Russell Moore is a political animal of the left who was, thanks to his mentor Albert Mohler, allowed to occupy several influential positions in the Southern Baptist Convention as a Change Agent for over 30 years. Now the Baptist “deconstructionist ” wants to help “Reconstruct Evangelicalism” with his feminist and left leaning social justice friends as part of the “Center for Pastor Theologians”.

VISION & MISSION

SEEKING THEOLOGICAL RENEWAL.
FOR THE VITALITY OF THE CHURCH.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE WORLD.

MISSION

“The Center for Pastor Theologians exists to equip pastors to be theologians for today’s complex world.”

VISION

“Our vision is a renaissance and revitalization of the church in the 21st century. The Church in North America is facing unique challenges and complex cultural pressures. Are we ready and equipped to face these challenges with faithfulness, grace, and love?”

“The church needs a renewed vision for her life and ministry in the world. She must be rooted in the historic gospel of grace, empowered by the Spirit of God, filled with love and humility.”

“The term deconstruction has become something of a buzz word among many Christians and former-Christians. The deconstruction ongoing in the church and culture has included evangelical theology, approaches to politics, public witness, human sexuality, gender, biblical interpretation, and racial injustice. Some of this deconstruction may be necessary, even if difficult and painful. People who truly hunger and thirst for righteousness must be willing to face hard realities, even in our own tradition.”

“This raises the question: is there a future for evangelical faith in America? What will it look like? What should it look like?”

“As people of the resurrection, we must also engage in the redemptive work of re-constructing, healing, and rehabilitating the church. This is why we have chosen Reconstructing Evangelicalism as the theme for the 2022 annual theology conference of Center for Pastor Theologians. This event will be a gathering of men and women––pastors, theologians, scholars, and ministry leaders––from across the diverse spectrum of evangelical confession. Together, we will seek to discern and commend theological distinctives and strengths of the evangelical movement. These theological strengths must be disentangled from the sinful racial, sexual, social, and political structures that have been exposed in recent years. In doing so, we will ask how––and even if––evangelicalism can be reconstructed.”

“This is a hard but necessary work.”

HOSTING THE EVENT IS CALVARY MEMORIAL CHURCH

PASTOR IS Rev. Dr. Gerald Hiestand

THE CHURCH HAS A MAJOR FOCUS ON RACIAL JUSTICE

(FOCUS INCLUDES RACE RADICAL JEMAR TISBY’S BOOKS)

From the host church website:

“The history of race in the United States has been both tragic and complex. But how has the church in America addressed, conceived of, and organized itself in light of the cultural conception of race? How can learning about our past help us change our present and our future?”

Russell Moore has been attempting to deconstruct conservative evangelicalism for decades. It was he who said conservative American Christians had fought a “culture war” and “lost “- “hurt the Gospel” – and needed to make nice – “BE WINSOME” – and “love our gay and lesbian neighbors” ( as if to presume that resistance to Planned Parenthood radical sexual agenda for children called CSI was hatred) . It was his ERLC who ran forward to the front of the “story” when the Houston Chronicle broke the headline about the SBC having a long history of covering up sex abuse even though the mosaic of abusers in the Houston Chronicle cover story photos were actually of mug shots from those abusers who were caught and arrested.

Moore’s “winsomeness” in spewing hatred and accusations against then candidate Donald J.Trump and his supporters among evangelicals landed him in a Trump tweet where he was referred to as “a nasty guy with no heart”.

THE RECENT “LEAKED EMAILS” OF RUSSELL MOORE CONFIRM THAT TRUMP’S TWEET WAS NOT OFF THE MARK AT ALL.

Moore allowed someone to publish his emails filled with nasty accusations against the Baptist Executive Committee and make their way to the press. The “Abuse scandal ” was back on, a NEW INVESTIGATION and TASK Force launched, and is still boiling in the press to today.

A quote from the emails:

“You and I both heard, in closed door meetings, sexual abuse survivors spoken of in terms of ‘Potiphar’s wife’ and other spurious biblical analogies,” Moore wrote to Greear. “The conversations in these closed door meetings were far worse than anything Southern Baptists knew — or the outside world could report.”

MOORE AND HIS CHRISTIANITY BOSSES READY TO “RETHINK BIBLICAL WOMANHOOD “

Just in time to prove there is a larger movement afoot with Moore and his companions in intersectional activism -comes a conference by Christianity Today promising another big “Reconstruction ” project- this one on “Biblical Womanhood ” after the ChurchToo movement and friends like Moore have helped deconstruct Biblical family and manhood.

A candid conversation on the obstacles and opportunities facing women leaders in the church.

“From patriarchal interpretations of Scripture to contemporary incidents of #ChurchToo abuse, Christian women often are treated as second-class citizens in the church. Yet throughout history it has been their tireless contributions that have kept Christianity vital and active in society. The whole church suffers when women’s voices are silenced. And both men and women miss out when women are unable to fully develop and exercise their gifts in the church.  ”

“Join scholars and ministry leaders Kat Armas, Beth Allison Barr, Amanda Benckhuysen, Nicole Martin, and Joyce Koo Dalrymple for a lively discussion on women’s roles in the church from the perspectives of history, theology, and practical ministry.”

CONCLUSION

THE “WINSOME DEVIL “

Moore’s winsomeness has its limits when it comes to SBC Executives who fired him or to the Oval Office where he has winsomely spent a lot of time with his pals like Tim Keller during the Obama years. He was not invited to the Trump administration White House but he did get some attitude adjustment by his Baptist bosses which didn’t last long .

By the time he was out at the Baptist ERLC Moore joined Obama former Chief Advisor David Axelrod in the Institute for Politics at the University of Chicago . His first guest while serving as a Fellow /teacher was old TGC friend Tim Keller, both of whom make no bones about their hatred of Christian support for those who are politically conservative. Why – because BOTH have a long history as Democrats and close ties to many others from the Obama Chicago political machine like Michael Wear.

So now Russell Moore surfaces with some feminist , some justice warriorettes, some activist in the CRT /racial realm , NAE pal Walter Kim (too many compromises to list) and the “Center for Pastor Theologians ” to “RECONSTRUCT EVANGELICALISM”. What a surprise right?

So Guys it’s is really not about the Gospel at all…is it? It is just politics. Please just quit saying it is when we all know it is NOT “a Gospel issue.
