COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET FOR ED STETZER /SBC’s TRUE POLITICAL SELF IDENTITY?

You may not know who Ed Stetzer is but his influence does impact you and your church. He has been VERY influential in the Southern Baptist Convention and in the evangelical church as a whole through his position at Lifeway Research and as his “Exchange” section in Christianity Today. If it were not for Leadership Network no one would likely have ever heard of Stetzer. But this can also be said of MANY of his friends like Rick Warren, Tim Keller, and a host of others ranging from emergent heretics to neo- reformed dominion theology adherents. Stetzer is also a part of the Lausanne Movement which in 2010 began to go public with its latest version of global ecumenical Christian re-branding .
Stetzer has left his finger prints everywhere in Evangelicalism including on the Southern Baptist Seminaries and North American Missions Board . He influenced church planting through his work with Tim Keller, The Gospel Coalition. Stetzer, or the powers behind him, have redefined missions via a focus on urban church planting as a “missions strategy”. This was part of the “Mission Shift ” Movement with emergent leaders like Brian McLaren. Today Stetzer has moved on from Lifeway to take the Billy Graham Chair at Wheaton and recently did a stint as the interim pastor of the famed Moody Bible Church.

STETZER AND THE COMING SBC RESOLUTIONS BATTLE
Stetzer surfaced in the midst of the recent controversies in the SBC as the head of the 2020 “Resolutions Committee” .Controversy continues after the 2019 RC produced a Resolution approving of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality as”useful analytical tools with the Gospel.” The original Resolution submitted to the Committee was a condemnation of the Cultural Marxist tools. Stetzer will now Chair the Committee reviewing complaints and efforts to overturn “Resolution 9”.

In recent months the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton has hosted some very disturbing events like the November 1st Neighborly Faith -Christian Muslim dialog campus movement event to “bring Christians and Muslims together ” helping young Christians overcome their “Islamaphobia”.

The ACTUAL broader focus of the Neighborly Faith events and others like it is to redefine Religious Liberty through protecting the rights of Muslims and LGBTQ and subject the Constitutional rights written for American’s to these forces both antithetical to and intolerant of Christianity and the Constitution .

Six Years ago it was difficult to prove what some had begun to suspect …that money from the far left and the POLITICAL influences that come with it, had made their way DEEP INSIDE the conservative Christian world. NOW there is no denying it.Those complicit with it are no longer even trying to hide it. Will Christians succumb to SIRENS SONG of the Obama Foundation, the Democratic Party, and globalist billionaire activist? Time will but it is not looking good for kool-aide drinkers and Christian media junkies.
