rethink Apologetics which included a Revoice like narrative LGBTQ based on unchanging “sexual orientation ” by 2015.This was after in 2012 and underground activist group on campus at Biola went public and began making press releases and filing lawsuits for full inclusion. These years of activism resulted in the University making efforts at appeasing the LGBTQ which included Sean MsDowell and other leaders in the Apologetics department meeting with activist Matthew Vines in a “private ” sit down that just happened to result in a NY Times feature complete with photos .

“Evangelicals Open Door to Debate on Gay Rights.”

BIOLA UNIVERSITIES RAPID DESCENT INTO AFFIRMING “GAY CHRISTIANITY”

Sean McDowell seemed prepared to stand against the activist narrative in 2015 but by 2016 was preaching the Yarhouse Rethink version of SOGI.

From the 2015 NYT article

June 8 2015

“LA MIRADA, Calif. — As a young, gay Christian activist, Matthew Vines considered it a victory just to get into a room at a conservative Christian university here with four influential evangelicals who disagreed with him over what the Bible says about homosexuality.”

“He ended up in a polite, heartfelt three-hour debate last month over Scripture passages about topics like celibacy, eunuchs, slavery — and the connections between sex and marriage.”

“Every single system you have within your body — whether it’s your respiratory system, your excretory system, your muscular system — can be completed as an individual,” said Sean McDowell, a professor here at Biola University and a well-known Christian author and speaker. “But there’s only one system in which male and female have half and become a united whole, and that’s in reproduction.”

BIOLA HAS NO OBJECTION TO YARHOUSE FULL NARRATIVE BY 2020

NOTE : THE INTERVIEW PROMOTES THE APA CONCEPT OF “GAY CHRISTIAN AND GENDER DIVERGENT CHRISTIAN AS IF THESE ARE BIBLICAL,NORMAL ,HEALTHY AND SCIENTIFICLY AUTHENTIC.

EVEN IN THE CONTEXT OF AFFIRMING VS NON AFFIRMING “CONVERSATION” AS SEAN MCDOWELL ATTEMPTS TO FRAME THE BIOLA YARHOUSE INTERVIEW- THE NEW NORMAL FROM APA FOR CHRISTIAN “ACCEPTANCE” COMES THROUGH.

NOT A SINGLE VERSE OF THE WORD OF GOD IS REFERENCED OR DISCUSSED AT ALL.

FROM THE “COSTLY OBEDIENCE” INTERVIEW

“Gay men and women who desire to be faithful to Scripture and thus choose a life of celibacy have chosen a difficult path and have much to teach the church. Psychologist Mark Yarhouse led a study of these men and women and some fascinating conclusions emerged from this study. Join Sean and Scott as they interview Dr. Yarhouse, on his new book, Costly Obedience: What We Can Learn from the Celibate Gay Christian Community.”

Episode Transcript

Scott Rae: Welcome to the podcast Think Biblically, conversations on faith and culture. I’m your host, Scott Rae, Dean of Faculty and Professor of Christian Ethics at Talbot School of Theology here at Biola University.

Sean McDowell: And I’m your cohost Sean McDowell, Professor of Apologetics at Talbot school of Theology, Biola University.

Scott Rae: We’re here with our special guest today, Dr. Mark Yarhouse, who holds an endowed chair in psychology at Wheaton College, served for several years in an endowed chair at Regent University. He also has the Center for Sexuality and Gender at Wheaton, speaks and writes widely in areas related to sexuality and gender identity and Mark and his colleague… And Mark, I’m going to let you pronounce the name of your colleague so I don’t butcher her name.

Mark Yarhouse: Yes, it’s Dr. Ola Zuporzits.

Scott Rae: Their new book is based on a study of the gay Christian community entitled Costly Obedience and advertised as the most comprehensive study to date of this particular community. Mark, we’re so glad you’ve written this book and engaged in this study, and I’m really anxious to hear about some of the findings that you’ve written about. Some of the findings that the study has made manifest.

So thanks so much for being with us. We look forward to this conversation.

Mark Yarhouse: Yeah. Thank you for just inviting me and giving me a chance to talk a little bit about, I think, what’s a really important topic and a challenging one in the church today.

Scott Rae: So maybe we’ll start with this. How would you describe the change in the way the church has addressed LGBT men and women in the last, say the last 30, 40 years?

Mark Yarhouse: Yeah, so I think the change, I think one of the greatest shifts, has probably been around the ex gay storyline. So the idea of people moving from gay to straight, that was a much more prominent narrative for a long time, I think, in evangelical circles. And it began to diminish several years ago with a number of different factors. Culturally, of course you have the rise of the mainstream LGBTQ community, and you have people within Christian ministries who didn’t experience as much of the change that they had hoped for, that they thought was possible.

And that’s not to say that others didn’t report different experiences than that, but there were more people saying that they didn’t experience that or that they said that they did, and didn’t really. And you also had… So there would be gay individuals, there would be ex gay individuals and there would be ex, ex gay individuals saying that, what I said back then wasn’t sustained. Or it wasn’t what I thought it was. And you also had, then, a group of people who never really went down that path, but because they were more conservative Christians, they went down a path of celibacy and they also didn’t feel like the change narrative, the ex gay narrative was a good fit for them because of the assumptions, sort of within that narrative, about how people become homosexual and what it means to change and some of those debates that were going on.

So there were many different voices, I think, that perhaps led to a diminished ex gay narrative. And then you have, in a sense, a rise of voices that are saying, “We’re celibate, we’re also gay and we’re also people of faith.” And so that’s really, this book is kind of their story in some ways.

Sean McDowell: One of the things that I appreciate about Costly Obedience is that it’s not just reflection and experience, while that has its place. It’s based upon a study. Can you tell us about the nature of the study and maybe some of the 30,000 foot view, big findings that emerged from it?

Mark Yarhouse: Yes. The book Costly Obedience actually has several studies woven throughout it, but the major study is a study of 300 celibate gay Christians who shared their experiences with us. And that group can be broken down into people who are celibate from all relationships and they don’t anticipate entering into a relationship. They see themselves, maybe what I thought of as what celibacy is. And then there was a group of people who were celibate but they said they were open to a relationship with someone of the opposite sex. So that was kind of an interesting thing I hadn’t thought about.

And then there was a group of people who were in a mixed orientation marriage, by which, I mean, if the one person’s orientation is gay or homosexual, the other person in the marriage, their orientation is heterosexual. And so they saw themselves as celibate because they were refraining from same-sex behavior and relationships, but they were in a relationship with a person of the opposite sex.

So we decided, at that moment, as researchers, we would listen to the people who were completing the survey and what they were telling us celibacy meant to them, even though I had my own understanding of what that was going into the study. And so we reported data on all of their experiences, broke it down. You asked, what are some of the major findings? I should say too, that the other studies that are kind of in this book would be a study where we did more interviews with a smaller number of celibate gay Christians. We also did interviews with a group of friends who function as family to celibate gay Christians. Some of them actually live together or live in close proximity to each other. We thought that was kind of a fascinating angle of entry into the conversation.

And then we had another study that was of seminary graduates from Protestant, mostly evangelical seminaries, where we were asking them about their experiences with people who are gay as well. So biggest, biggest surprise to me had to be the mental health issues because the prevailing view is that people who walk out a path of celibacy must be deeply depressed, deeply anxious, just in a really difficult position. And that’s kind of how I thought about it. That’s kind of many of the people that I know who were walking this out, will talk about some of the unique challenges that they face. And so we reported the data and we found that people, in a sense, weren’t as bad off as we thought they were on normed measures of distress and anxiety and depression. Many of them were doing as good as other people in the norm sample.

Now that doesn’t mean don’t take away at all from people who are struggling, but that was a surprise. We also had an interesting measure of attachment and attachment sort of the way that a young child attaches to the primary caregivers around them. And then as an adult, they have relationships that might activate a way of sort of relating to people around them. It’s called an adult attachment style that can get activated. And this group of folks, their highest percentage was in a kind of preoccupied attachment style, which means they really want relationships, but they’re anxious about losing them, which makes sense if somebody is walking out a life of celibacy and they’re not in a marriage relationship, and they’re wondering about what that life’s going to look like, how their emotional needs and needs for intimacy will be met, they cannot afford to be cavalier about friendships and relationships. So it’s going to occupy a bit of bandwidth for them, and they’re going to be more anxious about the possibility of losing them.

Now, I don’t want to make too much of that. The very next highest percentage was a secure attachment style where they also are invested and care about relationships. And they’re low on anxiety about that. But I would say those were probably two of the most interesting findings that we had that I think could help the church respond in ways that are loving and supportive of these brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sean McDowell: Mark, I want to make sure you can really unpack this finding because it surprised me too. I’ve been in so many conversations with affirming and non affirming positions on this. And like you say, the prevailing assumption is that an exposure to non affirming theology itself is what causes sexual minorities to suffer mental health. And what you found is that that’s just not where the evidence points. So can you really highlight why that’s so important and maybe kind of the bigger dynamic that’s going on with that claim?”

SOME TOPICS AND EXCERPTS FROM THE YARHOUSE CAMPUSES STUDIES

INTERSECTION OF RELIGION AND GENDER IDENTITY

“Intersection of Religion and Gender Identity Despite these potential points of conflict, many LGBTQ + persons identify (or at one point identified) as religious (Marin, 2016 ). The Report of the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey asked nearly 28,000 respondents about their experiences with religious communities (e.g., churches, synagogues, mosques, and so on) at some point in their lives, and 66% of respondents indicated lifetime rates of involvement with a religious faith community (James et al., 2016 ). Fear of rejection led 39% of respondents who had been part of a faith community to leave that faith community, and 19% of the sample who had been part of a religious faith community at one point left that community because of their experience of actual rejection. Transgender persons of color reported rejection by their religious faith communities at
higher rates, particularly those who identified as American Indian, Black, and Middle Eastern. Of those who had experienced rejection, fewer than half (42%) ended up in a more supportive religious community.”

PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF TRANSGENDERED STUDENTS

“Psychological Health and Well-Being of Transgender Students Transgender and gender diverse persons appear to be at greater risk than cisgender persons for psychological health disparities and threats to their well-being (e.g., Messman & Leslie, 2019; Oswalt & Lederer, 2017 ). This is often understood with reference to minority stress theory (Perez-Brumer et al., 2017 ). Recent research (Puckett et al., 2019 ) suggests that family social support can foster resilience among transgender persons, which may function as a protective factor to some degree. Regarding potential mental health disparities among college students, Oswalt and Lederer (2017 ) found that 33.4% of transgender students reported symptoms of anxiety, 34.3% depression, and 16.5% panic attacks, among other mental health concerns, and that all of the mental health concerns were reported at significantly higher rates than what was reported by cisgender students. Messman and Leslie (2019) similarly found that transgender students reported more mental health diagnoses, trauma, and suicidality than their cisgender peers. Transgender students also experienced more violence and tended to report higher rates of negative coping behaviors, such as substance use (including nonprescription and illicit drug use) and binge drinking.”

CAMPUS CLIMATE WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON CHRISTIAN CAMPUSES

“Recent research on the experiences of sexual minority students at Christian colleges and universities suggested that they perceived campuses as difficult settings for those navigating questions of sexual identity and religious identity (Author). Post hoc analyses suggested that diverse experiences of gender identity may be related to greater psychological distress”

Campus Climate
Thompson et al. (2019) reported that transgender and gender diverse students had less favorable perceptions of campus climate and experienced more behaviors classified as discriminatory than did students who did not identify as transgender. Transgender students of color were also significantly more likely than cisgender students of color to perceive harassment”

“The Present Investigation”
“The current study is a cross-sectional survey of transgender and gender diverse students who attend Christian colleges or universities in the United States. We investigated the experiences of transgender and gender diverse students in terms of their gender and sexual identity, faith, campus climate experience, perceptions of resources, attitudes and values associated with gender identity, and psychological distress and well-being. Responses were analysed primarily with descriptive and correlational statistics, highlighting some group and within participants differences where possible.”

CONCLUSION

THESE STUDIES SERVE AS GREAT TOOLS ENCOURAGING NORMALIZATION OF THE LGBTQ LANGUAGE, IDENTITIES , AND RIGHTS AMONG CHRISTIAN STUDENTS ON CHRISTIAN CAMPUSES.

THE YARHOUSE STUDIES PROMOTE CONVERSATIONS ON CHRISTIANS CAMPUSES AND OWN THE GOAL OF “MOVING THEM FORWARD FOR TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS, AND TRUSTEES IN OUR CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS …FOR THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE BENEFIT OF GODS BELOVED LGBT+ CHILDREN.”

Sexual and Gender Identity Questions in Christian Schools: A Broader Approach

Julia Smith, Calvin College. June 6, 2019

“The sex/gender domain is replete with opportunities for Christian educators to promote student safety, success, and flourishing in challenging times. The work requires sensitivity, patience, energy, compassion, and courage as we seek to live honestly with tensions that are unlikely to resolve in the foreseeable future. But it is dignifying, life-affirming, and potentially life-saving work that flows from love of God and neighbor and from the core virtue commitments of the Christian faith. My prayer is that the broader approach discussed in this paper will help move the conversation forward for teachers, administrators, and trustees in our Christian schools for the glory of God and the benefit of Gods beloved LGBT+ children.”

THE MISSING LINK TO REAL DISCIPLESHIP

THE ONE GLARING THING ABOUT YARHOUSE, HIS INSTITUTE, THE CCCU, THE BIOLA CONSTLY OBEDIENCE INTERVIEW AND THE CAMPUS RESEARCH IS THE WORD OF GOD.

THE ONE THING THAT SHOULD BE TAUGHT AND OBEYED AND PROMOTED ON CHRISTIAN CAMPUSES IS THE WORD ….NOT APA STANDARDS OR CRITICAL THEORIES BUT ALAS THIS IS THE NEW “NORMAL” FOR CHRISTIAN HIGHER EDUCATION.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THESE INSTITUTIONS PLEASE.

GIVE THEM THE LIVING WORD OF THE LIVING GOD.

2 TIMOTHY 3:

The Man of God and the Word of God

10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

IS AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION BRINGING “LEAVEN OF REVOICE” TO GOD’S VOICE CONFERENCE?

AFA ,GODS VOICE CONFERENCE AND “THE LEAVEN OF REVOICE” EXAMINED

Rev Thomas Littleton

3/1/2022

(NOTE: this writer broke/fully exposed the Revoice  “LGBT+ THRIVING in Historic (conservative) Churches in April 2018. The reality of its origins DEEP inside both the Southern Baptist flagship Seminary SBTS and Presbyterian Church in
America /PCA/ seminary CTS were undeniable. Revoice founder Nate Collins was teaching New Testament at and had spent almost 15 years getting two degrees and employed as both an SBTS staff and active “gay indentified” activist. His book “All But Invisible”, his doctorate asserting that the use of the word “virgin ” was “proof of a third gender ” in the New Testament and the planning of Revoice in the Fall of 2017 were all done at SBTS. The inagural event was held in St Louis MO in a PCA church which house offices of a “partner ministry to Revoice with many staff and students at CTS involved and overlapping in Revoice founding. A CTS professor and his radical daughter hosted the “pre conference meetings for Revoice at another PCA church …all in the Summer 2018. Many other documented ties to both the conservative SBC and The Presbyterian Church in America have been verified and presented here.

God’s Voice Conference arose as part of this writers ongoing work to fully expose the origins of Revoice DEEP inside two of the most conservative denominations in America both of which have deep ties to and leadership in The Gospel Coalition.

THIS lengthy article documents those origins and how the God’s Voice Conference founded to “refute and expose Revoice”. is now lost in the minutia of those trying to provide cover for it or who like AFA ,seem to fail miserably in understanding the complicit invasion and alliance and support from deep inside the SBC/ SBTS and PCA/ CTS which actually exist.

This is not an attack on anyone or organization but a SAD reminder that indeed a “little leaven ” does leaven the entire LUMP. And with God’s Voice partnering with and promoting AFAs film and work, something God’s Voice Steering Committee totally denied in June 2020, the leaven appears to be spreading throughout much of the “opposition” to Revoice. Meanwhile the movement continues to “Thrive ” and become more and more radical even as it has split the PCA once and will again and has gone into hiding under the cover of the Evangelical Deep State in the Southern Baptist. Sad realities. Just examine and take the documentation for itself.

The truth is worth providing for the multitudes of people who really want the truth though it has meant bearing the brunt of all kinds of slander, accusations and false deflection efforts that the previous exposure has brought and which will doubtless come in response to documenting these further developments. Still these documents prove the total contradiction of God’s Voice Steering Committee’s own statements and purpose for it’s founding which this writer and his family played a key role in the development and FUNDING of God’s Voice.

Also , late to the issue by several YEARS and confused by their own failure to research their speakers ties to Revoice and to The Gospel Coalition, Mark Yarhouse and the false Catholic LGBTQ inclusion narrative of “Imago Dei Movement in 2014 “- AFA representatives refused to reexamine ANY of their own documented infiltration of the leaven of Revoice. The TRUTH is still what matters and is always the most powerful thing in the room.)

IN 2018 THE GOPSEL COALITION’S LEADING ROLE IN REVOICE AND THE MLK/50 CONFERENCES EXPLODED THE “LGBTQ  CHRISTIANITY” & SOCIAL JUSTICE DECEPTIONS AMONG EVANGELICAL DENOMINATIONS AND CHURCHES. CONSERVATIVE BELIEVERS BEGAN THE LONG ROAD OF DISCOVERY AND EXPOSURE OF MANY OF THEIR OWN TRUSTED LEADERS.

AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION WAS OFTEN M.I.A. BUT NOW SEEKS TO LEAD THE WAY WITH CONTINUED PROMOTION OF A FILM TAINTED WITH THE LEAVEN OF REVOICE AND MARK YARHOUSE SPEAKERS AND NOW SEEKS TO OWN THE “GOD’S VOICE CONFERENCE WHICH BEGAN AS A REFUTIATION OF REVOICE. HOW CAN ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDE THE LEAVEN  OF THE VERY ERROR THEY ARE SEEKING TO EXPOSE?

AFA’S FILM “IN HIS IMAGE” AND THE MULTITUDE OF TGC/REVOICE/RETHINK AND MARK YARHOUSE SPEAKERS.

AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION AND GOD’S VOICE LEADER “REVOICED” ON LGBTQ?

EXCERPT FROM JUNE 7TH 2020 ARTICLE ON WERE AFA AND GOD’S VOICE BEING “REVOICED”?

(NOTE: This author helped inspire, found and fund, as well as served as a keynote speaker for the God’s Voice Conference in 2019 which was very helpful in fully exposing Revoice and its deeper roots inside two denominational seminaries – SBTS of the Southern Baptist and CTS of the Presbyterian Church in America. By 2020 God’s Voice Conference was all but abandoned and this authors efforts to expand its reach to other regions were met with a take over of the movement countering Revoice and the soon affiliation of Gods Voice leaders with the AFA film “In His Image “ which featured many TGC and Revoice/ Yarhouse allied representatives. This examination and the previous article of June 2020 quoted and linked in this article are to help confused believers observing these undeniable ties to Revoice and The Gospel Coalition and other Yarhouse affiliated efforts like  Ryan T Anderson , Josh McDowell , Biola and Stand To Reason Apologetics Rethink (on LGBTQ ) . The one reality which this author agrees with AFA and it’s film Director MD Perkins is a that “ a little leaven leavens the entire lump”. Galatians 5:9 .So why are God’s Voice Conference and AFA/ AFA Studios film project allowing in the leaven of Revoice and Mark Yarhouse? Good question and one that deserves answering.)

AFA AND GODS VOICE ALLIANCE AND NEW YARHOUSE and GOSPEL COALITION (TGC) PARTNERS.

The sudden alliance of AFA and God’s Voice Conference  (GVC) appeared in March 2020 as GVC promoted AFA new Film “In His Image ” and AFA began promoting GVC.

(NOTE : This writers work exposed Revoice in 2018 by breaking the story in early May. I worked with many groups and media outlets in helping make this important issue THE front line story and concern for 18 months. It was the suggestion of this writer to put together a conference to address the issues related to Revoice for the church. I believed an effort was needed to offer the true transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to hurting people wanting out of LGBTQ and their families and to bolster the church ability to discern and debunk the false gospel of Revoice and Yarhouse. As a result of these efforts GVC was supported by this writer who helped in the leadership team, organize, support, fund and spoke at it’s early 2019 event.

Yarhouse / TGC / CTS / Tim Keller/Albert Mohler/ SBTS  ties to Revoice were exposed  at GVC. Some wonderful testimonies were shared like the mother daughter team of Francine and Laura Perry . YET meanwhile a key member of the GVC Team QUIT immediately after GVC 2019 while Revoice 2019 came more out of the Yarhouse closet with Yarhouse speaking and openly becoming a leader in the Revoice organization for a time. But by that time media coverage of Revoice was being impacted by forces within TGC and beyond. As interest in opposition to Yarhouse and Revoice and God’s Voice Conference efforts continued, this author remained in leadership on the GVC Team. I reached out to remaining leaders including Stephen Black to answer that interest with a 2020 conference possibly to be held in the South. The ongoing efforts to bring about a follow up GVC went without response for many weeks until they were finally met with the sudden and “irreversible removal ” of this author from the GVC leadership Team and the planning of the 2020 event was then going forward. Months later AFA began promoting GVC new event focused on “LGBTQ Tyrany”. Long story- perhaps for another time . Suffice to say some things and powers  were moving in the background and something had CHANGED.-  DRASTICALLY CHANGED  at GVC, Now perhaps we can see some of what caused this change in the wedding of Yarhouse and Revoice ideology in the AFA/ GVC efforts.

The Perry’s are part of this AFA film project but this writer believes that their involvement and others, like himself does not reflect an endorsement of  the TGC/ Yarhouse of Revoice message.  They and some others likely would not knowingly endorse a partnership attempting to combine both the denunciation of Revoice and the wedding of GVC or AFA or any other such efforts with TGC/ Yarhouse, Revoice, Rethink  or any such compromised ideologies being promoted to the church. The mingling and mixture is deadly and robs people and their families in LGBTQ related bondage of the true and infinite  hope of the Gospel. Whatever motivations AFA and GVC leaders have -to combine these movements is not known. What is known is that these two opposite approaches to LGBTQ concerns in the church cannot find common ground as Revoice and Yarhouse ideology is antithetical to the Gospel. Pray for these organizations and for people like this author and others who are caught in the middle of whatever forces are moving this compromise.)

WHAT THIS NEW PARTNERSHIP NOW REVEALS

AFA WAS FIRST OBSERVED WORKING WITH TGC IN ANOTHER FILM PROJECT IN 2018

NOW  THE SECOND AFA FILM PROJECT DETAILS EMERGE

Just recently the contributors to the AFA film project became available to the public. In addition to God’s Voice leader Stephen Black is the SHOCKING reality that the film contributors includes TGC and other spokespersons most closely associated with the promoting and mainstreaming of the Mark Yarhouse /Revoice ideology.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE ON TGC ENDORSEMENT OF REVOICE LEADERS AND IDEOLOGY:

TGC CO-FOUNDER D.A. CARSON IN 2017 PROMOTED THE BOOK “SINGLE GAY CHRISTIAN BY REVOICE “WORSHIP “LEADER AND SPEAKER GREGORY COLES.

THE BOOKS FORWARD IS BY REVOICE AND “SPIRITUAL FRIENDSHIP LEADER WESLEY HILL .

Single, Gay, Christian: A Personal Journey of Faith and Sexual Identity Paperback – August 22, 2017

by Gregory Coles  (Author), Wesley Hill (Foreword)

“To say this book is important is a painful understatement. It is the candid, moving, intensely personal story of a gay young man who wants to live his life under the authority of King Jesus and who refuses to accept the comforting answers proffered by different parts of the culture. Superbly written, this book stands athwart the shibboleths of our day and reminds us what submission to King Jesus looks like, what it feels like. This book needs to be thoughtfully read by straight people and by gay people, by unbelievers and by Christians. It is not to be read with a condescending smirk, but with humility.” (D. A. Carson, president, The Gospel Coalition, research professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School)”

TGC HAS PUBLISHED AND CONTINUE TO PROMOTE REVOICE LEADERS ARTICLES AND TGC  OTHER CO-FOUNDER TIM KELLER AND HIS WIFE  ENDORSED THE RADICAL LIVING OUT LGBTQ CHURCH INCLUSION AUDIT AS LIVING OUT WAS ENDORSING REVOICE “FOR THEIR US AUDIENCE”.

DOCUMENTATION OF THE TGC  ISSUES WILL BE PROVIDED MORE IN FULL BELOW BUT HERE IS A SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE CONFLICTED PARTNERS AND THE PRO REVOICE /PRO YARHOUSE HISTORIES.

KEVIN DEYOUNG

Deyoung is a popular PCA and TGC leader. The PCA Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis MO is where much of the Revoice movement was incubated. Deyoung is part of the PCA Committee Report which only last week gave cover to the entire movement which has already split the PCA .More reaction is to follow to this PCA apostasy on LGBTQ. Deyoung is a close disciple of TGC founder Tim Keller and TGC fully signed on to promote Yarhouse SOGI ideology in 2010.

(NOTE Yarhouse long history with TGC recounted by Yarhouse bio here. http://sexualidentityinstitute.org/sample-page/dr-mark-yarhouse/

He has been a consultant to the National Institute of Corrections under the Department of Justice to address issues facing sexual minorities in corrections, and he was part of a consensus panel from the American Psychological Association on sexual orientation and gender identity change efforts that convened to provide input to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in Washington, DC. Dr. Yarhouse is currently the Chair of the task force on LGBT issues for Division 36 (Psychology of Religion and Spirituality) of the American Psychological Association. He was recently invited to write the featured white paper on sexual identity for the Christ on Campus Initiative edited by Don A. Carson for The Gospel Coalition.”

STEPHEN BLACK

Black is or has been one of the key defenders of “ex gay” counseling and his ministry First Stone defends these ministries while he has condemned the Revoice movement strongly. Black and his ministry help organize Gods Voice Conference in opposition to Revoice but is now working with AFA and a team of Yarhouse, Revoice, TGC ideology promoters.

RYAN T.ANDERSON

Anderson is a Heritage Foundation leader but he worked DIRECTLY WITH  Revoice leader Nate Collins in 2017 as Revoice was being planned and founded. Revoice  founder Collins reviewed Ryan Anderson’s book for Christianity Today and other outlets in 2017. Anderson and Revoice leaders Nate Collins and Preston Sprinkle worked together in a panel in the “Q Ideas “forum led by Tim Keller disciple Gabe Lyons in 2017. Collins and Q Ideas history of this work with Ryan Anderson have been removed from Collins SBTS (TGCs Albert Mohler  SBC seminary) academic resume’ where he studied and worked (for 14 1/2 years) teaching New Testament . Q Ideas no longer list the Anderson/ Collins/ Sprinkle panel event either.

SEAN MCDOWELL

McDowell is a leading Biola University Apologetics Department instructor. He works with Stand to Reason (STR) apologetics  and several other organizations. Biola is FULLY SUBSCRIBED TO MARK YARHOUSE  and McDowell promotes and interviews him. In 2016 Stand To Reason launched a version of Revoice  CALLED  Rethink in its LGBTQ conversations . On the topic of LGBTQ -“RETHINK APOLOGETICS  is all based on Mark Yarhouse ideology.

AFA “ IN HIS IMAGE” FILM NARRATIVE LOOKS TO BE AN EXTENTION OF THE CATHOLIC LGBTQ INCLUSION MESSAGE OF THE IMAGO DEI CAMPAIGN OF 2014

“Gays are created in the image of God. So are liberals. The rich. The undocumented. Unbelievers. Everyone, even, and most importantly, the people with whom you do not agree.

“That’s the message of the Imago Dei Campaign, a new movement of prominent evangelical groups launched on Monday to erode the culture war battle lines that have helped define evangelical discourse for the better part of half a century. The Imago Dei, or Image of God, pledge is simple: “I recognize that every human being, in and out of the womb, carries the image of God; without exception. Therefore, I will treat everyone with love and respect.”

“The inclusion of the “straight and gay” clause is particularly bold given the heated political climate over gay marriage in the evangelical community, and that is precisely the point. Rodriguez, Daly and others hope that the Imago Dei message sets a new tone for evangelical conversations about controversial political topics. “We have broken this down into simply battle language, culture war, and I think it is frankly unhealthy,” Daly explains. “We need to express the Christian message in a different way.”

“The Imago Dei may not go far enough for activists who want evangelical groups like Focus on the Family to completely reverse their position on gay marriage. But it is a step reminiscent of Pope Francis’ now historic “Who am I to judge” tone-shift on the gay community. Rodriguez hopes the Imago Dei will take hold with similar weight. “Can we go beyond having a confrontation, can we have a conversation that is better than a debate?” he asks. “We are coming into the room as equals because we are both made in the image of God. It changes everything.”

GOD’S VOICE CONFERENCE SCRAMBLE TO DENY TIES TO AFA OR REVOICE COMPROMISE.

GODS VOICE “COMMITTEE” DENIED – DISAVOWED -AND DISOWNED THE LEAVEN OF REVOICE IN THE AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATIONS FILM “IN HIS IMAGE” IN JUNE OF 2020.

https://www.godsvoice.us/a-message-from-the-gods-voice-c

A Message from The God’s Voice Conference Committee – June 12, 2020

“The members of the God’s Voice Conference steering committee would like to set the record straight concerning some false allegations that have been leveled against us”.

First Stone Ministries executive director Stephen Black, who also serves on the God’s Voice Conference steering committee, was asked to appear in American Family Studios‘ upcoming film, “In His Image,” to share his testimony on camera. God’s Voice Conference had no involvement in the film and has no formal relationship with American Family Studios or the American Family Association.

As the choice of participants in the film was solely that of American Family Studios, Stephen Black had no knowledge about, say over or contact with anyone else interviewed for the film except for Laura and Francine Perry. Subsequently, Stephen Black’s participation in the film in no way implies any endorsement of any other participants, their ministries or any entity connected to or endorsed by any other participant.”

“God’s Voice Conference and all its steering committee members — Stephen Black, Peter LaBarbera and Janet Mefferd — continue to strongly and categorically reject the deadly errors and heresies of both Revoice and Mark Yarhouse. In addition, they continue to repudiate every error of The Gospel Coalition related to the sins of both homosexual lusts and homosexual behavior and any unbiblical position of any of its members or writers who undermine, in any way, the hope of redemption and Christ-centered transformation for every repentant sexual sinner.”

“God’s Voice Conference and its steering committee members remain firmly and faithfully committed to the Word of God and the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to save and transform anyone wrestling with homosexuality or any other form of sexual sin. Our biblical position against all forms of alleged “LGBTQ+ Christianity” is the entire reason we created and conducted the God’s Voice Conference. If we did not strongly believe that this dangerous heresy needed to be refuted from the Word of God, the conference would not exist.

Anyone who has communicated or implied in any way that the God’s Voice Conference has, in any way, shape or form, compromised its biblical position on homosexuality, or that anyone on the God’s Voice Conference steering committee has either directly or implicitly endorsed or supported any person or entity that rejects or undermines the biblical hope offered by the God’s Voice Conference last year, is smearing the conference with known falsehoods and baseless conspiracy theories.

We look forward to the upcoming God’s Voice Conference in 2021, with details about a new date coming soon. Now, as ever, we are profoundly grateful to the Lord for His boundless love, infinite mercy and abiding truth.”

“ Confronting the Ideology of the Revoice Movement.”

SIDE A VS SIDE B

The most useful tactic by Revoice activist to divert criticism is the promote the discussion of the “Side A ( fully LGBTQ Affirming ) and Side B ( embracing LGBTQ Christian identities but stopping short of  affirming LGBTQ sexual activity or marriage.

At the Presbyterian Church in America /P

SAMPLE of AFA/Perkins Side a vs Side B narrative

“This thinking has been variously labelled: Side B thinking, the Spiritual Friendship movement, gay celibate theology, or the Revoice movement. Each term is basically synonymous, yet each also imperfectly captures a different emphasis or historic moment of the stream of thinking. They each require a little context in order to appreciate why they have been variously used by people trying to understand or define the ideology. The term Side B began as a label adopted by some “gay Christians” on the Gay Christian Network website in the early 2000s in conversations between Justin Lee (gay affirming author) and Ron Belgau (gay celibate Catholic). Side B Christians believe homosexual behavior to be sinful and that “gay Christians” should remain celibate because of the Bible’s teaching. Nevertheless, Side B Christians found abiding comradery with affirming “gay Christians” (or Side A) because of their shared experience as homosexuals, frequently recounting stories about being mistreated or misunderstood in conservative churches. Both Side A and Side B shared a resistance to “ex-gay” ministry (such as Exodus International) and trauma counseling. They both tended to de-emphasize the potential causes of homosexuality, implicitly assuming some inherent cause, and quickly moving on to focus on how someone should live in light of the experience of same-sex attraction. They both emphasized that homosexual orientation could not change and that Christians needed to alter their culture war response to LGBT issues in society.”

MUCH OF THE AFA /PERKINS DISCUSSION IN THE 73 PAGE DOCUMENT ON REVOICE THEOLOGY “A LITTLE LEAVEN” IS MIRED IN THE SIDE A VS SIDE B TALKING POINTS USED BY REVOICE ACTIVIST TO COVER THEIR LGBTQ CHRISTIAN ADVOCACY IN THE NARRATIVES OF “CELIBACY OR MIXED ORIENTATION MARRIAGE” WHILE OPENLY ADVOCATING FOR LGBTQ AND “QUEER CHRISTIANITY”.

Why does AFA and Perkins use the activist word salad of deflection? Why did the PCA leaders allow their General Assembly efforts to refute Revoice inside their own denomination to be lost in 3-4 hours of the same discussion?

In the case of the PCA the effort is allowed to flourish alongside Revoice “flourishing” inside the conservative PCA -while it remain deeply embedded and unchallenged in its own Flagship Seminary CTS in St Louis where Revoice is headquartered.  CTS nor the PCA have made ANY EFFORT to rid the flagship seminary of Revoice where it was incubated in the PCA and continues to have MANY ALLIES and complicit organizations.

AFA’s MF Perkins is a PCA church elder in Mississippi and has now joined his input into the problems the PCA is having in dealing with the real issue and extent of infiltration.

NOTE- Revoice has already SPLIT THE PCA ONCE and many individual members have left due to it and TGC unchecked influences. The STRUGGLE for a few conservative biblically committed PCA leaders is ongoing but has all but failed in the PCA and another EVEN LARGER SPLIT IS EXPECTED soon. The PCA was born a generation ago out of the similar battles which failed to prevent the PCUSA from becoming “Gay affirming” including in ordination of practicing /self-identified LGBTQ as it is today.  The current Side B /Celibate but “adhering to orthodox Christian Ethic” is nothing more than the old language of “non practicing homosexuals” of 4 decades ago. The mushy middle -like the Side B position always slides into the far left of total affirmation, membership, and ordination of practicing , active and now more broadly identified as “LGBTQ Christians”.

PERKINS PCA ARTICLE PUBLISHED RECENTLY

In this article AFA’s Perkins goes into great detail about pastor Greg Johnson who is a Revoice leader and hosted the 2018 event at his PCA Church Memorial Presbyterian.  Perkins repeatedly names the PCUSA influences on Johnson but fails to go anywhere near his own PCA’s Covenant Theological Seminary DEEP ties to Revoice OR those of Founder Nate Collins whose almost 15 years being educated , employed and teaching New Testament while funding Revoice at Albert Mohler’s Southern Baptist Theological Seminary SBTS – the flagship Southern Baptist Seminary. Why do Perkins and AFA ignore these realities and instead deflect on Side A vs Side B, Johnsons flimsy narratives and extended discussion on the PCUSA influences on him rather than his own compromised denominational seminary?

WHY did AFA and Perkins wait YEARS into the destructive movement of Revoice to begin in 2021 to refute it? Why are they deflecting attention off the much deeper connections of Nate Collins who founder Revoice to Albert Mohler and SBTS?

Why did Parkins in the AFA paper on the Theology of Revoice discuss at length about Alan Chambers and the 2013 collapse of Exodus International (page 17)while leaving out the now well documented fact that Nate Collins and his father Chip ,both already Albert Mohler underlings at the time, were working directly with Alan Chambers in Exodus International as it was collapsed in 2013?

https://web.archive.org/web/20130319132739/http://exodusfreedom.org/overview-2/featured-speakers/

Alan Chambers
In 1991, Alan Chambers abandoned an identity based on his sexual attractions and embraced an identity rooted in Christ. For the past 10 years he has been the President of Exodus International. An accomplished speaker and writer, Alan has been interviewed by many national and international media outlets. He is also the primary author of God’s Grace and the Homosexual Next Door and Leaving Homosexuality. In 2011, he was named World Magazine’s Daniel of the Year – a designation given to individuals who exhibit great faith and strength in standing against ungodly trends. He and his wife live in Orlando, with their son and daughter.
Chip & Nate Collins
Nate and his father, Chip, are the Directors of Aligned Grace Resources, an organization that equips churches to minister the grace and truth of the gospel to people affected by same-sex attraction. For 30 years, Chip has ministered in churches and college campuses in the US, and in the mission fields of South America and the Caribbean. Married for 35 years to his wife, Suzie, they have three grown sons.

Nate is passionate about helping pastors and church leaders to be more informed and effective ministers of the gospel as they reach out to individuals and families affected by same-sex attraction. He is currently pursuing a PhD in New Testament Studies at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nate and his wife, Sara, have been married for nine years and they have two sons.

PERKINS AFA AND MARK YARHOUSE -THE SHUFFLE TO HIDE THE GOPSLE COALITION ?

On page of the AFA /Perkins Revoice paper Perkins mentions a whitepaper written by Mark Yarhouse in 2010 but fails to expose that this infamous Whitepaper is the basis od TGC subscribing to Revoice ideology via Yarhouse in 2010 when D A Carson commissioned and adapted it for use in the Christ on Campus work from TEDS/ TGC.

Perkins

“In a 2010 paper intended to help guide Christian colleges to reconsider the validity of sexual identity, Yarhouse says Side B Christians are not creating “a sense of identity around the common meanings or connotations associated with ‘gay’ as an identity label.” He continues: To some, this might mean that these gay Christians are changing the common meaning of the word “gay” in that they reject behavioral expression of their attraction for religious reasons. But to these Christian sexual minorities, they share a common sense of experience with members of the gay community, and the use of the word “gay” (as a self-defining attribution) is an honest account of their sexual attractions and reflects the resonance they feel with the gay community at that level. 129 As evidenced by his own terminology, Yarhouse has already decided the point. He freely admits that there is potential for identity to be shaped by language when he says, “I encourage people to carefully examine the language that they use to describe themselves and their experiences since I believe language can shape a person’s sense of identity.”130 It is not clear what should motivate a person to exercise carefulness over their language choice besides a personal sense of authenticity. That is because Yarhouse sees identity labels as a purely personal choice and not something that the Bible should guide. Essentially, he lands exactly where Revoice does in their Statement: it is “a matter of wisdom and liberty.”

YET YARHOUSE OWN BIO CONFIRMS THIS WHITEPAPER TO HAVE ACTUALLY BECOME THE BASIS OF HIS / TGC CHRIST ON CAMPUS FOCUS.

So Perkins proves the error of Yarhouse thinking, mentions the Whitepaper and links it and fails to mention it is the TGC gold standard commissioned by D A Carson cofounder of TGC with LGBTQ/ Living Out Revoice compromised Tim Keller. Perkins even goes on to quote from TGC compromised leader and AFA film “In His Image” presenter Kevin De Young. How is this oversight possible?

(NOTE this link is from Biola where Yarhouse was speaking and where another AFA/ Perkins film presenter who subscribes to Mark Yarhouse flawed ideology -the basis of Revoice – works in the Biola/Stand to Reason Apologetics. That being Sean McDowell Revoice and Yarhouse influences are all over the place in the AFA film but never noticed by AFA or Perkins? )

In 2000, he chaired a groundbreaking symposium at the American Psychological Association’s annual convention that brought together gay psychologists and Christian psychologists to discuss common ground in treatment options for those who experience sexual and religious identity conflicts.”
  • “Dr. Yarhouse is the past recipient of the Gary R. Collins Award for Excellence in Christian Counseling.

DeYoung nor Walker can expose Revoice or Yarhouse while being deeply entrenched in movements promoting both Revoice and Yarhouse.

“Christian identity is something that encompasses position, identification, and experience—and, in the common understanding, gay identity is something that does the same thing. As pastor Kevin DeYoung highlights in his critique of the Revoice 18 conference: I agree with Rosaria Butterfield (among others) who find the term [“gay Christian”] deeply problematic in that (1) it makes sexual orientation an accurate and essential category of personhood, and (2) it undermines the biblical notion that a desire for something illegitimate is in itself an illegitimate desire in need of repentance and grace.131 Andrew T. Walker notes a similar issue in a critique of Side B author David Bennett’s book A War of Loves: We don’t attach other modifiers to our Christian faith when the modifier in question originates with sin or natures that are the product of the fall. We should no more endorse ‘gay Christianity’ or ‘gay identity’ than we should alcoholic Christianity, racist Christianity, or slanderous Christianity. We ought not modify our Christian walk with attributes born of fallen desires.132 Walker is right. No other sinful proclivity is partitioned off in quite the same way as homosexuality. Interestingly, in contrast to homosexuality, scientists do have some evidence that alcoholism could be considered a “complex genetic disease.”

IN SECTION 3 PERKINS QUOTES REVOICE FOUNDER NATE COLLINS OFTEN BUT FAILS TO EXPOSE HIS AFFILATIONS

Revoice Founder Collins is mentioned often and quoted repeatedly especially in the part 3 of Perkins AFA paper. Sam Allberry is also mentioned in a somewhat critical light for his SSA Christian identity.

Perkins FAILS to that Allberry is a TGC editor on all things LGBTQ.

Allberry’s Ministry Living Out hosted TGC cofounder Tim Keller and his wife in their London conference  just one month prior to Revoice 2018 launch in July while Living Out and Allberry promoted Revoice on social media “for our US audience”.

Perks AFA document does not point out that it was Nate Collins in 2013 who wrote the TGC critique of Sam Allberrys new book at the time “Is God anti Gay?”

CHRISTIAN LIVING

Is God Anti-Gay?

JULY 15, 2013  |  NATE COLLINS

“In this brief but important book, Is God Anti-Gay? And Other Questions about Homosexuality, the Bible, and Same-Sex Attraction, Sam Allberry combines pastoral wisdom, authentic autobiography, and sound exegesis to provide Christians with a helpful introduction to the topic of homosexuality.”

Nate Collins is the executive director of Aligned Grace Resources, a ministry he founded with his father to equip churches to minister the grace and truth of the gospel to people affected by same-sex attraction. Nate and his wife, Sara, live with their two sons in Louisville, Kentucky, where he is pursuing a PhD in New Testament at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. You can follow him on Twitter.”

The deception and collaboration with Revoice and TGC is deep and wide and long standing.  It should be noted that AFA was launching it’s own project in 2018 filled with leaders from TGC.

Both Collins and Allberry claim influence of Mark Yarhouse and both have long term TGC ties where Yarhouse 2010 Whitepaper AFA’s Perkins says was “written to help”… became the gold standard on SOGI Sexual Orientation Gender Identity for TGC affiliates.

December 2017 TGC was promoting Nate Collins book “All But Invisible “ written and published while Collins was teaching New Testament at Al Mohler’s SBTS and planning Revoice inaugural event. Collins dissertation and book are the basis of Revoice development . His SBTS dissertation asserts that the use of Virgin in the NT is “proof of a third gender option “ in NT times.

Nate Collins and AFA /Perkins Film presenter Ryan T Anderson were also working together in 2017 though Collins CV Resume at SBTS was later altered and shortened to hide the connections to Anderson and Collins.

PAGE 25 OF PERKINS AFA “A LITTLE LEAVEN” AN ODD BIT OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY -THIS AUTHOR IS SITED IN THE FOOTNOTES BUT NOT IN THE ACTUAL TEXT. SOME  AFA AFFILIATES HAVE A HISTORY OF ATTEMPTING TO SILENCE THE DEEPER DIGGING REVOICE EXPOSURE DONE BY THIS AUTHOR.

“By embracing the language of sexual orientation, are we not doing spiritual damage to sexual sinners by saying they have a unique sexual condition that they must “steward” rather than a temptation they must flee? Are we not emphasizing the failure of the flesh rather than the overcoming we expect in the Holy Spirit? These kinds of warnings are absent in the works of Revoice teachers and other Side B proponents. This is exactly why conservative commentators, such as Janet Mefferd, referred to the Revoice conference as a “Trojan horse,” 69 because destructive, worldly ideologies were being imported under the guise of being loving and “missionally sensitive.”

CHRONICLED EVENTS OF PCA , SBC AND OTHER ENTITIES AND INDIVIDUALS TO STOP THE TRUE EXPOSURE OF REVOICE ORIGINS DEEP INSIDE THE PCA AND SBC CAN BE FOUND AT THIS AUTHORS WEBSITE. THE FULL STORY OF TWIST AND TURNS AND SUBVERSION BY MULTIPLE PLAYERS TO HIDE THE FULL PCA AND SOUTHERN BAPTIST SEMINARIES AND LEADERS INVOLVEMENT IN REVOICE IS A LONG ONE IDDED. TOO LONG FOR THESE PAGES.

CONCLUSION

AFA and Michael Perkins work “exposing Revoice “ its origins, the behind the scenes development of it and it’s actual heretical realities are lost in a film which is deeply leavened with TGC Revoice and Yarhouse devotees , a Catholic who worked directly with Nate Collins the Revoice founder and is produced by a fringe and slippery character from the New Apostolic Reformation with a history of dividing movements. AFA and Perkins theological treatment of Revoice and its devotion to issues outside its real origins inside the flagship seminaries of the PCA and SBC conservative denominations serves little purpose except to prevent viewers and readers from understanding the depths of Revoice utter infiltration of the church and the looming reality that this deep infiltration of not only the false “LGBTQ Christianity” but social, racial, refugee, economic and socialist “justice”. Are robbing the church of its vision, the Great Commission and the heart and soul of PROCLAIMING the powerful Gospel of Jesus life death and resurrection.

Only One Gospel

6 “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert[a] the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be [b]accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”

This information is provided to help link the actual history of the development of Revoice and it’s deadly and divisive impact on conservative churches.

Revoice is now actively seeking to develop “Church Partnerships”. The movement has already split the conservative Presbyterian Church in America .In the background, unknown to many is the reality of these 2016 and beyond “Gay Conversations” including such leaders as The Gospel Coalition co-founder Tim Keller, Russell Moore ( TGC leadership council and then head of Southern Baptist Policy arm ERLC) and this radical host of Revoice leaders .

REVOICE LATEST EFFORT TO RECRUIT PARTNER CHURCHES IN THE EVER DEEPENING DECEPTION .

“Introducing the Church Partnership Program”

“For years, Revoice has been creating Christ-centered community for sexual minorities. Our conference has connected individuals who had previously lived in isolation and cast vision for abundant life in Christ Jesus. As we continue to care for our community, we believe God is expanding the work of Revoice – so we are excited to announce our Church Partnership program! Walking together in deliberate and consistent relationship, we will empower local ministries to compassionately and Biblically disciple sexual minorities.”

“Revoice Church Partnership offers three options for engagement, to meet the specific needs of individual churches. Our Shepherding Cohort provides monthly group training through a year-long curriculum, and connects ministry leaders with others who are growing in their care for sexual minorities. Our Consult program adds a private monthly meeting where we provide contextualized guidance to your ministry, and our Coach program goes a step further in helping you execute your own growth plan with access to specialized training.”

“If you are interested in your ministry becoming a Revoice Church Partner, fill out our contact form at revoice.us/church-partnership, and our Director of Community Care will contact you for a 30 minute informational meeting. We are currently taking applications in March for our cohort launching in April.”

Church Partnership

“Our Church Partnership program invites local ministries to walk with us in consistent relationship so they may grow in their capacity to disciple sexual minorities.”

What is Church Partnership?

“A long-term program focused on helping pastors and ministry leaders care for sexual minorities. We focus on increasing your own understanding, compassion, and shepherding skills.”

Who is it for?

“Any ministry leader looking to grow in their ability to care for sexual minorities.”

How does it work?

“We offer three levels of engagement:”

-“Our Shepherding Cohort provides monthly group training through important areas of growth. You’ll get to know leaders across the country who are asking similar questions so you’re not alone in the journey. We’ll cover topics such as outreach, caring for teenagers, and theology.”

-“Our Consult program adds a private monthly meeting so we can provide guidance to your ministry. Working with a Revoice staff member, you’ll identify specific needs and goals. We’ll establish a growth plan that you will execute.”

-“Our Coach program goes a step further. With two private monthly meetings, we will help you develop and execute a custom growth plan. Those meetings can provide training to key leaders in your ministry, create programs that meet the needs of your community, and address situations that arise over the course of our relationship.”

Interested in becoming a Revoice Church Partner?

“Our Director of Community Care will contact you to schedule a 30 minute meeting!”

The Gay Conversation

A New Podcast Series From Q

ABOUT THE PODCAST SERIES

In society today, the orthodox Christian belief that the practice of homosexuality is a sin is out of step with the times. This tension is unavoidable.

In a moment where the cultural consensus has completely flipped, many who hold to the historic belief avoid the depth of this conversation at all costs. The risk of saying the wrong thing, offending a new friend, being extreme or worse yet—unloving, quiets the dialogue. Yet privately, Christians are desperate to address this important topic with love, clarity and biblical conviction. Is there really a way forward that demonstrates both truth and grace?

CONCLUSION

REVOICE Movement was born in the conservative flagship Seminaries of the PCA (CTS) and the Southern Baptist (SBTS) .It is the product of the studies of Critical Theories on Race , Gender, Feminism, Sexual Minorities /Queer Theory and embodies the processes of SOCIAL CHANGE in the conservative Christian churches and denominations in the US, Europe and beyond . This process of “Gay Conversations” and promotion of the ideology of the American Psychological Association/ Mark Yarhouse Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity / SOGI is perhaps the greatest collaboration by deceptive evangelical leaders in our time. These endless “conversations” movements, books, curriculum and conferences are a classic DIALECTIC exchange to move Christians away from Biblical convictions and standards on human sexuality, gender, marriage and family. The Racial narratives of Critical Race Theory and rabid feminism are also part of this Intersectionality movement .

The tools of this trade are the classic Cultural Marxist tools of Social Change and Deconstructionism. Evangelical leaders ,including these documented above , are part of this grand deception driving the church toward inclusion in the Global Goals of inter-faith/ multi-faith global inclusive and affirming spirituality with the next generation , our children and grandchildren, being indoctrinated to be servants and minions in the “Common Good” as “Global Citizens”.

BUY THE TRUTH AND SELL IT NOT

Proverbs 23

19 Hear, my son, and be wise;
And guide your heart in the way.
20 Do not mix with winebibbers,
Or with gluttonous eaters of meat;
21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty,
And drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.

22 Listen to your father who begot you,
And do not despise your mother when she is old.

23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it,
Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.

24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.
25 Let your father and your mother be glad,
And let her who bore you rejoice.

26 My son, give me your heart,
And let your eyes observe my ways.

COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS INTERVIEW REVEALS GLOBALIST LGBTQ AGENDA VS CHRISTIANITY AND RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.

THE LONG RANGE GOAL OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS DISCUSSION GLOBALLY IS TO REPLACE ALL BOTHERSOME LANGUAGE DEFINING HUMAN RIGHTS WITH “HUMAN DIGNITY” AND USING TOOLS LIKE LGBTQ “RIGHTS” TO MAKE THE U.S. CONSITUTION AND OTHERS LIKE IT OBSOLETE. RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, SPEECH, ALL PERSONAL FREEDOM ARE THEN REDEFINED AND LIMITED BY THAT WHICH ASSERTS TO RECONGIZE THE “DIGNITY OF THE FRINGE”.

Rev Thomas Littleton

2/26/2022

In recent years there has emerged a new language and stated set of concerns and special interest which subject religious liberty to limitations and redefinition . It is the language contained in a very small phrase “human dignity”. All personal freedoms for all “global citizens ” are now being subjected to and redefined by it.

Christianity is it’s largest target and a recent Council on Foreign Relations interview with a “Faith Based Partnership ” and Human Rights Campaign /LGBTQ advocacy leader shows the application of the phrase and the tools of the trade for forced global “social change”.

Remember CFR is one of if not THE OLDEST globalist think tank and policy influencer funded and directed by David Rockefeller. It’s values have helped created the United Nations and drive both national and global policy.

“Michael Vazquez, independent policy advisor, discusses LGBTQ+ rights around the world and the Biden administration’s efforts to promote and defend these rights at home and abroad.”

EXPANDED BIO FOR MICHAEL

“Vazquez, Director of HRC’s Religion & Faith Program, is Catholic and lives in Washington, D.C. Before joining HRC, Vazquez was the Co-Executive Director of Brave Commons, which works to support LGBTQ rights on Christian college campuses. He holds a Master of Theological Studies from Duke University’s Divinity School.”

“As a public theologian and organizer, both my personal faith and the collective faith of the movement for our liberation have been central in my pursuit of the common good. Catholicism teaches that we are to hate evil and to love justice, and that is why abolition and an unyielding commitment to the defense of Black LGBTQ lives are the central ethics that drive my work. The way my queerness prophetically intersects with my faith allows me—as it does other LGBTQ faith leaders, theologians, and organizers—to imagine a reality far more just, equitable, and abundant than anything we have ever experienced, and it grants both the resilience and vitality to do the work to get us there.”

Mr. Vazquez served as communications director at the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at USAID, the religion and faith director at the Human Rights Campaign, and as a fellow at Faith and Public Life, and founder of Brave Commons. He was also an advisor to the faith engagement team for the Biden-Harris campaign.”

“So, Michael, thanks very much for being with us. I would like it if you could set the table and talk a little bit about what is being done to promote LGBTQ+ rights in the United States and around the world, and how faith communities can contribute to this.”

SOME EXCERPTS ON CHRISTIANITY, RELIGION AND GLOBAL LGBTQ RIGHTS

VAZQUEZ

I want to begin by talking about the role that faith communities, particularly faith leaders, have always held in communities throughout history as truth tellers and storytellers, right? That’s one of the principal roles that faith leaders have held, and not just clergy but cantors, singers, choirs, artists. Their role has been to disseminate truth and to tell a story about community in order to edify a community towards a particular end. Typically, throughout faith traditions, that’s towards the common good. How do we ensure that every member of our community and those that serve the communities that surround us experience equity, experience justice, safety, and security?”

“INHERENT (HUMAN) DIGNITY AND HOW FAITH LEADERS CAN ADVANCE LGBTQ RIGHTS”.

“One of the truths most religious traditions hold as central and core to their faith is that every individual has inherent dignity and value. You find that Islam. You find that in Christianity. You find that in Judaism. You find that in Hinduism. Across traditions, you find this core belief that every individual in the entirety of creation has inherent dignity and value. And so while there might be disagreements about policy, while there might be disagreements about positions on gender and sexuality broadly speaking, every tradition has maintained that there is dignity in every human person. And I think that’s a critical thing for us to set the table with because as we look at how faith leaders and faith communities both domestically and globally can engage in advancing LGBTQ rights, we need to go back to the core tenets that these communities hold and uphold and call on them to draw out of those traditions in order to advance justice for the LGBTQ community and, as a result, advance justice and equity for all communities.”

THE AFFIRMING POPE FRANCIS AND “THE COMMON GOOD”

“Pope Francis speaks on this by saying that disagreements of a philosophical or theological nature between faiths or between particular groups and people of faith are not obstacles to uniting to pursue shared goals as long as everyone involved shares a concern for the common good.”

ASSERTION THAT “MAJORITY OF PEOPLE OF FAITH SUPPORT LGBTQ RIGHTS”.

“I think that what we have seen, is as this story has been told both in the U.S. and abroad, as this—the reality that LGBTQ people—lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer people—have human—basic dignity, and thus have—should have access to the full diversity of human rights available to everyone else. As this has been shared, we have seen an increase—the data has shown—Pew shows there’s been an increase of acceptance globally for LGBTQ people and rights that should be afforded to us. Likewise, the Public Religious (sic; Religion) Research Institute has shown that the majority of people of faith in the United States support comprehensive protections against discrimination for the LGBTQ community.

AMERICAN RELIGIOUS RIGHT /ANTI SODOMY LAWS/COLONIALISM / CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN GROUPS ” ARE THE PROBLEM ACCORDING TO VAZQUEZ AND CFR.

“So this begins with looking at the hard truths—the hard truths and then the hopeful things, right? The hard truth is that there has been a campaign globally by the religious right based in the United States and elsewhere, but primarily in the United States, to advance anti-LGBTQ policies, to support—whether that’s the anti-sodomy laws that we see in the Middle East and Africa; that’s—or we see throughout Africa some other anti-LGBTQ laws that are promoted by Catholic bishops, particularly in Uganda as an example. Throughout the world we see these, first, colonial holdover laws, colonial anti-sodomy laws that were left behind by European colonial powers and that have remained on the books ever since these colonial powers left these regions. And then you see, right, outside groups—outside conservatives—conservative religious groups pushing for the maintenance of these anti-LGBTQ laws, whether that’s banning relationships, whether that’s making being LGBTQ against the law and punishable by imprisonment and incarceration, or by death. We see that a lot of the advocacy for these laws come from minority religious groups in the United States and elsewhere.”

TRUMP WAS AGAINST THE LGBTQ ACCORDING TO THE INTERVIEW

“And we saw in order to help sustain this, in the previous administration we saw Secretary Pompeo—Secretary of State Pompeo institute the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, right? There’s a close connection between this idea that LGBTQ rights must be prevented that these conservative religious groups are pushing, and this idea that religious freedom must be protected from, over, and against LGBTQ rights; that religious freedom, particularly I would say conservative religious freedom, was under threat globally and must be protected by—against or from the advancement of LGBTQ rights.”

THE CORE POINT OF CONFLICT …IN HIS OWN WORDS

“And so the Ministerial on Religious Freedom elevated religious freedom above other rights or made a claim  contrary to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that gives us a broad array of equal—coequal human rights, this ministerial and the previous administration claimed that there was—there’s religious freedom and then there’s all other rights, right? And we need to reframe that.”

A CALL TO “RELIGIOUS LEADERS TO STAND FOR LGBTQ RIGHTS

“We need religious leaders to stand in that also, not to say that our rights as religious people or people of faith are greater than the rights of other people. In order to safeguard LGBTQ rights and to advance LGBTQ rights globally, we have to get to the heart of this debate that there is religious freedom and religious rights in opposition to LGBTQ rights.”

MAKING ALLIES AND CALLING FOR THE EQUALITY ACT.

“Religious freedom is a major global issue. I will say that. It is a major global issue that we have to address with the rise of anti-Semitism, with the rise of Islamophobia, with the crackdowns on religious minorities around the world, there’s work that we have to do. There’s critical work that we have to do to ensure that religious minorities are protected, but we need to be able to distinguish between protecting religious freedom for religious minorities who are actually being persecuted, and the attempts by certain communities to use religious freedom as a weapon against other minority groups, which is what I believe we see in this battle for LGBTQ rights both domestically and abroad.”

“There are two major policies I want to speak to briefly and then we can get into it a little bit more later. But we have the GLOBE Act introduced by Senator Markey and we have the Equality Act, which passed the House for the second time last February. So we’re coming up—it was at the end of last February, so we’re coming up on the one-year anniversary of the Equality Act, which would provide comprehensive civil rights protections in matters of public accommodation, housing, employment, credit, et cetera, for LGBTQ people. Passed the House last February. We’re still waiting to see what its fate will be in the Senate.”

CONCLUSION

Faith leaders are well on their way to these grand deceptions and to moving the church into the hands of this global cabal. Ed Stetzer just recently spoke for a previous CFR forum and Rick Warren and others have been a members of CFR board.

Southern Baptist and other denominational leaders have joined HRC and other LGBTQ funders and activist on the Obama administrations Faith Based Partnership Board as far back as 2009. The Federal Funding and grants have been flowing ever since and the commitment to “the Common Good” mantra is sung like kumbaya around the grant camp fires.

ON THE OTHER SIDE- Nothing has actually played LGBTQ leaders than the promise of new found rights while all rights including their own are eroded and vaporize. They might have a few excited years with a sense of victory until this sad reality sets in.

No other issue has had more time in the spotlight in the last three decades than gay rights. From the 1969 Stonewall Riots to the 90s era declaration by MLK Southern Christian Leadership Conference cofounder Bayard Rustin that “gay is the new black” to the modern corporate shakedowns of the LGBTQ Rights Industrial Complex members like HRC…the call for equality is here to stay and ever expanding.

PROBLEM?

The problem is that this Human Rights movement and its powerful shift in language while simultaneously breaking down and deconstructing the old boundaries defining human rights , freedoms and protections IS IN FACT allowing the construction of global goals which then own all human rights allowing them to be stripped away including those of LGBTQ identified people. The rush to subject freedom of speech and freedom of religious conviction – Christian conviction and living by conscience to these new self identifiers- especially transgenderism have and are redefining what it means to be HUMAN and erasing thousands of years of human history defining humanity itself.

In Short no one has rights once what it means to be human or male or female becomes subject to any one of a thousand optional identities which everyone is then compelled by global overseers to recognize and respect the dignity of. No one has dignity .No one has freedom. Governments and global think tanks define all of our futures and we will all be on equal ground in the gulag of the coming modern society and its prisons of words.

Christianity is the fabric of modern Western Society and is hated by those who fail to recognize it or who want to destroy it. Equating Christian biblical conservatives or Donald Trump or Constitutional Conservatives as the enemies of human dignity is only proof that the narratives driven by forces like the Council on Foreign Relations care less for the rights or futures of minorities than they do about seizing and possessing their long lusted for global controls and Global Goals. Once realized we are ALL THE LOSERS.

The unseen power in the global scam of “Human Dignity” is the great deceiver Satan himself who robbed the human race of dignity in the Garden of Eden and took us all down the path to his own and our own destruction.

The only real “Human Dignity” comes from the ONE who made us Human and who Himself BECAME Human to restore not our rights but our access to the Throne Room of God by work of the cross and the reality of the empty tomb. All other assertions by think tanks and activist and the call to other alters is pure idolatry- nothing more.

1 John 5

Knowing the True—Rejecting the False

18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

BAPTIST MEDIA PROMOTES FEMA /DHS GRANTS TO CHURCHES FOR “NON PROFIT SECURITY PROGRAM”.

LONG A DISTURBING TREND, THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST AND OTHER CONSERVATIVE EVANGELICAL CHURCHES APPETITE FOR FEDERAL MONEY IS GROWING .THIS TIME THEY APPEAR EAGER TO PARTNER WITH THE GOVERNMENT IN DEVELOPING SECURITY PROTOCOLS FOR INCEDENT RESPONSE AND “DOMESTIC TERRORISM”.

Rev Thomas Littleton

2-21-2022

Does your House of Worship (HOW classification in the grant documents) partner with the government and tax dollars for security, emergency relief efforts, community development, man-made incidents cyber crime response, and infrastructure training? If it does then it is very likely your church leadership have been enticed to do so by the lure of free money and the encouragement of denominational leaders.

Would you like to visit a new church and be actively “ASSESSED for being a potential THREAT” while DHS and FEMA trained “Greeters” chat with you in a program tool called “The Power of HELLO”? Your answers might get you reported to the federal agencies involved as a potential threat of person of interest if your politics or even preferred language does not follow that of the pastor or staffers or “trusted team” trained by and funded with government grants.

Good luck if you are seeking and visiting a new church or if you are considered a problematic member of your own.

If you do not think your “HOW” is involved or receiving such funding consider that leaders can often be less than forthcoming about such programs and that the potential for abuses are massive and growing.

LOUISIANA BAPTIST APPER PROMOTES FEMA GRANTS

FEMA announces grants, information opportunities

FEBRUARY 18, 2022

By Baptist Message staff

“WASHINGTON (LBM) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has announced it is offering opportunities for faith-based organizations to learn how to apply for funding from the 2022 Nonprofit Security Grant Program.”

“Grants are provided on a competitive process for facility hardening and other security enhancements. So, FEMA is offering a series of webinars (each will present the same information and allow open forum questions) for applicants to learn how to make the best case for their respective needs regarding protection against attacks and other emergency preparedness issues.”

“Each presentation will start at 2 p.m. (CT) and is accessible using the respective web link; ID; and passcode:”

NOTE the article then provides 5 links to FEAM Zoom Meetings for March and April for interested pastors and the link for more information on these grants and application process.

WHAT IS THE FUNDING FOR ?

According to Department of Homeland Security churches or “Houses of Worship” need to partner with federal and local agencies in security and disaster preparedness and response.

THE GRANTS ARE COMING THROUGH FEMA ACCORDING TO DHS SITE

“The US Department of Homeland Security through FEMA provides nonprofit security grants which are managed in partnership through each state’s Homeland Security Advisor’s office.  These competitive based grants provide funding to improve facility security, preparedness, and emergency planning. FEMA Grant information website.”

OBVIOUS DANGERS COME INTO PLAY WHEN CHRISTIANS ARE THE ACCUSED

The idea that new Faith Based Grant Programs come into play as Christians are being blamed in a new report for “coordinating” the riots on January 6th 2021 is a bit beyond unsettling. Given the groundswell of media and progressive efforts to blame Donald Trump and “Trump supporters” ,especially “white ” evangelicals for the events of January 6th 2021 “Insurgency” (and beyond) -the idea of recruiting pastors and church officials to be full on and paid FEMA and DHS partners is sharpening a blade that could cut both ways.

Recall this quote form the April 28th 2021 Biden first address to Congress as President

”  Setting his administration’s tone in his first speech to Congress, US President Joe Biden said Wednesday that white supremacists posed the “most lethal” terrorist threat to the United States.”

“And we won’t ignore what our intelligence agencies have determined to be the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today, white supremacist terrorism,” he said.”

This new “Report ” blaming Christians ( white Christian nationalist/ Trump Evangelicals ) for Jan 6th riots at the Capitol in 2021 is part of a sweeping campaign to vilify conservative Christians.

Further DANGERS exist :

DHS language in the FEMA grants is disturbing as the Church or House of Worship is described as a “INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES OF FAITH”. So what about those who do not fit the “inclusive ” mantra?

1- Many gullible young pastors and seminary students have already been indoctrinated with Social Justice and Critical Theories and view their own conservative congregants as “problematic politically ” and “divisive”. What is next? Pastors keeping an eye on the flock for their new partners? YES it even has a name ..”The Power of Hello”! More on that in a moment.

2- The Money from existing partnerships including FEMA, HHS, DHS and virtually every federal agency has negatively impacted the church and missions organizations often while congregants are unaware the funding and partnerships even exist. The Southern Baptist have a network of “Send Relief” centers across the country and in Puerto Rico which partner full time with federal agencies in FEMA disaster relief , community development, to import Muslim refugees, fight a variety of social ills.. many blamed on injustice and discrimination ,while promoting social justice , Diversity ,Equity & Inclusion. In Short the MONEY is driving the vision and NOT the Great Commission of Jesus. “Go into all the World and Preach the Gospel”. Matthew 16:15.

FAITH BASED PARTNERSHIP OF NT TIMES KILLED THEIR OWN MESSIAH

NOTE- a Cozy Faith Based Partnership existed between the religious leaders of Jesus day with Herod and the Roman Government. Protecting that “partnership ” and cooperation led to their demands that Jesus be arrested tried and executed !

3-Faith Based Partnerships do not allow for ministry of the Gospel and the church of “HOW” involved with such funding will be too busy in it’s FEMA roles where “any explicit religious activity” is forbidden and against the law and the grant guidelines.

How will Churches be able to do what God has commissioned them to do with the Gospel while fulfilling their roles and obligations as Government Contractors during disasters or other events impacting their communities?

4- All government understanding, training and guidelines are interfaith and have no ability to preserve or care for Christian Faith or its distinctives or God Given authority and vision. In fact it is just the opposite. Such interfaith and multi-faith efforts require the true church and it’s leadership to abandon such sectarian and divisive faith identities and become part of “is a trusted community within the inclusive, community of faith” which includes all faiths.

5- Abuse of federal and tax dollars has already been present in most Faith Based Partnerships including a $14 million dollar fraud case if this authors hometown with HHS money and Faith Based Healthcare Clinic downtown. No one has every really seemed concerned enough or made efforts to slow the flow of money and prevent the fraud and abuse .

6- ABUSE by pastors and church leadership / staff and elders is already a serious problem .So the answer to rampant abuse, coverups and corruption is MORE money and MORE power from Federal agencies?

7- For the most part people in houses of Faith have NO IDEA their “Houses of Faith” are involved in such funding let alone the dangerous programs and partnerships.

NO THIS IS BREWING UP A DISASTER OF ABUSE OF POWER AND CORRUPTION

REALITY ?

Many pastors and denominations have already been leading their churches down this deadly path of denying biblical Christianity in the name of “serving ” and “Community Development”. The church is not in danger of going down this path- it is well down this path and MORE MONEY is now paving the way for the slide into this FBP vision for the church in America . Separation of Church and State and Religious Liberty are already DONE with and over in such a model. This reality should concern both liberals and conservatives -both Christians and Atheist and everyone in between.

SOME ADDITIONAL AND DISTURBING DETAILS FOR CONSIDERATION

THE DHS AND FEMA GRANT PARTNERSHIP DETAILS

FAITH BASED COMMUNITY RESOURCES

“The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is committed to supporting efforts to maintain safe and secure houses of worship and related facilities while sustaining an open and welcoming environment. In partnership with the Department of Homeland Security Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and the Faith-Based Information Sharing and Analysis Organization, CISA provides resources that assist in securing physical and cyber infrastructure.”

“CISA aims to provide a first stop for guidance and resources that will inform FOB-HOW security-based decisions.  Included below are numerous resources, including a Guide and Self-Assessment Tool, which provide building blocks for effective safety and security programs. The resources include assessment, training, planning, exercises, and other materials focused on a wide range of man-made threats (e.g., bombing, active shooter, vehicle ramming, etc.) that could be used against the FBO-HOW community.”

THE POWER OF HELLO” GREETING IS NOW AN INVESTIGATION

“THE POWER OF HELLO” PROGRAM-

NO LONGER JUST GREETING A STRANGER TO MAKE THEM FEEL WELCOME TO CHURCH

“Every day we face a variety of potential threats, both internal and external, from hostile governments, terrorist groups, disgruntled employees and malicious introducers. Alert employees can spot suspicious activity and report it. The power is in the employee, citizen, patron, or any person who can observe and report.”

WORDS AS A TOOL?

“Used effectively, the right words can be a powerful tool. Simply saying “Hello” can prompt a casual conversation with unknown individuals and help you determine why they are there. The OHNO approach – Observe, Initiate a Hello, Navigate the Risk, and Obtain Help – helps employees observe and evaluate suspicious behaviors, and empowers them to mitigate potential risk, and obtain help when necessary.”

“SPOTTING AND REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY”

“This more focused guide promotes employee vigilance for our houses of worship stakeholders. Alert personnel can better spot suspicious activity and actively report it. Keeping houses of worship facilities secure while sustaining the open and welcoming environment necessary for peaceful congregation requires a holistic approach to security.”

GUIDEBOOKS AND TRAINING

“This guide identifies behavioral and suspicious activity indicators and provides basic personal security measures to reduce the probability of becoming a victim of an attack. “

HISTORY OF COLLABORATION DEVELOPMENT

FEMA has become a comfortable partner for many churches and denominations through Disaster Relief efforts. In fact the Southern Baptist in Louisiana where this Baptist Press report on the grants comes via its state Baptist newspaper have long been addicted to FEMA funds and partnerships since the advent of the FBP programs under Bush and Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The Obama Administration saw the CEO of the Southern Baptist Executive Committee joins in the Obama era overhaul of the FBP programs and aligned with a wide assortment of activist and progressives to find “Common Ground for the Common Good” and to of course get the grants !!!

NOW THINGS ARE ADVANCING BEYOND SERVING TO BECOMING SECURITY FORCES AND EYES AND EARS IN THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY.

CHURCHES BECOME HOMETOWN PROTECTORS AND WATCHDOGS

“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) most important mission is to protect the American people.  As part of this mission, DHS fosters collaboration between the private sector and the public sector to mitigate risk and enhance the security and resilience of public gathering sites and special events.”

“DHS provides expert counsel and recommendations on protective measures that organizations of all sizes can implement to protect facilities and venues. These tools and resources are offered free to communities because the Department recognizes that communities are the first line of defense in keeping the public safe and secure.”

“CISA’s Hometown Security program provides access to tools and resources to support community security and resilience; DHS recognizes that communities are the first line of defense in keeping the public safe and secure. For more resources to help be prepared, visit the products below.”

CHURCHES BECOME WATCHDOGS IN THE TOWN

“In collaboration with several houses of worship and community partners (i.e., governmental entities that have a responsibility in the plan, including first responders, public health officials, and mental health officials), houses of worship can take steps to plan for these potential emergencies through the creation of an emergency operations plan (EOP).”

“FAITH BASED INFORMATION SHARING AND ANALYSIS SHARING” …OR SPYING ON CONGREGANTS? WHERE IS THE LINE DRAWN IN “INCULSIVE COMMUNITIES OF FAITH ?

“The FB-ISAO is a trusted community within the inclusive, community of faith. The ISAO and its members maintain primary focus on sharing timely, actionable and relevant information with an all-hazards approach as incidents affecting the community come in the form of physical threats, cybersecurity issues, health outbreaks, and a variety of natural disasters. The FB-ISAO’s mission is to provide members with information, analysis, and capabilities to help reduce risk while enhancing preparedness, security, and resilience.”

CYBER THREATS FOR CHURCHES?

“The faith-based community can be a target of cyber crime or incidents that deny access to information, render information unusable, or even disclose the personal information of congregants in the public domain.  CISA has created the STOP.THINK.CONNECT.™ national campaign and resources for small businesses, aimed at increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering the American public to be safer and more secure online. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. We each have to do our part to keep the Internet safe. When we all take simple steps to be safer online, it makes using the Internet a more secure experience for everyone.  “

RESOURCES INCLUDE 2017 STUDY AND TRAINING VIDEOS

“In this security guide, CISA analyzed ten years of targeted attacks on houses of worship to provide context to the enterprise-wide security recommendations. The case studies reviewed are examples of the breadth of threats a house of worship faces daily.

“Numerous studies estimate there are between 300,000 and 400,000 congregations in the United States. Many people believe or think a house of worship is a safe area where violence and emergencies cannot affect them. However, violence in a house of worship is not a new phenomenon, and many facilities are developing and updating security and emergency plans and procedures to ensure the safety and security of their congregations, visitors, staff, and facilities. “

“Today, houses of worship face a unique set of safety and security challenges that weren’t there just a few years ago.  This video offers a look at those challenges and demonstrates how law enforcement, houses of worship, and other partners can work together to report suspicious behavior and raise security awareness, while forging positive relationships within the community.”

HOW COVID PAVED THE WAY

COVID PPP MONEY FLOODED THE CHURCH IN 2020

“FAITH BASED SECURITY AMID COVID 19”

“On October 27, 2020, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and the InfraGard National Capital Region held a Faith-Based Security and Safety Symposium webinar to discuss best practices and risk mitigation strategies for protecting houses of worship amid the COVID-19 pandemic.”

CONCLUSION

The one certainty with our churches taking government funding and being trained by DHS and FEMA to “keep a watchful eye” on their congregations – is that this is dangerous grand indeed and the church is giving up and losing something it can NEVER REGAIN. Meanwhile in the same era congregations are fighting against all out efforts to implement the tools of Cultural Marxism and Socialist Economics and “Social Justice” to indoctrinate our children even INSIDE our own churches. History has proven this NEVER ends well.

Pastors who are already led astray by deception in our seminaries will have no problem forming the “trusted” teams and passing out “the brown shirts” for security teams who ARE part of (DHS/FEMA wording ) ” a trusted community within the inclusive, community of faith” to use “The Power of Hello” to size up first time visitors or to keep a watchful eye out and report to the authorities about that annoying couple who NO LONGER fit into the ” trusted community within the inclusive, community of faith.”

In Short the church is no longer the church .The church has become something else and it’s mission is no longer the Gospel or the Great Commission to take the Gospel to the ends of the Earth .

Such a church is bound for and fit for nothing else than the DUNG HEAP.

Luke 14

PCA’s LIGON DUNCAN PROTEGE’ PART OF REPORT BLAMING JAN 6th RIOTS ON “CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM”

DUNCAN DISCIPLE JEMAR TISBY IS PART OF A NEW REPORT ASSERTING THAT A NETWORK OF ORGANIZATIONS LINKED TO AND LED BY “CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST” ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE “STORMING OF THE CAPITOL ” ON JANUARY 6TH 2021 AND MAINTAIN THE USE OF THE NOW DEFUNKED NARRATIVE OF AN “ISSURECTION “.

LIGON DUNCAN CLAIMS HE “AIN’T GROOVING WITH NO CULTURAL MARXISM” BUT IS JEMAR TISBY MENTOR

Even as the events of January 6th 2021 remain under investigation and after many alternative media investigations proved the narratives of CNN/ MSNBC / Capitol Hill to be false- a new group of professing Christian leaders proclaim that (white) Christians who supported Donald Trump are responsible . The new report is entitled-

CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM AND THE JANUARY 6TH 2021 INSURECTION

“The Christianity was one of the surprises
to me in covering this stuff, and it has been hugely
underestimated,” ( One of those quoted said) . “That Christian nationalism you
talk about ( in the report ) is the driving force and also the unifying force
of these disparate players. It’s really Christianity that ties it
all together.”

The Report

THE REPORT ASSERTS

“Christian nationalism was
the “driving force”
An NPR journalist who is an expert in American extremist
groups was struck by the diversity of the extremism
that day:
Am I going to see an Oath Keeper? OK, there’s an
Oath Keeper. Am I going to see the Three Percent
logo? Definitely saw some of them there. Qanon,
huge presence at this one. I saw neo-Confederates
in the crowd, all sorts of white supremacist and neoNazi insignia, too. And all of the strands of American
extremism were there in the same crowd. And what’s
wilder is that they were in the same crowd with, you
know, a grandmother from Arizona, you know, who
fervently believes in her heart that the election was
stolen and that her vote didn’t matter.193
Yes, the groups were diverse. But it was the Christian
nationalism that united them that day”

TISBY HISTORY WITH LIGON DUNCAN HEAD OF RTS

Reformed Theological Seminary

June 25, 2015

Tisby Appointed Director of AALI

“Reformed Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of Jemar Tisby (BA Notre Dame ‘02, RTS Jackson MDiv ’15, JSU MA cand, SBTS PhD cand) as the first Director of the African American Leadership Initiative (AALI) at RTS Jackson and Special Assistant to the Chancellor. As Director, Jemar will be responsible for discipling students in the program as well as recruiting and networking. As Special Assistant to the Chancellor, he will work with the Chancellor to increase African American engagement and enrollment at RTS and cultivate biblical diversity and inclusion. He begins his new position on July 1.”

“RTS Chancellor Ligon Duncan says, “I am thrilled that Jemar Tisby has accepted this key role here at RTS. He is a man I trust. I count him as a dear friend. Jemar is an educator (a former school teacher and principal) and a churchman (having served under the extraordinary Mike Campbell at Redeemer Church here in Jackson). His commitment to the inerrancy of Scripture, the Reformed faith and the gospel ground all his efforts towards our honoring the image of God in all people.”

“In recent days, African American leaders have spoken of “the Four Rs” that God has raised up in Jackson, MS to further the recent Reformed African American resurgence: Redeemer Church PCA (a dynamic multiethnic congregation mentoring numerous interns), Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Jackson State University (the first RUF campus ministry at a HBC/U, led by RTS grad Elbert McGowan), RTS and AALI, and Reformed African American Network (RAAN), co-founded by Jemar Tisby and Phillip Holmes.”

A BIT OF TISBY HISTORY AND ACTIVISM

Once fully vested in credentials as the special assistant to Chancellor Ligon Duncan, Tisby began his activism in earnest.

In 2015 PCA annual meeting he and Duncan proposed a “What is a Personal Resolution on Civil Rights Remembrance.” It did not pass but shows the team activism of Duncan and his disciple Tisby focus on race. The resolution was referred to the following year.

“The 2015 PCA General Assembly will be remembered most for the debate surrounding the Personal Resolution on Civil Rights Remembrance. Sean Lucas and Ligon Duncan signed the resolution and presented it at the Assembly.”

“While the resolution did not pass at the 2015 Assembly, it was referred to next year’s Assembly for consideration. In the meantime, Presbyteries and churches are expected to discuss issues surrounding not only the Civil Rights Movement but racial issues that continue to impact the church in the U.S.”

TISBY RADICAL TOUR

He then began to tour other events and reformed theological institutions and promote his racial narrative. One example was on the anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in 2018 where Tisby was featured to speak in meetings and during Chapel at the very conservative Covenant College on Lookout Mountain in Georgia.

SOME TISBY QUOTES

“The failure of many Christians in the South and across the nation to decisively oppose the racism in their families, communities, and even in their own churches provided fertile soil for the seeds of hatred to grow. The refusal to act in the midst of injustice is itself an act of injustice. Indifference to oppression perpetuates oppression.”
― Jemar Tisby, The Color of Compromise: The Truth about the American Church’s Complicity in Racism

“Being complicit only requires a muted response in the face of injustice or uncritical support of the status quo.”
― Jemar Tisby, The Color of Compromise: The Truth about the American Church’s Complicity in Racism

“Christians need to pay attention to how their educational choices for their own children reinforce racial and economic segregation in schools.”
― Jemar Tisby, The Color of Compromise: The Truth about the American Church’s Complicity in Racism

ONE OF THE MOST PROFOUNDLY ACCUSING OF TISBY STATEMENTS

“Complicit Christianity forfeits its moral authority by devaluing the image of God in people of color. Like a ship that has a cracked hull and is taking on water, Christianity has run aground on the rocks of racism and threatens to capsize—it has lost its integrity. By contrast, courageous Christianity embraces racial and ethnic diversity. It stands against any person, policy, or practice that would dim the glory of God reflected in the life of human beings from every tribe and tongue.”
― Jemar Tisby, The Color of Compromise: The Truth about the American Church’s Complicity in Racism

TISBY CONTRIBUTION TO THE CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM REPORT

THE PATRIOTIC WITNESS OF BLACK CHRISTIANS
Jemar Tisby, Ph.D.

“White Christian nationalists often refer to themselves as
patriots. They understand their mission as defending the
core principles of the United States and, in this sense,
they are acting as the truest Americans.
Unfortunately, the white Christian nationalist version
of patriotism is racist, xenophobic, patriarchal, and
exclusionary. Their vision of the nation conveniently puts
white people — especially men — who are politically
conservative and who make some claim of Christian
adherence at the top of the social hierarchy. Moreover,
white Christian nationalist ideas of patriotism not only
condone but celebrate the use of violent force to protect
their power, as seen in the January 6 insurrection attempt.
The Black church tradition, however, presents another
version of patriotism. In contrast to white Christian
nationalism, Black Christians have historically tended to
embrace a kind of patriotism that leads to an expansion
of democratic processes, the inclusion of marginalized
people, and a call for the nation to live up to its
foundational ideals.”

“While public attention often turns to the absurdities and
indignities promulgated by white Christian nationalists,
there are other examples of how to demonstrate a
commitment to America.”

“The historic example of Black Christians demonstrates
that a Christian commitment to God and country does not
always mean making America a white man’s country.”

CONCLUSION

LIGON DUNCAN’S PROTEGE’ IS AN EXPERT IN CRT AND PITTING BLACK AGAINST WHITE IN CHRISTIAN FAITH .

RTS ,like many seminaries are now flush with the practitoners of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality . Tisby, like his friend and cohort Jarvis Williams at Albert Mohler’s SBTS or Southern Baptist Theological Seminary are not jr professors gone rogue but sit in positions favored and appointed by the esteemed men who head these institutions.

Racism and the accusations of it are now BIG BUSINESS in the conservative evangelical circles. WHY? you may ask. Because it is one more way to exploit the conservative Christians through endless guilt and accusations and continue efforts to shame them to the left in their social , spiritual and political convictions.

Where will it all end if this effort is a success? Third way compromise which is being set up to collapse Christians into the mushy middle and a socialism flavored interfaith inclusive Christianity . It will be a false faith having a form of godliness but denying its actual power to overcome sin including racism and resulting in a church that has lost its both its savor and its will to call sinners to true repentance.

A church whose present leaders have no accountability is bound for and fit for nothing but the dunghill of progressive politics.

EXAMPLE

A recent article by serial activist/ Ligon Duncan TGC fellow & 9MARKS editor Jonathan Leeman a graduate of the Fabian Socialist London School of Economics provides the new false and deceptive third way narrative.

You can smell the progressive rot in every word of Leemans article

A BAPTIST THIRD WAY FOR POLITICAL THEOLOGY “

Author’s note: The following article is the first half of a chapter I have contributed to a book tentatively titled Explorations in Baptist Political Theology, edited by Thomas Kidd, Paul Miller, and Andrew Walker, to be published by B&H Academic in the summer of 2023. Thanks to the publisher and editors for permission to publish the excerpt here so far ahead of time.”

“The basic thesis of my chapter is, a Baptist political theology offers a third way in between integralism, theonomy, or establishmentarianism[1] on one side and classical liberalism on the other. And though I don’t make the case in what follows, I believe it offers a political theological framework for Christians generally, even though I refer to it as a Baptist political theology. A paedobaptist might disagree with any number of points here, but I’m unaware of anything within a paedobaptist theology (of any variety) that necessarily prevents him or her from taking the path I recommend.”

LEEMAN CONTINUES HIS FALSE THIRD WAY NARRATIVIE

A Baptist Third Way?

“It’s at this moment, on the horns of the public theology dilemma, that a Baptist political theology walks up and offers something of a third way. It agrees with the theonomists, establishmentarians, integralists, and advocates of a thick justice generally that justice requires both a substantive moral basis and substantive moral clarity—the ability to say, “These rights are rights and those rights are wrong.” Yet it also agrees with philosophical liberalism’s anti-utopianism and its call for institutional constraints. It is comparatively modest in the expectations it places on law and therefore the power of government. Instead, it focuses first on regenerate local churches as the beginning of a righteous and just political life, which is precisely what makes it a Baptist political theology.”

WARNING DO NOT BUY THE SNAKE OIL OF THIRD WAY POLITICS – THEY ALWAYS PROVE A FAILED PATH TO COMPROMISE AND RETAIN NOTHING OF THE BIBLICAL CONVICTIONS OF THE PARTICIPANTS WHO CONSUME THEM. AMERICA’S ILLS WILL NOT BE HEALED BY THIS SNAKE OIL.

LIGON DUNCAN AND OTHER THIRD WAY CHRISTIAN LEADERS DISOWN YOUR LEGION OF PORTEGE’ OR OWN YOUR UNBIBLICAL PROGRESSIVE COMPROMISE.

1ST PETER 2:1 1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,

THE PROBLEM WITH ALLBERRY, SHAW/ LIVING OUT ADN WHY THEY ARE NOT “TRUSTED SOURCES” FOR CHURCHES,FAMILES, KIDS.

Living Out has remained since it first appeared around 2013 as part of the Church of England’s “Two year conversations ” to move the church toward embracing the coming (at the time) legalization of gay marriage by the UK Parliament. These organized and orchestrated “Conversations ” were led and organized and promoted nationally by former Health Minister Sir Joseph Pilling.

https://www.churchofengland.org/news-and-media/news-and-statements/pilling-report-published

Living Out with a herd of gay identified activist priest like Allberry and Shaw were soon making the rounds to sell the talking points of compliance via a massive national “Social Change” effort which resulted in Allberry’s best selling book “Is God Anti Gay ” and a website full of testimonies, conversations, articles , videos and “resources” all claiming to be from the conservative and biblically orthodox side of the conversations due to its sole reliance on “Celibacy” and the new change agent language of “Same Sex Attracted “. SSA language was drafted by the interfaith work of the APA and the international human rights organizations with evangelical partners like the 2010 Lausanne Movements global cabal. Allberry admitted to this writer in 2013 that the SSA language was an alternative term to the word “gay ” or “gay Christian” . So SSA is an admitted alternative way to self identify as a gay Christian without causing controversy.

Celibate but still LGBTQ identified was then touted deep commitment to “biblical sexual ethic” while still promoting Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity or SOGI talking points of the psychological and global human rights change agents. The ” SSA embracing and committing to celibacy ” stance developed a “Side B ” alternative position to the “Side A ” Fully Affirming LGBTQ Christianity which has completely disabled entire denominations like the Presbyterian Church and many others is America from presenting clarity on and condemning the social change efforts in their midst.

SSA but Celibate is the modern version of the “non practicing homosexual” narrative used in mainline churches like the COE/Episcopal, Methodist , Lutheran etc. a generation ago which ending in the inclusion, membership, marriage and ordination of LGBTQ identified and split many movements and denominations repeatedly since that time. SSA or Non Practicing is certainly not long term sustainable position nor is inclusion and ordination a successful growth strategy for any church or movement. History bears this out 100%.

TIM KELLER THE LAUSANNE SNAKE OIL SALESMAN ALLBERRY’S AMERICAN AGENT

Tim Keller before 2010 was a relatively unknown pastor in New York City who had become the darling of other Lausanne affiliates like Ed Stetzer and Christianity Today. Keller had been promoted from a small pulpit in VA to plant a “flagship church ” for the conservative but going progressive Presbyterian Church in America. Keller had formed The Gospel Coalition around 2006 with D A Carson and it became the leading edge of the progressive political change efforts in American evangelicalism. In 2010 Keller and Carson adopted an APA interfaith Whitepaper on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity from the APA most valued workman in the development of religious narratives on SOGI. This paper became the Gold Standard from which these progressive efforts would be based. Lausanne Movement where Keller was the keynote speaker in 2010 adopted a similar set of 5 whitepapers with the same SOGI/ SSA narrative and language.

SAM ALLLBERRY ADN LIVINNG OUT

WHERE DOES ALLBERRY COME IN?

Once the conversation was in full swing in the UK ordered by the UK government to make its state church compliant with the coming legalization of gay marriage , Allberry’s Living Out and book were introduced tot eh American church via his book and multiple conference appearances in the states. These would lead to Allberry becoming a TGC editor on all things LGBTQ. Living Out resources were being used as other resources and conversation guides were appearing at the same time from HRC and other openly left and pro LGBTQ organizations.

Mark Yarhouse , the APA interfaith narrative developer who wrote the Whitepaper for TGC also became a key figure in the work of Living Out .At the same time another less known but emerging figure Nate Collins reviewed and promoted Sam Allberrys book for TGC.

NOTE Nate Collins was working at this same time to help collapse the “ex gay ministry” Exodus International which were set efforts of ministries to help people out of homosexuality on a collision course with their own demise as discriminatory , “harmful especially to LGBTQ youth” and demands for all so called “reparative therapies ” to be outlawed. Collins was a Student at the Southern Baptist flagship seminary SBTS under Albert Mohler and Russell Moore who had just ascended to the head of the Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission pushing a rabidly progressive message. By 2018 Collins was teaching New Testament at SBTS for Albert Mohler while launching the radical and divisive pro LGBT+ Flourishing in the church movement called “REVOICE”.

So Collins is about to become a front page operative once Sam Allberry and Living Out promoted their upcoming London Conference with Tim and Kathy Keller in June of 2018 and “for our American audience – Revoice (Nate Collins) LGBT+ Thriving in the Church. This is also the same meeting were Allberry and Living Out ,with the help of Kathy Keller, introduced their LGBTQ Church Inclusion Audit which Ms Keller affirmed to be “brilliant ” and that she was “taking it straight back to their church in New York” to be put into use.

So again -in 2013 Living Out surfaces as part of the UK State Church compliance effort and Allberry publishes his book which Keller’s TGC with the help of the future founder of Revoice and present participate work with Exodus the Ex Gay ministry collapsing- promotes Allberry and his new book to American Evangelicals.

TGC / CHRISTIAN LIVING

Is God Anti-Gay?

JULY 15, 2013  |  NATE COLLINS

” In this brief but important book, Is God Anti-Gay? And Other Questions about Homosexuality, the Bible, and Same-Sex Attraction, Sam Allberry combines pastoral wisdom, authentic autobiography, and sound exegesis to provide Christians with a helpful introduction to the topic of homosexuality.”

“From the first few pages, it’s clear the greatest strength of the book is its simple readability. Despite the complexity of the subject matter, Allberry, associate pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Maidenhead, England, distills the most important points of his discussion into five short chapters. Together with an autobiographical introduction and conclusion, these chapters provide a wise way forward for Christians to be a faithful and compassionate witness to the gospel in our society. …” Nate Collins (read remainder at TGC )

KELLER’S TGC PALS ALBERT MOHLER AND RUSSELL MOORE LAUNCH ALLBERRY STATESIDE VIA ERLC CONFERENCE IN 2014

By 2014 Southern Baptist new “Ethics ” progressive Russell Moore placed Sam Allberry into Orbit by having him and an American herd of self identified SSA/ Gay activist like Rosaria Butterfield , Jackie Hill Perry and close to a dozen others speaking at his ERLC Conference on “The Gospel ,Homosexuality” and The Future of Marriage”. Few knew what was coming in the US regarding the law , the Supreme Court and Gay Marriage in less than a year but clearly some of these evangelical leaders did. Just like in the UK the church needed to be led into compliance with the coming laws of the land.

In this conference Albert Mohler, who was both Collins boss at SBTS and Moore’s former boss who had promoted him into the ERLC position. confessed to and APOLOGIZED for being “Wrong about Sexual Orientation and having denied it’s existence. This placed one of the leading ,highly regarded theologians in America in lockstep with the APA, Mark Yarhouse interfaith SOGI narrative, TGC Whitepaper by Yarhouse, Lausanne and Kellers 5 Whitepaers, the UK Parliament , Sam Allberry/ Living Out , His own SBTS rising star in the LGBTQ narrative Nate Collins, his activist head of the ERLC ,Russell Moore ….AND the coming Obergefell Supreme Court decision.

WHO KNEW ?

MORE ON LIVING OUTS NEW CHILDREN FOCUED EFFORT AND PARTNERS

FAITH IN KIDS

“Too often churches are losing the hearts and minds of our children. Too many of the children who attend church grow up knowing Bible facts and a long list of Christian behaviours but without a love for Jesus Christ. Faith in Kids wants to see more children engaging with and responding to God personally. Children who are having their hearts and minds informed by Christ’s words, by God’s grace, will grow into teenagers who want to live for Him.”

“Faith in Kids focuses on those who lead the children’s ministry in their local Church. We want to build their confidence and grow their vision to see how vital their role is. These key individuals, in turn, can then be a catalyst for change in countless children’s lives through Sunday School leaders, parents and church leaders. “

“The purpose of Faith in Kids is to resource, equip and support those who oversee the children’s ministry in their local church, because they can reach countless Sunday School leaders, parents and church leaders. We also encourage and equip parents to open the Bible and speak about faith in Christ with their children at home.”

  • Faith in Kids resources with materials that build skills in leaders and build love for Christ in children.
  • Faith in Kids resources leaders and parents with Bible-based materials that are easy to use and that encourage children to grow in their love for God.
  • Faith in Kids equips leaders with events and training materials that build skills and confidence. We run family activity weekends to help parents open the Bible with their children.
  • Faith in Kids encourages leaders and parents to persevere in teaching the Bible to children with regular updates, blogs and visits.”

SOME OF THE BOOKS USED IN THE FAITH IN KIDS/ LIVING OUT EFFORT

“PLAUSIBILITY PROBLEM

:THE CHURCH AND SAME SEX ATTRACTION “

“It’s all very well to say that the Bible is clear when it talks about homosexuality. But is it realistic Isn’t it unrealistic and unfair to those who struggle with this issue Doesn’t it condemn them to loneliness, a lack of fulfilment and the loss of basic human satisfactions like sex and marriage Is what the church teaches a plausible way of life Ed Shaw experiences same-sex attraction, and yet he is committed to what the Bible says and what the church has always taught about marriage and sex. In this honest book, he shares his pain in dealing with these issues – but, at the same time, shows us that obedience to Jesus is ultimately the only way to experience life to the full. He shows that the Bible’s teaching seems unreasonable not because of its difficulties, but because of missteps that the church has often taken in its understanding of the Christian life. We have been shaped by the world around us, and urgently need to re-examine the values that drive our discipleship. Only by doing this in the light of the Bible, can we make sense of its call on the lives of those who are attracted to their own sex. We have so often made Jesus’ way sound like a bad deal. Only by reclaiming the reality of gospel discipleship, can we truly see and appreciate that life in Christ is the best way for any human life to be lived = whomever we are attracted to.”

ALSO

PURPOSEFUL SEXUALITY

“If you’re a human being, then you’re a sexual being. But what is your sexuality for? That’s a question we often struggle to answer because we find it so hard to talk about our powerful and personal sexual feelings – perhaps especially if we’re Christians.”

“Ed Shaw explores the Bible’s deepest answers to this question in ways that will help everyone to appreciate and enjoy God’s purposeful gift of sexuality – whatever your past history, current situation or sexual orientation might be.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

“Ed Shaw is the bestselling, award-winning author of The Plausibility Problem: The Church and Same-sex Attraction (IVP UK), launched in the USA as Same-sex Attraction and the Church, where it was voted Gospel Coalition’s Top Book in the Christian Living Category. Translations have appeared in Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Ed is Pastor of Emmanuel City Church, Bristol, and part of the editorial team at http://www.livingout.org.”

“Member of the General Synod of the Church of England and a member of the Archbishops’ Pastoral Advisory Group. As part of http://www.livingout.org, Ed has a growing national and international profile, having spoken on R4’s Today programme and had articles and reviews published by Gospel Coalition. He has been part of Creation Fest, Keswick Convention, New Day, New Wine, Vineyard Leaders and Word Alive, and has done speaking tours in the US and Australia.”

“The purpose of this video is to evaluate the teaching of Dr Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, on the subject of homosexuality. Mohler is encouraging the Church to embrace the issue of sexual orientation, a psychological concept that is entirely without biblical warrant. He accuses evangelicals of having lied about the nature of homosexuality and of practicing a form of homophobia. He fully supports the ministry of same-sex attracted Sam Allberry, a Church of England priest. His position is similar to that of the gay agenda, which seeks to normalize homosexuality in society and the Church.”

AND CATHY MICKLES ARTICLE ON ES WILLIAMS WORK

https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=31433

“Dr. Williams states, “As we shall see in this video, Mohler’s position today is similar to that of the gay agenda, which seeks to normalize homosexuality.” Williams also points out that in spite of a 2005 position held by Mohler declaring that the modern concept of sexual orientation opens the door for the homosexual lobby to reinterpret the meaning of Scripture, a decade later Mohler has changed his mind; we see a compromised man who radically changed his position. Similarly, the video shows that Mohler uses the language and tactics of the progressive left to accuse those who disagree by calling them “homophobic.”

FAITH IN KIDS PROMISESS RELIABLE “CHRIST CENTERED RERSOURCES ” FOR YOU ,YOUR CHURCH AND YOUR KIDS

“Faith in Kids was created out of a growing demand for trusted, Bible-based, Christ-centered resources. For many years we have been sharing resources to an increasing number of children’s workers so we decided that it was time to do more! A growing team of children’s workers and volunteers are working to develop both the website and its resources.”

“We present Christ to children because he told his followers to let the children come to him. We want to do what he said!”

REALITY CHECK FOR FAITH IN KIDS AND UK PARENTS AND PASTORS

Living Out might be popular in the UK but it and Sam Allberry/ Ed Shaw’s activism and dishonest shell games with the American Church have fully discredited them in the US. Allberry became a key speaker with and darling of the now disreputable and exposed perversions of Ravi Zacharias and his RZM ministry .Allberry and Shaw repeatedly changed and removed their posting and social media and even altered the horrific language of their LGBTQ Inclusion Church Audit. Allberry EVEN had to present himself and his Living Out web pages content up for public review BY The Gospel Coalition and one of its progressive leaders Jonathan Leeman and provide disclosure -even submitting Living Out to an audit of its own and removal and much of its content after 6 years. This took place after it was revealed by slow but awakened Baptist pastor who had been promoting Living Out and Allberry but happened to take the time to research its content. By 2019 Allberry and Living Out were discredited in most circles of American Evangelicalism with the exception of those who only cared for full affirmation of LGBTQ rights in the church no matter how much deception and manipulations were taking place. There are people like that who do “self identify” as Christians -even as biblically orthodox but this would be by their own metrics not Gods or his word.

CONCLUSION – MILLSTONES AWAIT AROUND THE TWISTED PATH FOR LIVING OUT AND FAITH IN KIDS AND ALL WHO OFFEND THESE LITTLE ONES .

For those like Living Out and their new partnership with Faith in Kids -Some of Jesus most stern warnings come for those who would harm or offend or pervert the faith of His little ones.

LUKE 17

Jesus Warns of Offenses

17 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no [a]offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should [b]offend one of these little ones.”

FRANCIS COLLINS BIO LOGOS USED TO PROMOTE COVID NARRATIVE SINCE PANDEMIC BEGAN.

TIM KELLER AND FRANCIS COLLINS HAVE BEEN SELLING THE SNAKE OIL OF TEMPLETON FOUNDATION TO MERGE FAITH AND SCIENCE / EVOLUTION AND CREATION FOR DECADES. NOW THEY DRIVE HOME COVID SCIENCE OF THE PANDEMIC INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.

Rev Thomas Littleton

1/30/2022

Francis Collins now former head of NIH founded Bio Logos Foundation in 2007 to “further conversations” about resolving the conflicts of Christian Faith with modern “science” by focusing on a merger of Faith and Science at the alters of theistic evolution. According to a 2014 article Bio Logos had by that time reached an annual budget of over $9 million dollars and was promoting over 37 distinct projects ” in the United States and worldwide to help bridge the gap between traditional Christian beliefs on Intelligent Design and modern theories of evolution”

( Note :Creation Care aka Climate Change , psychology, black holes, social sciences and a broad based “religion” interfaith approach are also favorite topics of Bio Logos. Christian apologetics have also been overrun with this effort. )

COLLINS AND THE PANDEMIC VIA THE BIO LOGOS OUTLET

Bio Logos is just part of the an extensive interfaith and religion effort of the Templeton Foundation who administers some $150 million dollars annually (by 2016) and awards “the annual Templeton Prize for achievements in the field of spirituality, including those at the intersection of science and religion.” More on Templeton and the annual prize later.

TIM KELLER ENDORSEMENT AND INVOLVEMENT IN BIO LOGOS WAS KEY TO ITS POPULARITY

Tim Keller

“Many people today, both secular and Christian, want us to believe that science and religion cannot live together. Not only is this untrue, but we believe that a thoughtful dialogue between science and faith is essential for engaging the hearts and minds of individuals today. BioLogos provides an important first step towards that end.”Tim Keller, Pastor & Author

“BioLogos affirms evolutionary creation as a core commitment”

FUNDING FOR BIO LOGOS IS FROM TEMPLETON FOUNDATION

John Templeton Foundation Logo

Our Vision & Purpose

“Our vision is to become a global catalyst for discoveries that contribute to human flourishing.”

“Our purpose is to enable people to create lives of purpose and meaning.”

Our Impact

“The work supported by the John Templeton Foundation crosses disciplinary, religious, and geographical boundaries. We fund work on subjects ranging from black holes and evolution to creativity, forgiveness, and free will. We also encourage civil, informed dialogue among scientists, philosophers, theologians, and the public at large.”

“Our grantees produce field-leading scholarship across the sciences, theology, and philosophy. From probing gravitational waves to updating the modern evolutionary synthesis, they have contributed to major discoveries in the basic sciences. Other grantees have opened critical new topics to scientific investigation, including prayer, gratitude, immortality, and imagination.”

COLLINS EVEN WON THE TEMPLETON PRIZE FOR 2020

“My name is Deborah Haarsma. I’m an astronomer and President of BioLogos.

“I am thrilled to congratulate Dr. Francis Collins on receiving the Templeton Prize.”

“Francis is well deserving. He’s a world class scientist, devout Christian, caring doctor, and public servant.  I’m honored to call him a friend. We both love science and math, like second order differential equations… But I want to focus on the impact Francis has had on others. Think of the many patients who have been healed because of his genomics research. Think of the countless lives that will be saved by the coming COVID vaccine. And think of all those whose hearts and minds have been changed on science and faith.”

Templeton thinks Collins work is worthy of the highest praise especially in light of the then “coming vaccines”.

But never mind ethics on the part of guys like Ed Stetzer, Rick Warren, Russell Moore, Walter Kim (NAE) and others INCLUDING BIO LOGOS from jumping on board the “Covid Collaborative ” and joining in with dark money from Facebook and other organizers and collaborators who would play a key role in hiding facts and suppressing the exchange of information even as Collins and Fauci faced the hard realities of their role in “gain of function” funding, and behind the scenes emails to select what “Science ” is made available for public consumption…including for Christians BY so called Christian leaders.

PROMOTING THE COVID JAB FOR CHRISTMAS

A MULTITUDE OF EVANGELICAL LEADERS ARE JOINING IN ON PANDEMIC FUNDING AND PROMOTION OF DISTURBING NARRATIVES.

CONCLUSION:

Bio Logos has sought to prime Christians to place more faith in scientific trends and politics than in the Word of God. Some have been trained now to subject the Bible to these agenda driven trends. Templeton’s , whose funding is behind Bio Logos, agenda is not only to promote the diversion of trust in the name of Christian faith BUT to only promote religions who “adhere or subscribe to no sacred text”. Since 2007 it has remained the head of the spear in Christian circles for this controversial effort. Now the Pandemic reveals how dangerous and tainted this long term effort can be.

Many key evangelical leaders seem determined to remain lockstep with “Global Goals” sustainability , Covid’s new global controls, climate change, massive (planned) human migration in the name of refugees, SOGI false information for sexuality and gender, racial unrest driven by CRT and a host of other progressive political dream agendas including luring Christians to subject Biblical Faith to theoretical and even politicized “science”. Now as more of the truth unfolds and rises above all efforts to refuse it a hearing – these leaders can no longer convince any thinking Christian who reads the Word of God that following these destructive and oppressive goals is anything akin to the work of the Gospel. Jesus is NOT a global activist nor is His “Good News” a tool for global politics or oppression of the truth.

Instead beloved-

Proverbs 23:23 “Buy the truth, and do not sell it,
Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.”

Is This The Evangelical Deep State?- Part Two The Evangelical Road to Serfdom

Republishing these articles from 2017 /2018 by request. First published in SBC Today, these revelations of infiltration ,subversion, false vision casting and dirty money shook the Evangelical Deep State and began it’s exposure. See of how Faith Based Partnerships and Social Justice driven “Economics” for the “Common Good ” and “Human Flourishing ” came straight out of Frankfurt School inspired and Vatican led think tanks STRAIGHT into conservative evangelical seminaries and pulpits. Thankfully this long hidden compromise has and continues to be exposed and is faltering.

By. Rev. Thomas Littleton

Silhouettes of three figures meeting among a group of columns

Part One of this article was published on December 18, 2017. Over a month later, interest in the issues raised in the article remains high, and the questions over associations of evangelical leaders like Al Mohler, Tim Keller, Russell Moore, and Marvin Olasky continue to linger. Efforts to dismiss the well documented findings as the “ramblings of a crazed conspiracy theorist” by Ed Stetzer and others have failed to deflect attention on the facts. There are serious problems with the Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission and The Gospel Coalition’s rhetoric and common source of communications with Libertarian think tank, The Acton Institute. SBC and PCA pastors and ministers who have followed the Reformed theological leaders in these circles have little if any clue that they were actually following Jesuit / Catholic Liberation Theology and social policy wrapped in historic Reformed Protestant teaching.

Acton in Evangelical Seminaries

Acton Institute, mentioned in Part One of this research, is headed by Father Robert Sirico, who has a history as a radical “homosexual faith activist.” Acton Institute is celebrated by Philanthropy  Roundtable as a key player since the 1990s in synthesizing religion and democratic capitalism. Acton’s blog boasts such bold goals as rethinking Liberation Theology and Marxism from updated and fresh approaches of application, while oddly accusing Trump supporters of folk Marxism. The ironies run much deeper.

According to the “The New Evangelical Social Engagement” by Brian Steensland and Philip Goff, Acton Institute founder Father Sirico, “’combining free market approaches with Catholic social thought,’ argues that ‘there is no social justice without economic freedom …Instead of a vast welfare state,  social justice is about people fulfilling their responsibilities in justice to their neighbor.’ Therefore, with the support of the Kern Family Foundation, Acton has sponsored curriculum initiatives at thirteen evangelical seminaries.” (p. 63)

These seminaries include Dr. Albert Mohler’s Southern Seminary which sponsors The Commonweal Project.  Note the “Social Gospel” with a strong emphasis on “Social Justice” in this initiative in the videos by Mohler and Os Guinness.  With the help of Acton Institute and over a dozen partners of the same persuasions, Dr. Mohler appears to be endorsing a Rethink of Marxist social policy, while partners like “Poverty Cure .org” – an Acton offshoot – are marketing a RETHINK of Missions to a ”Social Justice” mandate.

Other Reformed seminaries, including the PCA’s Reformed Theological Seminary and Beeson Seminary (now on its third Kern grant since 2015), are also using the Acton-inspired, Kern-funded Social Justice curriculum programs which are designed around the “Faith and Work” ideology famously touted by Tim Keller. Some seminary partners have possibly jumped on board with the popular ideology and trendy nature of the Social Justice mantra; however, “rethinking Liberation Theology” and a fresh approach to “Marxist-inspired ideology” on the part of Sirico / Acton and Mohler / Commonweal Project is a bridge too far to simply dismiss as poorly thought out eagerness for cultural engagement on their part.

The Kern Family Foundation

The Kern Family Foundation which is very active in funding education at every level is considered to be a well-anchored Christian funding source. However, the Kern website shows that their partners in K-12 “Bright Minds Good Hearts“ program funding include organizations like Teach for America, whose work in K-12 public education includes a well-defined  focus on pro-LGBTQ policy with radical LGBTQ organizations  like Human Rights Campaign, Campus Pride, The Trevor Network and the most radical Gay and Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Teach for America also promotes Gay Pride Month with GLSEN in public schools each June, even celebrating the notorious “Dear Colleague Letter” – the pro- transgender bathroom directive from the Obama Whitehouse in May 2016. The current focus of all such pro-LGBTQ efforts in public schools is on showcasing LGBTQ History.

Kern also shows its partnership with liberal education giant Public Broadcasting System (PBS) and the Frankfurt School inspired “Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture,” which is a major influence on Tim Keller and others in the Civilitas Group and Cultural Engagement camp. When asked about the funding in an email exchange on January 15th, the Kern Family Foundation denied the funding in the thirteen evangelical seminaries though it is widely touted in the news, press releases and on the websites (of Southern Seminary’s “Commonweal Project” for example) but Kern contacts did link us to Acton University’s site and confirmed the Acton / Kern Curriculum is in five evangelical universities as well.

Acton Institute and the Confusing Messages of Albert Mohler

Acton Institute’s and Father Sirico’s attachment to the conservative political and religious community is disturbing to Liberals as well. According to a defender of Classical Liberalism, Sirico’s Acton Institute was and is heavily supported by Atlas Foundation, which had been a trusted ally of the Left until it began taking Conservative money.  Sirico’s work with Atlas was not a problem because of his homosexual faith activist history which is recounted in detail in the research. The concern for the Liberal researcher is the recent drift of both Atlas and Acton toward the Right from their historic  “Libertarian values”—which pose no threat to the social agenda of the Left. Sirico had gained the confidence of the Left:

“By 1977 Sirico was listed by the LA Times as the ‘organizer of Libertarians for Gay Rights. When it was later revealed that the ACLU once cooperated with the FBI in building files on radicals Sirico told the Times: ‘We turn out to be to the left of the ACLU.’”

Incidentally, the Liberal article exposes Father Sirico as being “back in the closet”:

“Acton officials got heavily involved in the debate on gay marriage. With Sirico back in the closet the position they have been taking has been to pander to bigots on the Religious Right.”

“When or if Sirico tried to go back into the closet is hard to determine. But certainly by the time he was taking money from the anti-gay Templeton network it would have been prudent for him to be closeted. Certainly by 1997 Sirico was criticizing another priest for telling his congregation that he was gay. Sirico told the Grand Rapids Press that honesty about the matter was ‘irresponsible’ and that the priest should have kept it a secret between him and a few close friends.”

“Father Sirico is a perfect example. He went from a hard-core libertarian to promoting just the economic agenda. He then started covering up his past and went so far as to try to go back into the closet in regards to his own homosexuality. From pioneering gay marriage, to being silent on it, he now heads an organization with notorious antigay bigots who openly attack gay equality in the name of his organization.” Father Sirico is not the only one who appears to be living in contradiction to himself.

Father Sirico is a Catholic priest who views his Jesuit-inspired Catholic social policy as being “theological” and NOT political. Dr. Mohler says the Catholic Church teaches a false gospel: “During a 2000 television interview on Larry King Live, Mohler said of the Holy See and the Pope: ‘As an evangelical, I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is a false church. It teaches a false gospel. And the Pope himself holds a false and unbiblical office.’”

And during a March 13, 2014 podcast of The Briefing: “Evangelical Christians simply cannot accept the legitimacy of the papacy and must resist and reject claims of papal authority. To do otherwise would be to compromise biblical truth and reverse the Reformation.”

Dr. Mohler has either changed his views on core Catholic teaching or is contradicting himself to the spiritual detriment of the students at Southern Seminary and of the Southern Baptist Convention. These statements are from 2013 which was the same year that the Acton Institute / Kern Family Foundation launched the Catholic Social Justice Curriculum in Southern and 12 other evangelical seminaries.

Moreover, Dr. Mohler “has denounced Pope Francis for moving the Catholic Church to the left and failing, during his address to Congress last autumn, to denounce abortion and gay marriage with the necessary zeal.” Pope Francis being the First Jesuit Pope would certainly support the curriculum of Acton and, true to long-term Jesuit efforts to undermine the Reformation, would be proud to see it in Southern and other Reformed seminaries. Pope Francis also shares the political leanings of a Marxist history with Rev. Sirico.

What does Dr. Mohler think of Marxism?  From his blog, “No, Marxism has been as wrong as it is possible for a theory to be wrong. Addicted to ‘the self-deification of mankind,’ it continually bears witness to what Kolakowski calls ‘the farcical aspect of human bondage.’ Why then was Marxism like moral catnip–not so much among its proposed beneficiaries, the working classes, but among the educated elite? ‘One of the causes of the popularity of Marxism among educated people,’ Kolakowski notes, ‘was the fact that in its simple form it was very easy.’ Marxism–like Freudianism, like Darwinism, like Hegelianism–is a ‘one key fits all locks’ philosophy. All aspects of human experience can be referred to the operation of a single all-governing process which thereby offers the illusion of universal explanation.” Dr. Mohler’s partner Father Sirico describes his journey as “I went to seminary in the early 1980s, when a baptized form of Marxism was next to godliness. When you take all of that into account, my sojourn on the left has about it almost the inevitability of Marxist dialectic.”

Even if Father Sirico and Acton Institute are now truly Libertarian, does this make them compatible partners with the conservative Reformed Christian SBC, ERLC, TGC or Southern and other Seminaries? Mohler has argued that”  libertarianism is idolatrous and as a comprehensive world view or fundamental guiding principle for human life is inconsistent with Christian ideals. He is a proponent of personal liberty, but believes such liberties can run into problems when applied in the political sphere. The more limited economic libertarianism, on the other hand, Mohler says can be consistent with the “comprehensive world view that Christianity puts forward.” (Moody Radio, 3/5/2016). Again to Sirico, his and Acton’s social policy is theological not political or solely economic.

Given the end all be all assertions of the Social Justice mantra to answer human need and provide “Human Flourishing” by Mohler and Sirico, Russell Moore and Tim Keller, Ed Stetzer and every published messenger boy of The Gospel Coalition, are they not all offering the “illusion of universal explanation” in utter contradiction to the Gospel they espouse to be at its center? For all the shaming TGC, ERLC, Keller, Carter and others have done to evangelicals for supporting President Trump and Judge Roy Moore (the Alabama Senate race), it may be fairer to ask if the truly conservative evangelicals and reformed individuals in the SBC and PCA can survive the influence of ERLC, TGC, and the Acton influence in Reformed seminaries? In the case of the Alabama Senate race, Tim Keller, Russell Moore, and Joe Carter have once again aided and abetted the LGBTQ Human Rights Campaign to empower Leftists like Senator Doug Jones who beat Roy Moore the Alabama Senate election.

Father Sirico and Acton Institute have also had a very strong connection to the U.S. State Department, the Intelligence Community and the Vatican. On the Acton Institute Advisory Board was Jesuit Cardinal Avery Dulles, who was “the son of a prominent New York Presbyterian family whose father was John Foster Dulles, Secretary of State under President Eisenhower and whose uncle was Allen Dulles, director of the CIA. “…he had been a convert to Catholicism during his years at Harvard University after having declared himself an agnostic in his first year there….In 2001…Fr. Dulles was elevated by Pope John Paul II to being a Prince of the Church, Avery Cardinal Dulles. He was the first American theologian to be given that title without being made a bishop first.” This history as well make some nervous.

What Color is the Money; Any Green in The Rainbow?

Some would say that, as Christians eagerly seek to engage the world around us, it is easy in today’s culture to inadvertently partner with or fund organizations whose mission may be antithetical to our own. It may fairly be asserted that the motives of some of those involved are only to seek and avail themselves of any open door to inject Christian influence in important areas like education. However, organizations like the ERLC and The Gospel Coalition in partnership with Acton Institute, urge Christians to “disengage the culture” from historic Christian views on moral issues like gay marriage, LGBTQ inclusion, immigration reform, drug legalization, etc., while they are instead expected to “Seek Social Justice”* as the new approach to the all important mission of the Church.  (*example of Acton influence on the same partners in 2010)

IRONICALLY, today’s young pastors in The Gospel Coalition and believers who follow them are trying to escape being viewed as Christian Right Wingers, and choosing to be Social Justice Warriors instead. As they strive to “love well” while “doing community,” they are actually falling for far Left Wing social policy which, in this case, is written by the right wing Heritage Foundation and Libertarian Jesuit / Catholic Acton Institute. It can really give one vertigo to watch the convergence of these political operatives on the unsuspecting Evangelical community.

Considering Libertarian Acton and its founder – Catholic priest, Father Sirico (who refuses to discuss his homosexuality when interviewed) – and millions in funding from the Kern Family Foundation for radical pro-LGBTQ partner, Teach for America, can we simply take their inclusive curriculum in 13 Evangelical seminaries, like RTS, Southern Seminary, Beeson and others, at conservative face value?

Are the commandments and warnings in both Old and New Testaments – “be not unequally yoked with believers” for “two cannot walk together except they are agreed” – null and void for today? Can we walk with God on mission when we and our partners in the quest have so little we agree upon?

More on Why Richard Florida so WRONG? Must the Church Create Bohemia to Succeed?

Among Dr. Mohler’s devout fan base there is a common thread of justifying his every action. In Deep State Part One, the most commonly disputed issue among the many respondents concerned Mohler’s promotion of the books and theories of the pro-LGBTQ Urban Planner, Richard Florida.

“Florida’s work is not without its critics, but the basic argument he presents is difficult to refute. For the intelligent Christian reader, the book raises several issues. The clustering of creative populations seems to correlate with areas evangelical churches have found difficult to reach.” In Richard Florida’s books, Rise of the Creative Class and Who is Your City, “Creative Class” is a euphemism for “LGBTQ” community. Florida’s theory is that economically disadvantaged cities such as Detroit would experience revival if they were injected with the “creativity” of the LGBTQ community.

The following additional information should put an end to any justification of Florida’s failed ideology of “the Creative Class.” Here are the facts of Florida’s radical pro-LGBTQ concepts.

The main inspiration and mentor for Richard Florida is Marxist urban activist, Jane Jacobs, who was instrumental in the gay rights movement in both New York City and Toronto. Jacobs is a central figure celebrated in LGBTQ urban history. Today LGBTQ history walks are done in her name in cities internationally.

As Senior Editor of The Atlantic Monthly and a co-founder and editor at large of “CityLab,” Richard Florida tracks “Homophobia” by “Mapping” the places it is most prevalent globally. This information is then used to strong-arm cities and regions into taking a more affirming stance on LGBTQ inclusion with grant and economic development funds.

Census number Crunching is done by Richard Florida protégé, Gary Gates of the Williams Institute for LGBTQ Inclusion and Advancement.  Gates submitted a brief in the Obergefell same-sex marriage decision which was cited in Justice Kennedy’s pivotal vote and opinion which made gay marriage legal in the United States, in spite of its complete lack of Constitutional Standing. Gates and Williams take Florida’s Creative Gay Class assertions to major places of influence, including census data gathering. The 2020 U.S. Census is a major focus for this work with Florida’s inclusive goals.

LGBTQ activists remain loyal to Richard Florida’s ideology for obvious reasons. However, Evangelicals who endorse the LGBTQ agenda are essentially asserting that the Church could thrive in Sodom and Gomorrah today if we would only apply the “wisdom of Richard Florida.” Dr. Mohler, Tim Keller, Ed Stetzer and others in The Gospel Coalition need to explain why they encourage our church planters and ministers and Christians in general toward these ideas in any way!

Acton and the Road to Serfdom: A Closer Look

Valid concerns exist about Acton Institute and the Reformed camp of Evangelicals now guiding the ERLC and The Gospel Coalition, the most obvious of which is the Catholic theology behind Acton’s Social Policy. According to the 2017 Acton conference in Rome, the social justice and economic policies Father Sirico is introducing to Reformed seminaries is a Jesuit contribution and Catholic historians openly assert that the mission of the Jesuits is to undermine the Reformation. Do TGC and ERLC leadership need to be reminded why the Reformation took place and that 2017 marks its 500th anniversary? Did the Reformation not involve theological differences and a divide that is even more profound today than it was 500 years ago?

Acton also has the issue of its being a Libertarian, not a Conservative, political think tank. Do TGC and ERLC claim to promote Conservative theology? If we live out the Gospel should not our social and political engagement involve sharing the Gospel at the core? Why do TGC and the ERLC consistently land on the progressive (left of center) on every single social issue of concern to biblically faithful Christians? This is a very fair question that many in the ranks of the SBC and PCA are asking.

Acton is a political organization and TGC and ERLC leaders are also acting politically while they shame every believer in their realm for their conservative political engagement. Why is the ERLC located in Washington, DC if not to be engaged politically? Why do Russell Moore and Albert Mohler shame Christians in the Washington Post and other political media? Why is TGC so focused on church planting in and around the Beltway? Are Christians only allowed to engage the culture if we are moving left of center? Is it not political for the Kern funded Curriculum used in Reformed seminaries to be training students in Libertarian, Catholic, Jesuit, recycled Liberation Theology and Social Justice provided by a Political Think Tank like Action Institute? How is this not deceitful? How is it serving the Gospel or preserving and fulfilling the Great Commission?

Acton boasts its inspiration from Friedrich Von Hayek, author of “The Road to Serfdom.” Though the book is often referenced as a source exposing the tyranny of centralized planning and advocating for a free market economy, Hayek’s Fabian Society has a history raising many of the same questions raised by Father Sirico’s liberal history.  According to many historians, Hayek’s book “moved American Conservatives in a more libertarian direction.” The Mont Pelerin Society appeared “when classic liberalism appeared dead” and “Hayek’s movement marked a decisive moment in liberalism resurgence, becoming the Fabian Society of renewed classical liberalism.” (Ayn Rand Cult, Jeff Walker, p. 292). It was the homosexual founder of the socialist Fabian Society, Edward Carpenter, whose book, The Intermediate Sex: A Study of Some Transitional Types of Men and Women, became a foundational text of the LGBT movement of the 20th century. (Socialism and LGBT Rights)

Centralized Planning or Not?

Consider the open collectivism being espoused by Tim Keller in the name of individual faith in action. How is the collective push of the Acton / Kern Curriculum toward a Faith and WorkDoctrine of Vocation and Halftime (the give back ideology of Bob Buford which is a continuation of LBJ / John Gardener’s Great Society), in fact, not centralized planning being done covertly inside the reformed seminary and eventually within the church walls?

Marvin Olasky, a Senior Fellow of the Acton Institute, is considered the father of Compassionate Conservatism who helped birth the Bush W. era Faith Based Partnership programs. Rev. Sirico seems to be calling for an end to these programs while espousing deeper involvement in Social Justice by evangelicals and Catholics. So whose funding (besides the massive corporate and private foundations) will pay for its expansion? Who gets to hold the purse strings if the funding is to be persuaded out of the churches and believers as they are sold wealth redistribution as a gospel mandate? And where does all of this circular and ideological, economic, theological, sociology, public relations, rebranding, blending of Reformation and Jesuit doctrine of Social Justice end – if not on an evangelical road to serfdom?

And who thinks it is intellectually honest to have taken the approach of a low flying stealth bomber upon trusting and unsuspecting evangelical borders in order to achieve these goals? If these are Gospel-centered mandates, there is no need for sleight of hand or radar masking technology. No shaming of Evangelicals out of even the use of the name “evangelical” or any other classic self-identification Christians may choose to actually identify as being part of the broader body of Christ. There is no need for the use of the same tired talking points to counter vintage Christianity in America and replace it with something devised by Acton or any other think tank in the Western Hemisphere. How is it that this new underground movement is now the historic Christian faith? They continue to tell us we must “rethink” our historic position on every major issue of the day. Which is it? How important is doctrine and theology to those at the ERLC and TGC if they have no caution or discernment about yoking with Acton (Sirico ) and Kern (who funds radical LGBTQ groups through Teach for America) and many other questionable partners? How much does Father Sirico’s reported closet homosexuality influence Acton’s Communications Officer, Joe Carter, who is simultaneously employed by the ERLC and the TGC?

And how do the ERLC and TGC assume we should respond to their efforts to redefine the faith for our families, our churches, our children and our grandchildren? Are we willing to sell the mission of the Church for liberal social justice? Are we blind to the realities Europe is facing with immigration and Islam while our evangelical leaders push for open borders with organizations funded by George Soros and Open Society Foundation? Do partners like Acton, Sirico, or the Kern Family Foundation share any of our biblically (as opposed to culturally relevant) views on human sexuality? Or are we failing to recognize the “beast” we are loosening with sexual liberation in the name of “loving our gay and lesbian neighbors,” Dr. Moore? Can you chart this path for us and for the Body of Christ and be guiltless before man and the Son of Man whose eyes are as a flame of fire and whose Word divides joint and marrow and discerns both the thoughts and intents of the heart?

It seems a moot-point to ask how we got here given all we see the ERLC, TGC, Mohler, Keller and a host of others doing – acting like a rum-soaked Jack Sparrow with a broken compass, attempting to tell us where to find True North. There has never been a set of policies on the part of church leaders and its allies in government, think tanks, Institutes and halls of learning in the US that has so impacted both the mission and doctrine of the church and posed a more clear and present danger to collective religious freedom and living out personal deeply held Christian convictions. The question that remains is how do we, the Body of Christ, recover ourselves from the bondage of this misguided leadership?
