BIO LOGOS “GAIN OF FUNCTION” FUNDER FRANCIS COLLINS TAKES AIM AT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

DESPITE HIS NASTY EMAILS, BURNER PHONES AND PARTNERSHIP WITH WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM AND THE PANDEMIC INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX-FRANCIS COLLINS STILL WANTS TO INVADE CHRISTIAN ED WITH HIS THEISTIC EVOLUTION.

Rev Thomas Littleton

April 13 2022

Francis Collins should be a man without an audience after his secret interactions with Anthony Fauci, burner phones, exposed role among evangelical manipulation and propaganda over the Pandemic, response, and vax .But he seems to be unphased by the light and scrutiny he and his organizations have come under since 2020. Today his BioLogos and its massive annual budget are going beyond the apologetics and theological realm via publishing , “conversations “and conferences and moving forward with the 2017 plan to invade CHRISTIAN EDUCATION seeking to “merge faith and science”.

What this REALLY MEANS is that in Faith in God and His Holy Word must needs take a back seat to any presumed science that looks to be in opposition to it. “Informed Conversations ” in the form of classic Dialectical consensus reaching can alter both the biblical worldview and the view of the bible in a generation under it’s esteemed influence. These “conversations” are moderated and funded across interfaith lines to the tune of $150 million dollars annually -including about one half of BioLogos annual $9 million budget.

Francis Collins with BioLogos crew holding the “&” sign as the central figure in efforts to wed evolution “science ” and Christian Faith through the interfaith funding of templeton foundation.

“At Faith & Science 2022, you’ll explore the surprising links between theology, science and art; hear what disability and racial diversity tell us about being human; learn how Christians can make a difference in the climate crisis; rediscover why we’re wired for community; and take stock of the lessons we must learn from the global pandemic if we are to thrive in the years to come.”

WHAT IS THEISTIC EVOLUTION?

Theistic Evolution supports the idea that the assumed conflict between religious faith and scientific evolutionary theory does not really exist. It supporters are prepared to promote endless “conversations” in the interest of merging faith and “science” in venues from Christian Universities -to churches- to apologetics conferences and now coming to K-12 classroom via BioLogos Christian education curriculum.

According to Wiki overview -“Theistic evolution, also known as theistic evolutionism or God-guided evolution, is a general term comprising views that regard religious teachings about God as compatible with modern scientific understanding about biological evolution. Theistic evolution is not in itself a scientific theory, but a range of views about how the science of general evolution relates to religious beliefs in contrast to special creation views. Theistic evolutionists accept the scientific consensus on the age of the Earth, the age of the universe, the Big Bang, the origin of the Solar System, the origin of life, and evolution.”

BIOLOGOS ASSERTIONS

“Many independent measurements have established that the Earth and the universe are billions of years old.”

ON FRANCIS COLLINS ROLE BIOLOGOS SAYS

“He speaks both languages, understands both cultures, and feels acutely the rift between them. He must know that his insistence on bringing them together could make him less welcome in either. But, for Collins, this pursuit is not an abstract ideal or a political goal. It is, in some sense, a higher calling. For our nation and our species, the future depends on its success.”

BIOLOGOS AND THE BIBLE

“Today’s podcast episode is a re-run of one of our more popular episodes, with one of the BibleProject founders, Tim Mackie!”

“Tim discusses the history of the Bible, explores the context in which it was written, and demonstrates what it looks like to bring the Bible into relevance for the people of today.”

(NOTE -Of course this means starting with Genesis 1-11 BIOLOGS MUST unhinge Christians from taking the creation time line of the bible literally and submitting their faith to the whims of modern science often aimed at undermining it. )

BIOLOGOS WORKING WITH TIME KELLER AND THE GOSPEL COALITION TO SPREAD THE THEISTIC EVOLUTIONARY LOVE AROUND THE GLOBE.

“Ana Avila is the Senior Editor for Coalición por el Evangelio, the Spanish speaking sister of The Gospel Coalition. She shares her journey into writing at the intersection of faith and science.”

COLLINS AND BIOLOGS 2020 BUDGET FOCUSED ON THE PANDEMIC AND NOW PUSHES SAFTY OF VAX FOR CHILDREN.

“An immunologist and a pediatrician share some of the reasons they chose to vaccinate their kids and answer common questions about the COVID vaccine.”

BIOLOGOS RECENT POST ON THEIR NEXT STEPS TO TARGET CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

INCLUDED IN THE BLOG.

“Relax and Learn the Science”

“Teachers who are intentional about presenting all the facts, making space for processing them, and inviting students to perceive science as a legitimate Christian vocation are taking the steps needed to help students let go of their fears.”

“Integrate author Christy Hemphill writes over on the CACE blog about equipping teachers when teaching science.”

BIOLOGOS INTEGRATE CURRICULUM

“About Integrate”

Bring Christ-centered faith, rigorous science, and gracious dialogue to your students with Integrate, a flexible faith and science curriculum. Explore theological and ethical questions raised by modern science, while cultivating virtues such as humility, wisdom, and wonder.”

“Integrate is designed for home educators and teachers at private Christian schools (grades 6–12). It can also be used by Christian public school families at home.”

“After years of getting requests for curricula, BioLogos began developing Integrate in 2017. Focus groups with science educators revealed they weren’t looking for a full new curriculum, but rather quality, vetted resources to help students make deeper connections between their Christian faith and the science they were learning. Integrate has been designed to accomplish that goal.”

“The series of unit studies that comprise Integrate is organized around the main topics covered in a biology course and provides structured activities for a traditional classroom or homeschool use. Many of the units can be used in other science or Bible courses as well. The modular design gives you flexibility to pick and choose the activities that best suit your goals, time constraints, and students’ interests.”

NO INDOCTRINATION JUST DIALOG WITH AN AGENDA ?

“Pedagogy of Hospitality”
“Integrate presumes acceptance of, or directly teaches, the scientific consensus on some matters of controversy within the Christian community: namely, modern cosmology, the age of the earth, evolution, and anthropogenic climate change. At the same time, we as authors recognize that in any community of Christians, there is likely a diversity of viewpoints. Our goal is education, not indoctrination. As such, we include opportunities to explore various Christian perspectives within the Integrate units. Reflection assignments and discussion questions are intentionally open-ended, without an expectation that students adopt any one “correct” perspective. We also believe practicing gracious dialogue is more important than winning an argument. For this reason the curriculum includes opportunities for respectful engagement with others who think differently. For tips on how to create a welcoming environment in your community, see biology professor Kerry Fulcher’s article A Pedagogy of
Hospitality (biologos.link/hospitality).”

BIOLOGOS HISTORY

Our History

“BioLogos was founded by one of the top biologists in the world, Francis Collins. He led the Human Genome Project and now directs the National Institutes of Health. In 2006, he wrote the best-selling book The Language of God in which he tells his journey from atheism to Christian belief, showing that science is not in conflict with the Bible, but actually enhances faith. The outpouring of response to the book showed the need for virtual and actual meeting places to ask questions, discuss issues, and learn from the top Christian minds in the sciences and theology.”

“VALUES ” BUT NOTE THE CENTRAL FOCUS ON GRACIOUS DIALOG I.E. CONSENSUS BUILDING

Core Values

Christ-centered Faith — We embrace the historical Christian faith, upholding the authority and inspiration of the Bible.

Rigorous Science — We affirm the established findings of modern science, celebrating the wonders of God’s creation.

Gracious Dialogue — We strive for humble and thoughtful dialogue with those who hold other views, speaking the truth in love.”

“BioLogos explores God’s Word and God’s World to inspire authentic faith for today.

Our vision is faith and science working hand in hand.”

BIOLOGOS FUNDING– A SAMPLING

TEMPLETON FOUNDATION 2012

” John Templeton Foundation Grant: Celebrating the Harmony between Mainstream Science and the Christian Church 2012-2015: $1,928,863 This grant supports the development of the BioLogos website, an annual conference for evangelical thought leaders, and the infrastructure needed for the development of other BioLogos programs. Since it is a renewal to a previous grant, it covers only half the expenses of these programs and we must raise funds from non-Templeton sources to match the grant.  “

BIOLOGOS ANNUAL REPORT BY 2013 WERE MAKING “PASS- THROUGH” GRANTS

“In 2012 BioLogos established a new competitive grants program called Evolution and Christian Faith. With funding from the John Templeton Foundation, more than $3.6 million in grants was awarded to over three dozen individuals”

2013 A $200,000 GRANT JUST TO TARGET SOUTHERN BAPTIST WITH A BIOLOGOS PROJECT

”  John Templeton Foundation Grant: Building Bridges among Evangelicals on Origins 2012-2015: $190,797 This grant supports collaborative meetings between BioLogos leaders and leaders of two influential evangelical groups — Reasons To Believe and a select group of Southern Baptist theologians — to produce a book, web resources, one public conference and several smaller joint speaking events  “

2018 SURPLUS

“At the end of 2018, BioLogos had a net asset balance of $2.6M. Of this amount, $830k is
from multi-year grants and designated for programs in future years. Cash reserves
continue to be strong, allowing for stability through uncertain economic conditions in the coming year.”

2020 AND THE PANDEMIC

“Through all of our online
efforts, BioLogos addresses
issues at the intersection of
science and Christian faith,
like evolution, creation
care, bioethics, and human
identity. In 2020, this
naturally included key
pieces around the
Christian response to
COVID-19.”

BIOLOGOS JOINED IN THE INFORMATION WARS AND OPPOSING NARRATIVE OPPOSITION…ENDING THE YEAR WITH A SURPLUS

“In August of 2020, and in response to
polarization and rampant
misinformation around COVID-19,
BioLogos announced “A Christian
Statement on Science for Pandemic
Times.” We invited dozens of Christian
leaders to publicly show the biblical
basis and broad Christian support for
taking the scientific findings about
COVID-19 seriously.
Those who signed and shared included
author Philip Yancey, theologian N.T.
Wright, and Walter Kim, the President of
the National Association of Evangelicals,
among many other key figures.
Overall, more than 8,000 signed the
statement, which earned considerable
media attention.”

BIO-BOAST THE NUMBERS

“BioLogos strives to connect its website readers with the ever-growing list of resources on its site in a way that is clear and enjoyable. The John Templeton Foundation provides half the funds to support the ongoing maintenance and growing content on the website; the remaining funds come from individual donations via our general fund. When the BioLogos website launched in April of 2009 we had a readership of just 10,000 people. By the end of 2013, we had over 60,000 unique visitors each month and a total of 440,000 unique visitors for the whole year. People are learning about evolution and how it relates to biblical findings and Christian faith. Our Facebook page has over 18,000 likes and our Twitter feed is up to nearly 4,500 followers. Sharing over 1,400 blog entries, videos, and personal journeys from scientists, students, teachers, and scholars, our website is considered a reliable source to discover God’s revelation of himself through the Word and through his created order. Some of our top blog posts from 2013 include:”

K-12 Educators Resource Center

“If you are looking for educational resources that present a fruitful dialogue between science and the Bible, here are some resources worth exploring. Some of those featured are from BioLogos, some from like-minded organizations, and others from places around the web. We periodically update this page, so check back regularly to see what’s new!”

CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL MARKET IS ALSO IN BIOLOGOS SITES.

“Currently, Christian school teachers and homeschool parents must choose between Christian-published curricula, which are often weak on science, and secular-published curricula. In response, we are developing a flexible, online Christian worldview supplement that presents a positive science-faith paradigm for students. INTEGRATE is designed to be used alongside any standard high school biology curriculum. By emphasizing Christian virtues such as wonder, humility, and wisdom, and by addressing common questions related to evolution, creation care, and bioethics, INTEGRATE helps young people develop a deeper love and stronger understanding of God’s world.  “

TEMPLETON’S BROADER WORK

$150 MILLION ANNUALLY -INTERFAITH AND MULTIFAITH “CONVERSATIONS”

“As President of the John Templeton Foundation, I am often asked to explain what we do and why it’s important. Answering this question isn’t always simple: the John Templeton Foundation gives away roughly $150 million a year in funding to support research and catalyze conversations around the world. These projects cross discplines—from astrophysics, evolutionary biology, and genetics, to philosophy, psychology, and economics. We fund Tibetan Buddhist monks studying science and Harvard astronomers uncovering the most mysterious objects in the universe. Our work seems to elude easy description.”

“But underlying everything the John Templeton Foundation does, there is a far-reaching vision: to inspire awe and wonder and help humanity to understand what it means to live a life full of purpose and meaning.”

“It is a distinctive vision. We are proud of it and believe it has value for the world. Where did it come from? To trace that story to its roots, we need to go back over a hundred years to a small town in Tennessee where the creator of this vision, my grandfather, Sir John Templeton, was born.”

EVOLUTION AND “DARWINS BULLDOG” –UNESCO AND THE HUXLEYS

UNESCO was founded by Julian Huxley who boasted that it would use the dialectic to merge opposites like

Huxley observed, “The task before UNESCO…is to help the emergence of a single world culture with its own philosophy and background of ideas and with its own broad purpose.” Huxley spoke of two opposing worldviews — one founded on supernatural creation and the other on atheist evolutionism — confronting each other from the West and the East. In describing them he said, “You may categorize the two philosophies as…individualism versus collectivism or as the American versus the Russian…or as capitalism versus communism, or as Christianity versus Marxism. Can these opposites be reconciled, this antithesis be resolved in a higher synthesis? I believe…this can happen…through the inexorable dialectic of evolution.”

HUXLEYS GRANDFATHER AND DARWIN-THE KEY TO UNDERMINING THE BIBLE

FROM PBS BIO

“Just as the writer of a song may not be its best performer, Charles Darwin’s genius lay more in developing the theory of natural selection than in forcefully promoting it in the world. For that, there was Thomas Henry Huxley, such an aggressive defender of evolution that he was known as “Darwin’s bulldog.”

“The early life of Huxley (1825-1895) was much different from the privileged existence of Darwin. He was one of eight children, growing up outside of London without much money. He left school early, trained to be a doctor, and educated himself in science, history, and philosophy, becoming one of the most broadly informed and influential figures in Victorian science.”

“Like Darwin, Huxley studied natural history while traveling on a naval ship. Initially, Huxley did not accept evolution at all. But Darwin converted him with the On the Origin of Species, and Huxley mused afterwards, “How extremely stupid not to have thought of that!”

“Although he was much more than a defender of Darwin — he led the movement toward the professionalization of science, for example — Huxley is best known for his public exchange in 1860 with Bishop Samuel Wilberforce. The bishop, a clever, witty debater, opened himself to attack by making a gentle joke about Huxley’s ancestry. Huxley, furious, replied famously to the effect that he would rather be descended from an ape than a bishop.”

“Huxley, the first of a family of important scientists, is also known for coining the term “agnostic” to distinguish skeptics like himself from atheists, who denied the existence of a god. To Huxley, agnosticism was an acceptance of the idea that the human mind could not go beyond certain limits, namely the ability to analyze actual experience.”

ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL MINDSHIFT AND BIOLOGS

ACSI is possibly the most influential organization in CHRISTIAN EDUCATION with over 25,000 affiliated schools . By Spring 2021 ACSI announced its full embrace of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Social Justice with a partnership with CRT and Black Liberation Theology advocate Walter Strickland and UnifyEd. In the same year ACSI used radical inclusion LGBTQ actiivst and their organizations related tot eh divisive “Revoice ” LGBTQ Thirving movement among conservative evangelical denominations the PCA and the Southern Baptist to promote what ACSI asserted to be “scripturally rooted conversations on homosexuality”. After these documents were exposed by this writer and Evangelical media outlet WVW/ WorldView Weekend TV and Radio -ACSI took down the pdf of those resources.

BUT ACSI CONTINUES IT’S PURSUIT OR “SOCIAL JUSTICE” AND DE&I WITH A MOVEMENT TO “START A REVOLUTION IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ” CALLED “MINDSHIFT” ALONG WITH OTHER LEADING ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION REALM.

ACSI AND BIOLOGOS PARTNERING FOR THE FUTURE OF CHRISTIAN ED

“The Challenge of Christian Schooling in a Secular Age.”

“In 2006, the ACSI Education Foundation launched its
mission to secure, manage, and distribute private
support to promote the strategic growth, influence,
and effectiveness of Christian schooling worldwide. At
the request of ACSI’s senior leadership, the Foundation’s
board unanimously agreed to take on the daunting task
of providing visionary, innovative, research-informed
leadership for global Christian schools and educators.”

The First Step
“In February 2015, the Foundation took a strategic first step
by convening a carefully selected group of experts, not
affiliated with ACSI, who care and think deeply about the
education of the next generation. Their task was to assist
in identifying the problems facing the Christian schooling
movement in general and ACSI in particular. We wanted
perspective and candid feedback from scholars, cultural
critics, and Christian school leaders who are thoughtfully
engaged with the challenge of living faithfully in a highly
secularized culture”

“In addition to engaging in full-group discussions, the
following participants presented “TED-style talks” to
their colleagues.
• Deborah Haarsma, PhD, president of The BioLogos
Foundation, shared personal reflection on Christian
education and the sciences.
• Robin Hom, JD, superintendent of California
Crosspoint High School (formerly Chinese Christian
High School), presented a talk on affordability and
accessibility to Christian schooling.
• David Kinnaman, president of the Barna Group,
discussed the implication to Christian schooling of the
research that informed his book You Lost Me”

• David Sikkink, PhD, associate professor at University
of Notre Dame and director of the Cardus Religious
Schools Initiative, interpreted Cardus research findings regarding specific facets of Christian schooling.
ACSI’s senior executive leadership joined in engaging
these presenters through questioning and brainstorming. The discussions and presentations were meant to
provoke rigorous dialogue on educating the next generation to think and act with the mind of Christ.”

ACSI AND MINDSHIFT DE&I PRINCIPLE #6

Principle #6

Diversity, Inclusion, and Justice.

(FROM ACSI LABORS WITH MINDSHIFT.SCHOOL )

“Revelation 7:9 makes it clear that heaven will be populated by all people groups—and thus so should our Christian schools. We also take seriously the biblical mandates to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), to live humbly and harmoniously with those who differ from us (Romans 12:16), and to do justice and love mercy (Micah 6:8). The implications of these scriptures for how we educate students and create communities are profound—and if we are to grasp and actuate them, we need to learn from and with each other. For both educators and students, this requires honest dialogue, time and space, humble hearts and minds, and a commitment to trust-building.”

CASE /ACSI MINDSHIFT LEADER DAN BEERENS AND BIOLOGOS

“Reconciling Faith and Science”

Dan Beerens September 21, 2016

“Christian teachers are called to be reconcilers.  As ambassadors of Christ, they are given this ministry of reconciliation: pointing students to living in harmony with God, neighbor, creation, and self. …..Yet one area of reconciliation that some Christian teachers and churches quietly avoid addressing is the reconciliation of faith and science. This reconciliation gap has been cited as one of the reasons that students “lose faith” in the transition between high school and college. As educators and reconcilers, we are called to imitate Christ, in whom all things cohere and whose perfect love casts out fear. This includes discussing science and faith with students. We are called to continue to show students how the revelation of God’s truth, Christ’s design in creation is an ongoing process of discovery as human beings.”

Dan Beerens is an educational consultant, author, international speaker, and educational leader. Before starting Dan Beerens Consulting in May 2010, he served as Vice President of Learning Services and Director of Instructional Improvement at Christian Schools International. Prior to that, he was the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Holland Christian Schools. Dan has also worked as teacher and principal in urban and suburban public and Christian schools in Wisconsin and Illinois. He serves as a Senior Fellow at CACE (Center for the Advancement of Christian Education), represents Curriculum Trak sales and professional development and serves as co-chair of the annual Christian Deeper Learning conference. He blogs regularly for CACE and is the author of Evaluating Teachers for Professional Growth: Creating a Culture of Motivation and Learning (Corwin Press) and co-editor of the recent book MindShift: Catalyzing Change in Christian Education (ACSI).”

CONCLUSION

Between the full on embrace of Critical Theories- the tools of the trade Cultural Marxist agents of change, theistic evolution. intersectionality , creating and redeeming culture, creating community, appeasing activism, allowing for the cascade of unbiblical self identifications flooding the church via the LGBTQAI movement , and the errors of Neo-Calvinism and antinomianism -the one thing that Christian education is NO LONGER is “CHRISTIAN” . iT’S PRETTY MUCH IMPOSSIBLE to honestly claim that it is and be credible among people who know their God and read their BIBLE.

JOHN 8

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free…

( NOT ALL THOSE WHO CLAIM BELIEVERS HERITAGE REMAIN FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS ONCE THEY DENY THE LORD FOR WHO HE REALLY IS OR DISPUTE HIS WORD AS JESUS WARNED HIS DETRACTORS IN JOHN 8)

37 “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. 38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have [n]seen with your father.”

39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.”

Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. 41 You do the deeds of your father.”

Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.”

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

Before Abraham Was, I AM

48 Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. 50 And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. 51 Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

52 Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ 53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”

54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is [o]your God. 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”

58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going[p] through the midst of them, and so passed by.
